Buckeye House Painting

The exterior trim had not been painted in several years and it was definitely time. First, a crew came out and pressure washed everything. A couple of weeks later, they returned to do the painting. I was told it would take two days to complete and that's what it took. Communication was good and the crew was very professional and polite. Overall, they did a good job but there were a couple of issues. First, several of the crank-open windows on the sun porch were painted shut. Second, in a couple of areas, the crew dripped white paint on the brick and did not remove it before it dried. A razor blade took care of the windows but the paint on the brick won't be that easy.

Everything was wonderful. All appointments were kept, color choices are *amazing*, crew was respectful, hardworking, and very clean. They took the time to make sure all joints were caulked/filled in, and the paint job was very detailed and very well done. I highly recommend!

Timely response between estimate and job start. Job finished 3 days on our cedar shingle single family home built in mid 50's. The paint crew were really professionals and real gentlemen. They took care of every detail and made all the recommended final touch ups. We are thoroughly satisfied.

The work took 3 days, every day right at 8:15 they would be at the front door. I work from home, so they they kept the noise to a minimum, they worked straight through with just 30 minutes for lunch on each day. They repaired wall blemishes, repaired a large ceiling crack (pointed out why the last repair job failed and why their repair would work better). The work was immaculate and the result is really a pleasure to view. I'd highly recommend Bob and John for any painting project.

These guys were fantastic. When Bob came out to do the estimate, you could tell that he was a professional, customer centered, and skilled. He promised courteous workers who would be punctual, work that would be done to my satisfaction, and to leave the room clean. He and the workers delivered on this promise. We will be using them in the future.

Jorge, Angel and Mauricio were excellent. Very professional and respectful. Everyday they laid down protective covers over our outdoor furniture and plants. At the end of the day you could not even tell they had been there except for the excellent paint job! Although Buckeye was our highest estimate, I would highly recommend them. You know what they say, you get what you pay for. We are very pleased with Jorge and his crew.

Katie did an excellent job helping us pick out a new color to put on our shutters. Jorge and his crew did an excellent job painting our house. We were very pleased with the results and plan to use them in the future!

Superior workmanship. Ivan is an artist. no a drop of paint on my screens or vinyl siding. We are thriled with the quality.

The service was excellent. They did excellent follow up. There was a lot of rain in the area. They were delayed in being able to complete the work because it would not stop raining. They did excellent follow up. They kept calling and saying, it is too wet and we want to do a quality job but we have not forgotten you. That was extremely helpful. They kept me in the information loop. The quality was excellent. They did a great job matching the color. They were very neat and the coverage was excellent. They did not splash any paint on the house. They were quick and efficient. There were several people here. It was quick, easy and an excellent job.

They painted 2 coats and everything they painted virtually gleams! They sent 2 painters who worked hard for almost 2 days. The guys were very professional, arrived on time. We got 2 other estimates and theirs was the best. We got a discount for saying we found them on Angie's List! We recommend them highly. We had a very bad experience with house painters 12 years ago and Buckeye House Painters has erased the bad taste left by that nationally known franchise of house painters.

I have to start this review by saying that I was present for the entire job as the work was being done. I'm glad I could see it! I really enjoyed my experience with Buckeye House Painting. They were one of 3 companies that I put out to bid on this project and I am certainly glad I went with their services. When Bob Klem, the manager and estimate writer, arrived to do the quote he was right on time and did the quote quickly and thoroughly. He explained how the company works and how he is directly involved with the projects. He went through each area with us and pointed out where they would be repairing and smoothing imperfections. He listened to our requests and included them in his quote. All was proper and standard. When we finally decided to go forward, that is when the experience gained momentum. The entire process was smooth as could be expected. When we finally decided on our colors, we let B.H.P. know and they took it from there. The quote said that the job would be 2-3 days depending on how the paint took and how many coats were needed. On Monday, promptly at 8 AM (as promised), Jonathan and Matt showed up to start prepping the job. This is where B.H.P. really pays attention: prep work took almost the entire 1st day due to the size of the job as well as their meticulous attention to getting the paint edges perfectly straight and clean. Very important stuff that pros get paid for!!! The initial coat of ceiling paint was also applied to the kitchen ceiling. We had several large patch jobs that had to be puttied and sanded and that process was started as well. Day 2 started with 3 painters. Jonathan, Bob (the manager mentioned above), and a third painter whose name has escaped me (sorry). They went right to work at 8 AM continuing the patching, sanding, and started the first floor colors. They took their time to cover all of the work areas with drop cloth and plastic to protect everything from the dust and paint. If there were questions, they had no problems asking and they even dealt with my dog getting in the way and sometimes brushing up against the wet paint! (Sorry, guys.) Very professional and also very nice folks to have in your house. They really do great work. Day 3 started with 2 painters, Jonathan and the above-name-not-mentioned 3rd painter. They finished up the final touches on the 1st floor, painted the kitchen and half bath, then took care of all of my picky requests and concerns (including some work in areas that they were not contracted to do!!!). During the quoting process and on multiple occasions, Bob (the manager) insisted that we be picky during the entire process. I'm glad he did, because I felt free to ask the guys to fix the smallest of imperfections that I found and they did a GREAT job in doing just that! After all the touch-up and hardware replacement, the guys finished up by cleaning up the entire work area, including hands-and-knees cleaning of tile surfaces all around the 1st floor. You could barely notice that they had been there for 3 long days working with paint, putty, sanding, etc. From communication and professionalism to quality of product, attention to detail and general demeanor, Buckeye House Painting really hit it out of the park on this one!

This was the first time that I used this company. They responded quickly for my request for a quote. I was put on their schedule and keep up-to-date for when the work would be done. They cleaned up nicely after the work was completed. We had to wait on the weather because of all of the rain in June. They were $100 lower that the other company from Angie's List that I had used twice before. I will definitely use Buckeye House Painting again.

Buckeye House Painting's job on my Granville house looks absolutely fantastic! This is the second major exterior paint project that I?ve used Buckeye House Painting for and I?m as delighted as the first time! The customer service of Buckeye House Painting was exemplary, as good of a company that I?ve experienced, and as a business owner myself, I'm very demanding of good service from contractors & service providers. The team at Buckeye House Painting - Dan, Bob, Jason, Katie, Mike & Matt - bent over backwards to ensure my satisfaction and took ?old-fashion? American pride in their workmanship, particularly Jason. Jason?s work on the custom arts & crafts-style front door, carriage-house style garage doors, difficult-to-paint second-floor window flower boxes and repair of the porch step to the walkway to the pool was particularly noteworthy & outstanding. I also very much appreciate the follow up visit by Bob & Jason out here to Granville, outside of their normal service area, to ensure that I?m a most satisfied customer. I will be using Buckeye House Painting exclusively now.

Procured proposal from Buckeye (Bob K) in early June which I found extremely fair and comprehensive, along with their commitment to start the work on July 8. Two-man crew arrived early on the promised date and completed our project in a little less than 3 full days. The team assigned (Karl and Byron) were extraordinarily meticulous, professional and hard-working (non-stop except for 30 minute lunches). They asked questions along the way to be certain what they were doing was exactly what we wanted. They cleaned up and removed all their equipment at the end of each day. They did a thorough cleaning of floors, base boards, etc.upon completion of the work and relocated all furniture to its exact position (a noteworthy feat in and of itself). We have additional painting projects scheduled at later dates and will, without hesitation, contract with Buckeye Painting for this and all future painting work at our home. They exceeded our expectations by a mile. If you're searching for a professional painting firm, you would be wise to call this company if you set high performance standards like we do. By the way, just before writing this review, I was shocked to see that the latest reviewer had given Buckeye an F rating. But when I read it, along with Buckeye's immediate response, I concluded it was a terribly unfair knee-jerk reaction by an Angie's member who attempted to assault their reputation simply because the price they quoted was higher than quotes from other companies. In our experience, we relied on the reviews of Angie's members who actually hired Buckeye and could speak to the quality of their work. Thanks to those who took the time to do so, we were able to find a painter we can rely on for all our future needs.

When I told the estimator it was way to high compared to other estimates, she acted as if I was lying and asked who it was. After I told her, she said "It is what it is, take it or leave it". I told her to forget and to get off of my porch. I live in the suburbs, I never thought I would say something like that. It was actually funny after I thought about it.

It went great, the house looks good. The Buckeye crew were extremely professional and I'll use them again!!

After it took me 20 minutes to tape off one window, I bailed on the idea of painting the interior of our house and using a month of weekends+ to get the job done. We saw the great reviews on Angie's List, they had a 20% off coupon and decided to give them a whirl. We called for a quote and within 2 days (I believe it was the actual owner of Buckeye that came out to our house) we had our quote. Great price with the 20% discount. We had 3 colors + the ceiling painted white. The earliest slot we could get was a month out - must mean they have a good business. It took 3 guys just 3 days to knock it out. The lines are sharp and walls look great. They also moved furniture, covered EVERYTHING, put the furniture back, and cleaned up thoroughly. I can't say enough good things about John, Van, and Julio. They were extremely friendly, very thorough, punctual, and quick. From my experience, I would definitely recommend Buckeye House Painting.

It went well. They did a wonderful job, I communicated with Katie who was so nice and helpful. When I called her I asked that the workers put the grill back on the deck, when they came to pick up their display sign in the front of our house. Unfortunately, and I blame myself, there was still a heavy glass patio table they didn't put on the deck, so my husband just put it on the deck by himself this afternoon. So, future customers, make SURE to take inventory of what items are to go back on your deck before they come back for the sign. This is an excellent company with a great price and I highly recommend them!

The process leading up to the actual paint job went fairly smoothly. Buckeye was responsive to our request for service with a very short amount of notice. We had a short timeline because we wanted the house interior painted prior to our move in date and after our floors were refinished. This only gave us about a 3 week window. Buckeye did help us get a paint date in time, but the process following did not go as smoothly. We were advised that the whole project would take two days. The paint crew arrived early on a Monday. Neither my husband or I are familiar with paint timeframes or what the process is like since we've never paid anyone to paint before. As of Monday evening, the painters had finished painting the base trim of our first floor and bathroom and our master bedroom wall paint. This meant that Day 2 would required 2 full coats of paint on the full first floor/bathroom and 2nd floor hall. When we came to check on the paint job after they were "finished" on Day 2. The crew seemed in a rush to leave, so I didn't have a great opportunity to scrutinize the work before they left. I did eventually take a walk around the house and noticed the following: CLEAR streaks of the original wall paint showing through the "2" coats of paint applied to the main walls of the house, dripped wall paint onto the newly painted white baseboards, unpainted wall behind our bathroom toilet and light fixtures showing the old paint. Overall, it looked like they did a very haphazard job. I called Buckeye Painting management and explained our discontent with the overall appearance. They came over the next day to take a look, which we appreciated. They, too, agreed that the job looked incomplete and scheduled for the crew to come back for a refinish. Unfortunately, we had to move in before they could come back, so our plans of getting everything completed before our move were shot. The same paint crew returned the Saturday after we moved into our new home. We had to keep all furniture consolidated to the middle of the room so they could work around it. After another full day on the job, my husband and I came home the next day to find the following: dust sprinkled all over the floor and furniture from the areas where the painters sanded certain spots, paint drops all over our newly refinished hardwood floors and on some furniture. The place was a mess! We, again, called management of Buckeye who apologized profusely for the issue. They came to see the mess themselves and told us they would help pay to get the house re-cleaned. My husband and I spent the whole day cleaning as we wanted to get ourselves settled in from the move. Though we had a very poor experience with the paint crew, I will say that Katie & Bob handled the situation following with complete professionalism. They reimbursed us for $500 (covering cleaning expenses and a portion of the paint job) and advised that this paint crew will not longer be doing interiors for them. In the end, I was pleased with the support that Katie & Bob provided, but will not likely use this service again.
