About us

"We are so confident in our service and quality that we often offer three (3) year labor and material warranties on all full-blown chimney repairs/restoration and certain masonry restoration projects" 15 employees. We are possibly the only exterior renovation company in Central Ohio that restores the full exterior of homes in house so you can hire one reputable contractor to do it all, avoid scheduling multiple trades and contractors, eliminate finger-pointing, and rest assured we will take care of any warranty work should any issues arise. Uses subs, masonry, chimneys, tuck pointing, caulking, stone, concrete, stucco, wood replacement, exterior painting, etc. Charges by the job. Travel charges when over 30 miles outside of 270. Licensed general contractor for special projects. We typically have a min. charge on all trades and projects of $1,500.00 depending on our schedule, type of project, etc. We do charge a 3.5% fee for credit card payments. *Financing Available* for those who qualify: 12 months same cash -- Utmost Consulting, LLC. The work that they actually did was great, but between the company I think that had some communication problems. It sometimes felt like the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing, but everything turned out well and was taken care of. I would recommend them to others.

THEY DID CARPENTRY WORK FOR ME FOR MY CUSTOM HOME. THEY ORDERED, CUT AND INSTALLED QUARRY TILES ON MY COUNTER TOP TO MATCH MY KITCHEN FLOOR. THEY PUT IN A SPECIAL STORAGE CLOSET WITCH MATCHES THE PHILLIPINE MAHOGANY ON THE CABINETS, A WOOD SELDOM USED. WE HAD MANY REPAIRS IN THE KITCHEN -- THEY TOOK CARE OF IT ALL. THEY PAID CLOSE ATTENTION TO DETAIL INCLUDING FITTING TILE PROPERLY AROUND THE STOVE. I AM VERY PLEASED WITH THE REMODEL JOB.

I DID NOT HIRE THE COMPANY FOR THE JOB. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL AND THE ESTIMATE WAS FAIRLY PRICED, BUT I WAS EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY DID NOT EVEN GET ON A LADDER TO INSPECT THE MASONRY ON MY 2ND STORY CHIMNEYS. THE ESTIMATE WAS BASED ENTIRELY ON VIEWING THE CHIMNEYS FROM THE GROUND.

I WAITED TO FILE THIS REPORT TO DETERMINE IF THE REPAIR WAS SUCCESSFUL- IT WAS. I CHOSE THIS COMPANY AFTER REVIEWING 4 OTHER COMPANIES ESTIMATES. UTMOST'S HAS A 3 YEAR WARRANTY WHICH JUSTIFIED THE HIGHER PRICE. I WOULD RECOMMEND ANYONE WITH MASONRY OR CHIMNEY PROBLEMS TO PHOTOGRAPH PROBLEM AREAS BEFORE ANY REPAIR IS DONE AND SPECIFICALLY HAVE THOSE AREAS ADDRESSED IN AN ESTIMATE. THERE WAS A MISCOMMUNICATION OF EXACTLY WHAT PARTS OF THE CHIMNEY NEEDED TO BE FIXED. AFTER I CALLED MARK, HE SATISFIED MY REQUEST BY ADJUSTING THE ORIGINAL PRICE. ALL OF THE EMPLOYEES WERE POLITE IN ANSWERING QUESTIONS. I FEEL THE WORKERS WERE A BIT RUSHED IN COMPLETING THE WORK.

UTMOST RENOVATIONS DID NOT GET MY BUSINESS. THEY RETURNED MY CALL IN A TIMELY MANNER, BUT THE QUOTE THAT I RECEIVED WAS SO HIGH I LAUGHED AND PLACED IT IN THE TRASH. I NEVER WAS VISITED BY ANYONE FROM THEIR COMPANY BEFORE I GOT A QUOTE FROM THEM. I DID FIND OTHER CONTRACTORS TO VISIT MY HOME AND GIVE ME THEIR QUOTES. UTMOST WAS $7900.00 HIGHER THAN THE HIGHEST BID THAT I RECEIVED FROM INDIVIDUALS THAT ACTUALLY LOOKED AT THE JOBSITE BEFORE PLACING A BID. THEIR LACK OF PROFESSIONALISM AND HIGH COSTS WAS A GOOD REASON TO GIVE SUCH NEGATIVE FEEDBACK. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND UTMOST RENOVATIONS AT THIS TIME TO ANYONE SERIOUS ABOUT HAVING WORK DONE IN THEIR HOME.

"IN RESPONSE TO THE ABOVE COMMENTS, UTMOST RENOVATIONS IS NOT ALWAYS THE LOWEST PRICED COMPANY. HOWEVER, WE ARE VERY FAIR, WITHIN INDUSTRY STANDARDS, AND HAVE HUNDREDS OF REFERRALS, MANY ON THIS SITE. IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE, I WAS GIVEN APPROXIMATE ROOM SIZES AND FIGURED A "ROUGH" QUOTE BASED ON THESE SIZES. I ALSO INFORMED THE HOMEOWNER THAT WE WOULD GO TO GRANVILLE, AND I WOULD BE PLEASED TO COME OUT AND CONFIRM THE QUOTE. I WAS ALSO INFORMED THAT WE WERE THE ONLY COMPANY (UP TO THAT DATE) THAT RETURNED THEIR PHONE CALL. IN MY NOTES, I STILL HAVE ROOM SIZES, AND I RECALCULATED THIS BID TO FIND THAT MY "COST" ON MATERIALS AND LABOR ARE APPROXIMATELY 2 1/2 TIMES THE PRICE THE HOMEOWNER INDICATED WAS QUOTED BY ANOTHER CONTRACTOR. CLEARLY THERE HAS BEEN SOME MISUNDERSTANDING IN SIZES AND/OR SCOPE OF WORK. I ALWAYS STATE ON MY QUOTES THAT IF THERE ARE ANY QUESTIONS TO PLEASE CALL ME. I NEVER HEARD BACK UNTIL I READ THIS REPORT.
