I was very impressed with the work. This is the second time I have used this company. I had them paint several rooms inside my house back in March of this year. Katie came to my house several times to look over what needed to me done and gave me a written estimate every time. This was REAL hard to get from other painters I had inquired with. The workers were always on time, very nice and professional, and went above an beyond what was asked of them.
Description of Work: I had 2 rooms inside painted. Ouside I had my fascia and front porch painted. They power washed the fascia and my front walk. Also had the ceiling of my garage painted.

Exceed expectations. They arrived promptly, finished ahead of time, and the paint job was flawless. Have already referred business to them and will have them paint for us again in the future.

Working with Buckeye House Painting was wonderful from beginning to end. I solicited bids from three painting companies (all on Angie's List). Buckeye was the easiest to work with, submitted the most comprehensive and reasonable bid, and were able to schedule the work quickly. They came on time with two painters and completed the work impeccably. When they left, the room was completely back together (paintings and furniture in place, etc.) and looked great.

One the day of, after getting windows installed the previous day, I asked if he could do 2 windows in the kitchen that had gotten nicked, and he did it for only an extra $25. He showed up on time, did an amazing job and the places where he worked were spotless afterwards. I will definitely use again in the future.

I can't tell you how impressed we were with the professionalism, respectfulness, and quickness of our team of three painters. They worked so well together, and seemed to actually like their job! (Which in this day and age is a miracle, especially in the age group of these young men!) They showed up right on time all three mornings, and worked straight through, except for a short lunch break. They were a pleasure to have in our house - they actually cared about pleasing us (the customer). They moved everything carefully, covered it all, and moved it all back at the end of the job. They did everything they told us they would, and did it all neatly and professionally! We are very pleased with the way our house looks! We wish every contractor team was as good as Buckeye House Painting! My husband was very impressed with them, which in itself is a miracle, because he does a lot the work around the house himself, and prides himself in doing a job right. We wish every contractor team was as good as Buckeye House Painting, and we will definitely use them again, and we will definitely recommend them to anybody who needs their services!!
Description of Work: We had the kitchen, laundry room, family room, sun room, and foyer painted by Buckeye House Painting. I had called on a Friday, and Katie and Dan came out that following Monday morning to give me an estimate/bid. That quick response impressed me right away, whether I chose them or not. I was hoping to get at least part of the work done by Thanksgiving, and the rest possibly before Christmas. They worked with their schedule, and I ended up getting all my rooms done at once, which was really helpful. Katie even came over to our house the week before to help me when I was struggling with the colors. In fact, I should have listened to her opinion for my family room area, but I went with my gut feeling instead of my head. It still looks great, but I should have gone with the more tan/beige color that Katie suggested.

I seriously considered going with Buckeye. The young man and woman that came to our house to perform the estimate were very professional and knowledgeable. We did not choose Buckeye because of their scheduling and pricing; they were a little more expensive and couldn't get to us for several weeks.

I wish we were able to be a little more flexible with our schedule to accommodate his requests but we didn't want to move others already scheduled. However I do feel that his C rating of responsiveness is unfair, due to the fact that we came to give a quote the same day he called to ask for one. He also wanted to work completed within that week, which we did tell him if he decided that afternoon we would try to accommodate him. He waited a few days before calling to schedule and by that time we couldn't be as flexible.

I had a appointment with Buckeye for 9:00am ,but recieved a call from katie at 8:45 ststing that she had a problem ,come up and if she could come at 11:00 AM,she arrived and i told her what I wanted done ,she looked around unlike intyegrity she did not measure area, and I ask you guys do not measure the area ,and she stated that they give bids not estimates so the cost quoted would not change ,but when people give estimates on a job it can change "she then proceeded to tell me what they would do and I ask her some questions that Dale from integrity had informed me of and she answered me .Unlike Dale she went out to her vehicle and wrote up the "BID' and then came back with a Bid of 1335.00 for the two rooms copare to integrity's estimate of 910.00. Also after she left I called Dale at integrity and asked if his estimate would change he stated no.I decided not to use either company ,because I felt that the bids were high, but I was surprise that I recieved such a high bid from Buckeye because in the reports that I read from Angies list Buckeye seemed reasonable in cost, but I think I was given a high bid because of the area I lived in and I think Buckeye knew this would cause me not choose them ,because they did not want to work in this area

It is unfortunate that we are unable to work for this member. I did have to change the time of the appointment, but did contact this member before the appointment was scheduled to ensure it was not creating a scheduling conflict for her, she agreed to reschedule for 3 hours later in the day. The project that she wanted quoted did not require measurements, which we talked about at the time of the quote. I can ensure you that we appreciate any work, no matter what area of town it is in.

I called Buckeye House Painting, they came out within the week to give an estimate to power wash and stain my deck. From there, we set up an appointment to power wash the deck. They then came out about a week later and stained the deck. It was a very efficient process. All of the employees that came by were very kind and professional.

Katie called several days before the start and suggested another contractor to replace some rotted wood around several windows. We called this contractor and he did a good job, once he was finished, the Buckeye guys got to work and the busted b*** for five days or so to get everything painted. They did a first class professional job and the house looks amazing. We were able to get perfect matches for the colors we chose even though they were Pittsburgh paint colors and Buckeye uses Sherwin-Williams. We were very pleased with the finished result.

The quote from Buckeye House Painting was almost identical to or slightly cheaper than those of the other companies we called. We hired Buckeye on the basis of the company?s consistently strong Angie?s List ratings, but just as much on the basis of our interactions with Katie Hermann, who was very reassuring that all the extensive scraping and caulking required would be done right. I should add that Katie was unfailingly professional throughout our job: she returned my initial call within two hours, came out to meet us and write the quote within two days, and then went the extra mile by coming out for a second visit when we needed her advice about some color choices. She estimated that our job would take about four full workdays, and we were pleased with how soon they could fit us on their schedule (within a few weeks). The week the work was to be done, Monday was a holiday and Tuesday was too wet. The crew showed up late morning on Wednesday and spent most of that day scraping and caulking, which, to my relief, they appeared to do carefully. The crew was not chatty but friendly enough and considerate about noise levels (both my wife and I really appreciated this, since we were working a lot at home that week). The crew made a reasonable effort at cleanup at the end of each day, and they tried to be careful about our plants (though some small ones did get pulverized). The paint job itself turned out fairly well, and we are about 90% pleased with the outcome. The coverage looks good and even?no small feat, since we were going from a very dark blue to a pale yellow. Why not 100% pleased, then? The crew put in a part day Wednesday, a normal day Thursday, and then a too-long day on Friday. By late in the day Friday, it sure looked to me as if they were working late and rushing to finish in order not to have to come back out at all on Monday. In other words, our entire job?estimated to take about four days?was done in well under three. That may not sound like a bad thing, but it had some consequences that left me uneasy, most of all that I was asked to do the final walk-around and inspection at twilight, when it was not easy to judge how things would look in full sun. Even so, when we noticed two significant items that had not been done?a garage side-door and a small band of trim on the front?the crew were visibly put out, and the resulting work on the piece of trim was done in a way that I would not call careful. (There were two other small trim-details like that which we?d discussed with Katie and I considered asking to be added as well, but when I saw how the sloppily the one item was handled, and that in quickly fading light, I decided to drop all mention of the other two. After some wrangling, the garage side-door was taken care of, if grumpily.) Worse still, after my twilight ?inspection? and its results?by which time I was increasingly uncomfortable with how things were wrapping up?I was required to fill out the customer survey and comment card and give it directly to the crew leader in order get my receipt for payment. (Surely these two, the receipt and the customer survey, need to be separate, and the customer should not have to fill out the survey on the spot and hand it to the people being evaluated rather than to their employer?) Sure enough, in full sun the next day my fears about a rushed job were confirmed in some small but disappointing ways: (1) Some paint spray ?drift? appears on a couple of downstairs windows, which, I noted, were not protected in any way while the upper parts of the house were being sprayed. (2) Our doorbell was *completely painted over*; I had to scrape the paint out of the mechanism to get it to work again. (3) The outer faces of the storm-screens for the downstairs windows were not carefully done at all: two got significant white smears on the inside of the frames; and they were just laid down and painted on our front lawn, so I had to pick a lot of grass out of the dried paint before I could re-install them. (4) Our storm door on the front is still sticking very badly on the sill that was painted; we were assured that this would get better when everything got completely dry, but so far (a few weeks later) it has not. (5) When the crew was wrapping up, there was further awkwardness owing to some kind of misunderstanding with headquarters: first we were told that one of the company?s owners would be coming by that evening to do a walkthrough with us, then later we were told ?maybe? someone would be by. No one ever did or called. Obviously, these are relatively minor gripes, but, for the amount of money this job cost, and given the company?s stellar reputation on Angie?s List, I was surprised to have as many reservations as I did by the end. I should re-emphasize, however, that the early stages?dealing with Katie, and the prep the crew did on the house?were impressive, and the overall job looks fine (except perhaps for that piece of front trim). Still, I wish things had ended as well as they?d begun, perhaps with the guys coming back, refreshed and in a more patient mood, for a half day on Monday to do the finishing touches and let us do our final walk-around in good light, not near dark at the end of a 12-hour workday when the crew was (understandably) exhausted and eager to go home. CUSTOMER'S UPDATE (10/06/2009)ON THIS REPORT FOR BUCKEYE HOUSE PAINTING: WHEN THEY LEARNED ABOUT THE PROBLEMS DESCRIBED ABOVE, THE OWNERS OF THE COMPANY WENT ABOVE AND BEYOND THE CALL TO SET THINGS RIGHT. ALL OF OUR CONCERNS WERE ADDRESSED RAPIDLY AND WITH A POSITIVE ATTITUDE, ESPECIALLY BY KATIE AND BY THE TOUCH-UP PAINTER, BOB. THE PAINT SMEARS ON THE INSIDE OF OUR STORM-SCREENS COULD NOT BE FIXED EXCEPT BY TAKING AND RE-STAINING THE ENTIRE SCREENS; KATIE IMMEDIATELY OFFERED TO DO THIS FOR FREE AND RETURNED THE SCREENS TO US BY THE END OF THE WEEK. THIS IS CLEARLY A COMPANY WHOSE OWNERS/MANAGERS CARE DEEPLY ABOUT 100% CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. THANK YOU, KATIE, AND BUCKEYE HOUSE PAINTING FOR BEING SO ATTENTIVE TO OUR CONCERNS. WE WOULD CERTAINLY USE YOU AGAIN AND RECOMMEND YOU TO OTHERS.
Description of Work: We required a complete exterior job for our small two-story, wood (planking and cedar-shake) house plus detached two-car garage. Large areas on the house needed intensive prepping (the last paint job—not by Buckeye—was falling off after just three years). Price includes downstairs window frames only (upstairs windows are newer vinyl replacements, didn't need painting).

Exterior house painting. Worked with Katie who was puntual in providing a quote, keeping us updated as to when the project would start, and provided a reference for some repair work which needed to be completed prior to the painting. Work crew was punctual, worked hard and completed the project within two days. Quality was excellent, no mess, no paint stains in areas not to be painted. One problem was minor landscape damage which has improved with time and care.

Buckeye Painting was EXCELLENT! Katie provided the estimate and reviewed the plan. The quoted price was right on. Keith was the painter--what a great, professional guy! Katie took a can of baseboard paint to do an exact match. They used top of the line satin finish paint with everything getting 2 coats for complete coverage. The paint job is perfect. I will definitely use this company again. I've also be recommending them to co-workers and neighbors.

My husband and I are extremely pleased with the work and beauty that Buckeye House Painting has brought to our home. It was up to me to pick the company, and after interviewing 4 painting companies, we decided on Buckeye House Painting. I was very impressed with the time and patience the owner took in explaining the process, and answering all of my questions and concerns. Their color consultant met with me, leaving several samples of the colors that I chose. Their professional team showed up on the day they promised, and started the day bright and early. They were very pleasant to work with, and made a slight change to the contract, at my request. With one rain-out day, the exterior of our home was completed within 5 days. Their crew protected all of our landscaping and all other areas that were not to be painted. They were diligent in cleaning up at the end of each day. I did not have to do anything, except watch as my home was transformed to a more beautiful country home. They removed and replaced ornamental hooks, nailed a loose board, and put extra caulk on the places where it was needed. We highly recommend Buckeye House Painting, and love our home even more today! We had a great experience with Buckeye. Katie was extremely helpful, professional and kind. She was patient, to the point, and very informed about types of paint, surfaces, etc. Dan and Katie came to inspect the final job last year to make sure everything went smoothly, and both were very professional, had great follow-through, and provided great customer service. The painters were very considerate as well, did a meticulous job and were very flexible, and did a nice job of cleaning up.
