Buckeye House Painting

They were very professional. They were prompt. They came out right away. They left an invoice. They did everything quite well.

All the people at Buckeye painting could not be any easier to deal with. The estimate was completed quickly and additional items were added by me before the final cost was determined. It took my wife and I a while to finally choose a new paint color but this did not cause a problem for anyone at Buckeye. It had been at least 6 months between the time I got the estimate and the time I called back to actually schedule the job. Buckeye sent out two highly qualified painters to do the work. They were courteous, clean and thorough. They worked quickly but never appeared rushed. The work they did was very detailed and clean. In the end the job was completed as well as I could have hoped. Everything looked great and I could not be happier.

The crew was polite and the leader asked me a few questions to start with and then they began their work. We have a house that is built on a slope down to a creek. They had ladders that were tall enough to reach all areas easily. They didn't damage any of the landscaping. When they left all that was left was a beautifully painted exterior to our home.

The experience was excellent. They showed up early each day and put in a full day. The crew was courteous, professional and polite. There was no mess left when they were done. We obtained 3 bids, and Buckeye was not the cheapest but only by a few hundred dollars from our lowest bid. But, after having been burned by lesser expensive contractors on various work, I definitely consider more than just price. Their warranty is outstanding and Dan definitely made me feel confident that they were competent--as did the many other outstanding reviews they received. One has to consider value of the job being done. They did an excellent job with the prep work, i.e. scraping off old paint and caulking and such. That makes a huge difference; as when painting, prep work counts for a lot. I am more than satisfied with the value we got for the money. If you read the other reviews, you'll see that these guys are outstanding, and believe me, I don't give that kind of praise to contractors often. If you are getting your house painted, and want a quality job, these guys are top-shelf. Our house (built in the 70s) looks way better than I thought it could thanks to their quality paint job.

They did a really great job. It only took two days and I checked everything afterwards. I did find a few flaws but there was nothing significant. They were very professional. I thought that the money spent for the job was a little bit expensive. I would use their services in the future too.

They were very prompt, courteous, and professional. They were among my top 3 vendors of choice, but I went with another company because of price. I would definately consider Buckeye the next time I have any painting needs. A very impressive company, indeed.

Painters showed up on time and very professional. Doug was very professional and explained how his service worked and how long it would take. Was "right on" with the estimate of time. Would definitely work with him again if need more painting done.

Great! We have used them in the past for exterior painting, this is the first time we've ever had interior painting done professionally. One gentleman was able to paint both rooms exceptionally well in just one day. With our 1 year old running around, it would have taken us several. My only complaint about the interior painting is that the painting didn't do the whole wall in the closet -- he just covered a foot or so in, but we had previously painted the whole wall so there's a two foot or so swath of orange! In his defense, the closet was stuffed full of crap, so he probably didn't want to take it all out. Or maybe he wasn't supposed to. Later that week they came back to stain our massive deck. I am so impressed with their work. The stain they used is fantastic, and it looks absolutely incredible. We have an unfinished wood stoop off our garage door, and they even stained that for us for free! We've now used Buckeye House Painting for three different jobs over the past couple of years, and I have been so pleased with them each time. We're moving, and I'm already planning on calling them for a couple of jobs there, too!

The painters did an excellent job. They communicated each step to us beforehand, talked things over with us as the process continued, and were very courteous and respectful of our thoughts and our property. They actually power washed the entire house as they prepped the wood sections (we have aluminum siding). Every aspect of the job was done thoroughly. The painting was well done, especially on the wooden frames of the screens of the porch. We would definitely hire Buckeye House Painting again.

This company is Fantastic. From the initial contact it is Professionalism all the way. They returned my initial call promptly, owner Dan, came out for an estimate very timely, and all calls to the entire staff during the process were returned promptly. To make sure I had an exact color match they actually removed a non-conspicuous piece of the entrance way and took it to Sherwin Williams! In scheduling the actual work date painting is always dependent upon the weather but they kept me informed all the time about the next estimated start date. They powerwashed the building about a week before the actual paint date to give it time to dry. When I inquired why they had not powerwashed the windows I got a 'very enlightening' response---they do that BY HAND because they don't want to disturb any cracked (or missing) caulking and make it worse and then have water get inside the building. How ingenious--I never would have thought of that! Also unlike other companies that only caulk existing cracked caulking, they actually caulked areas of my building that were NEVER CAULKED (and should have been) when the building was built 7 years ago! The building looks fantastic---better than I thought it would. Also, I may actually SAVE on my heating bill come winter---now that ALL the windows are caulked all around! This is a Fantastic company to work with and I totally recommend them!

Job was done well overall. They did 2 coats with Sherwin-Williams Super Paint. We liked that. Coverage and finish was good. They took the down spouts off, painted all surfaces front, side, and behind. That was also good. Another plus is they replaced two rotting pieces of wood trim on the garage door, which was very convenient for us. We were pleased overall with the job. Only issue was that small sections of each down spout did not get covered. I called Dan, and he sent someone out to redo the down spouts, and touch-up one small area on the garage door. Also, clean-up could have been a bit better. We found several nails in front of out garage, and the old wood strips were left on the lawn after they said they would dispose of them. If we had gotton a flat tire, or someone stepped on a nail and got injured, that would have changed my rating. Nevertheless, a good job overall, and the re-painting of the down spouts without a hassle kept an A rating in my mind. One other note. Many contractors including this one put their sign up in your yard without asking permission. When that happens, I usually take it down. I don't mind giving a bit of free advertising for a job well done, but I expect my poperty to be respected, and my permission to be requested, not presumed.

Great job. Good guys to work with in terms of estimating work and performing it. Used really high quality paint which was appropriate for my house. Arrived on time, worked hard, cleaned up. I have a lot of fine detail work around windows--beautifully done.

It was a very positive experience. I appreciated Katie making an appointment for giving us a quote and the advanced notice we were given every step of the way. The painters, Jose's team, came at 8:30 in the morning and stayed to finish the entire job, including clean-up, until 9:00 in the evening. They were very professional and thorough, and the house looks great.

This is the third job Buckeye has done for me. Each time I have been totally impressed with the quality of the work and the pleasant and professional interactions. They go out of their way to make sure the job is perfect and that everything is satisfactory. At this point, I wouldn't consider calling anyone else for the next job.

The company was great about making sure to provide a matching color of a high quality product in sealer. The labor was quick, efficient, non-invasive and professional.

Mr. McClurg came to my house and gave me a quote on the cost for painting the trim on my house. The trim on my house was power washed 1 week before the painting began. Part of their service was a staff member coming to my house to help me choose a color to coordinate with my siding. The painters completed the job in 1 day, which included 2 coats of paint. They were very polite and efficient. I would recommend this company to anyone who asked.

They did a great job from start to finish, from helping us select colors to working with our schedule to get the job done to painting meticulously and cleaning up afterward. We were very pleased with the quality of the job for the price.

Absolutely Wonderful! I reviewed several companies on Angie's List and obtained quotes from two of the companies AND... I went with Buckeye House Painting primarily because my first interaction with Katie went so well. We looked at my house together and she was able to give me a quote for the cost of the job right then and there. Then she was even able to add me into the schedule earlier than originally quoted. I am absolutely grateful for that because I know that may not have been possible, but this time it was. Jose Hernandez and his crew came to paint my house and I am amazed at the great job they all did. Jose made some minor repairs to my transite siding which had a major impact on the end results. He fixed three areas approximately 3 to 4 inches squared where the siding was broken and two of the pieces were completely gone. He was very ingenious when it came to finding a solution to fix the two places where the siding was gone. One area where the siding was broken had been previously painted over with the broken piece out of its place. A siding contractor had even looked at it and said the whole section would need replacing. But Jose fixed it! He managed to pull the piece out of the bond in paint and replace it to its original position. Absolutely Fabulous and unexpected! These guys work hard and it shows that they go above and beyond to make sure the job is done well. Dan and Katie are pros when it comes to providing great customer service. Just take at look at my photos. One depicts part of the siding that was broken and is now fixed. I really appreciate them going out of their way to do such a great job. THANKS GUYS! Note: The windows were left undone because they will soon be completely replaced.

Everything from start to finish was done very professionally. The sales person arrived when he said he would to provide the quote. When I decided to proceed, it was only a matter of weeks for them to schedule my work. The painter was meticulous in taking care of my belongings. I will definitely have them back.

I also got a quote from another highly rated company, and Buckeye had a comparable price for a higher quality service (color consult service, no paint sprayers, "green" products, etc.). Dan came out and met with me promptly after I'd requested an appointment, he went over the project proposal in great detail, and he left me with a no pressure estimate. Our house is a little unusual, so we took advantage of the color consultation service Buckeye offers. After my husband and I decided to go with them, Buckeye's Katie came out to meet with me to go over both exterior and interior (separate report) recommendations. She and Dan went above and beyond in this regard; I was so indecisive that they offered to come back out and take a look at the samples I'd painted on the house and give another recommendation. Their time is valuable, and I truly appreciated this extra step. The job was scheduled as soon as we decided on our colors, and the crew efficiently planned its work around the rain. All painters were very courteous and conscientious. The job looks incredible and the service was second to none. We would enthusiastically recommend Buckeye House Painting for exterior work.

They responded quickly to my request for an estimate and completed the job with no additional costs. There was some wait because they were busy and the rain slowed things down. The employees were respectful and consciencious. We are very pleased with the completed project.

We had used Buckeye House Painting when painting the exterior of our old house, and were very pleased with the job they did. When we moved, we hired them to paint two rooms of our new house. Katie was extremely easy to work with in scheduling the job during a window of getting the keys and moving in the furniture, and also helped in picking out just the right color. Keith was one of the best workmen we've ever had--professional, friendly, and efficient. He takes pride in his work and did an exceptional job--the two rooms were absolutely transformed by the two coats of paint! We will definitely use Buckeye House Painting for any future jobs, and I'll be sure to request Keith!

I checked out Angie's list and chose Buckeye and one other highly rated company to get estimates from. Buckeye was much more affordable and provided a generous discount because I went through Angie's list. After I decided to go with them the wait time was about 4 weeks which I thought was reasonable. Their office manager, Katie, was very friendly, and kept in touch. She even came out to the house and helped me choose colors, and worked hard to match colors where needed. They kept to the schedule and were punctual, calling several days before to confirm. The work took 1 and a half days (a team of 4 the first day, a team of 2 the next). They moved all the furniture and protected it with coverings. They prepped very thoroughly (taping, caulking cracks and holes, repairing wallboard where needed, sealing stains, removing outlet/switch covers/window treatments). They protected our hardwood floors by padding the ladders. The paint they used was high quality (Duration Home) and wasn't overwhelmingly strong in odor. The painters asked my opinion throughout the process. Even at the beginning, they had edged the ceiling and asked if I was okay with the color. I was going to go ahead and let them start, but they could tell I didn't love it, so they went back to the paint store to get different paint that matched the rest of the ceilings in the house. They worked quickly and carefully and were very particular about getting it just right. Some areas needed multiple treatments and coats (stains, patches, bubbled wallpaper), and the painters kept checking on those spots until they were satisfied. The crew was polite and professional. An especially nice thing they did was to repaint a room after I stopped them half way through because I wasn't happy with the color, and they didn't charge me extra. I even overheard one of them help my daughter with her homework as he was passing by. They cleaned up well, put all the furniture and pictures back in place, and labeled and placed the extra paint in the basement. Later, Katie e-mailed a list of the paints used, by room, along with the order numbers for the matched paints. The work they did neat and professional and my rooms look beautiful.
