Precision Corporation

We initially contacted Precision for Spring turn on service. Adam came out to to our house and started replacing some of our broken 20+ year old heads. When he got to the 5th head, he proposed replacing all 'pop up' heads in our system. With new heads, not only would coverage be improved, but we would be conserving water! We agreed to a whole system revamp and rescheduled for him to come back out, since this would take longer than turn on service. He was able to come back out within weeks to do the system. He also replaced our dated (and confusing) controller in the garage. Walked us through programming and explained everything. He rewired our zones so that they made more sense chronologically around the house. His self proclaimed OCD certainly was to our advantage! He then reaimed all heads and asking if each was to our liking and made sure all flower beds had coverage in addition to the lawn. While he was here we also discussed low voltage landscape lighting which he was very knowledgeable of considering he was here for irrigation. We will be contacting Precision for Lighting services as we were very pleased with our service!

The estimator was punctual and provided an estimate quickly. However, we had specifically asked for an estimate on a replacement (plain concrete) pad. We received an estimate for decorative, stamped, colored concrete and had to ask for a new estimate. Their rationale was that everyone is going with stamped concrete these days. I would have understood a mis-communication had we not been specific in our request. We also asked for the concrete to be removed by hand rather than bringing in a machine since the space between the houses was limited. They reluctantly agreed. The total price was much higher than other estimates and we didn't go with this company. (FYI, a neighbor used them for a driveway with inlaid paving stones and it was beautifully done.)

I have never seen such hard workers. Nonstop. They came to my house 1 month earlier than expected, at 10:00 AM after finishing a job in N. Royalton. They were still working at 8:00 PM when I was in bed wheel barreling stone. When they left, displaced soil was neatly spread out and seeded. Other soil was spread between my perennials. WOW!!! The cost ran higher because where my house sit is where a barn sat years before my house was built. They had to rent a cement cutter to cut what was the floor of the barn. I never knew it was ever there. That first night when I was in bed, I heard concrete pieces beefing loaded into wheel barrels and manually hauled to the front of the house. I felt so bad. Likewise they had to manually haul the stone to the back yard. The original estimate was $2000. When he came to the job we expanded the area of the trench, plus had to remove the concrete. I expected it to at least be $1000 more. It was. No surprises.

The project was suppose to take place in May of 2012. We wanted the project to be completed by Fathers day to host our first party on our new patio. They kept delaying and delaying and the project was not completed until the end of June / beginning of July. The paving work is well done. Our backyard slopes down and out. They had to build a staircase and some retaining walls all the paving work was done well. My two issues were with 1. the constant delays with no explanation. One reason we went with this company was the promise of the completion date. 2. The Bridge over the water feature was basically unusable. All the work on the bridge was done on the last day and you can tell it was a rush job. The awkwardly high arch made for a steep drop down to the patio. So much so you had to consciously slow your stride and if it was wet you would easily slip.The railings were never finished and looked like pieces of wood just nailed to the posts. We went back and forth with the company on this issue. We eventually went with another company to remove and build a new bridge. We are very happy with the new bridge built and installed by Land Creations Landscaping.

I am satisfied for the most part. Reason for a C grade is that I have not heard back from them in over a week (details below) Scheduling was smooth. Glen gave me a call once weather cleared up. His crew arrived on time. I am very pleased with the work they did. But they missed dead wooding a tree which was written in the contract. It was partly my fault that I said "it looks good" and made the payment which cleared the crew to leave. But, as I was reviewing my receipt and the contract, i had the "aha" moment. They missed dead wooding the one tree. I called Glen. He said he would come out to my home to take a look, and they will fix it when they are in the neighborhood next. Fair enough. Issue is, he has not called back yet neither come over to take a look. I also told him I need an estimate on some landscaping work that we had discussed. He said his office will call to make appt. No one has called yet. I may up the grade to B if they ever come back to finish the job. To repeat myself - I am very happy with the work that they DID perform. Just that they did 90% of the job, not 100%.

Strong on sales pitch, weak on scheduling work and servicing faulty work. Salesman made promises that weren't realistic. We kept calling to see when the work would be done and then while we were gone one day the crew showed up and started tearing out our landscaping, which we had previously agreed we would do on the day before the crew was scheduled. The work was shoddy. It cracked immediately and we've had to lay others to fix it over the years. This company still uses our name for a reference (without our permission) and we tell anyone who calls that they should look elsewhere. Thankfully we found a more reputable and professional concrete company.

I called them up, made an appointment, and they came out. It was very easy.

I have used them for the past three winters but face it... This year is the true test. Never met them everything has been done by mail. Found them from a flyer or ad and have been very happy. Driving down my street I see plenty of snow sticks on drives that have not been plowed by other companies.

They said that it’s in their contract that they aren’t responsible for any damages. Their paving is excellent but I would never recommend their tree service.

We’ve used them before and have always been pleased with their work. They were very cooperative if we had any questions or suggestions they were open. If they needed to replace any vegetation, they did so promptly. We have no complaints.

They were fine. I didn't interact with them too much because they just came, closed the sprinkler, and sent the bill.

Very professional and punctual, great pricing and follow-up. I would have signed with them to complete the project, but we were starting late in the season and the backlog was going to take too long for what we needed. I would definitely call them again in the future.

The lawn service installation was set at the end of 4/13 or beginning of 5/13. Then, it was delayed to the week I was on vacation (5/11/13). I rescheduled it on 5/20/13. The company is never show up or inform me. I called and receiving the promise of service in 5/27/13. Then the company delayed the date again. They keep blaming on the weather. They said it needs to be dry bone before they can do it since they have 9 tons equipment. At that time it was not rained for 5 days, and was not considered "dry bone". By this way, the service will never be done till 7/4/13. It too late and too hot. So, we call to cancel the service.

They’ve done a nice job for me over the years. They have done landscaping, tree service, decorative walls and paving. I would recommend them Clean up wonderfully. It's hard to find a company as trustworthy as them.

When we booked our routine spring startup, I asked if we could also have an additional head installed. We had a problem with a small section not being watered properly. We thought we needed an additional head installed. The technician walked me through the issue and tried several different head replacements rather than the more expensive procedure. He was great. And the problem was solved.

I called the office for an appointment and was greeted by a friendly voice. The appointment was set at my convenience. Glenn arrived on time and went to the backyard. He surveyed the area and determined what needed to be done. He wrote the estimate immediately and explained in detail what would be done. The estimate was very complete, including the removal of all debries. The workers were here for 2 days. They were quite thorough in their work. Glenn stopped by to be sure the job was going according to plan. We are so satisfied and excited to have the diseased trees down and the area cleared. Now we need to decide what to do next.

I had rec'd a flyer in the mail from this company for lawn core aeration for a flat fee of $50.00. Since this was considerably lower than the estimates I had rec'd from two other companies, I went with it. Called them up, got on their schedule. They came out and did the core aeration as advertised, good job, cleaned up the driveway and sidewalks.

Wanted to get a "core aeration" for my entire lawn. Most places I checked with wanted to charge from $75 to over $125 for my size lot. Had previously received a postal advertising card from Precision Lawnscape claiming a price of only $50 (plus $3.88 tax) for lots much larger than my own. I called them on the phone in early August. They verified the price, but said the ground was too hard - due to drought and frequent 90 degree heat - to do the job at that time. They told me they would do it in early October. I agreed. In late September, they told me they would be in my area sometime the week beginning Saturday October 6th. They arrived on Tuesday October 9th around 5:30 pm. Performed the "core aeration" on my entire lawn; looks like they did a good job. They left a billing statement for the agreed upon final total, including taxes, of $53.88.

We hired Precision Corp. to revise our irrigation system, remove the old lawn and install sod. We chose sod even though it would be much more expensive specifically because we would be able to keep it well watered and it would be weed free. The workers did their best but the problem is the product they were given was defective. The same day the sod was laid, pieces of sod were dead and dying and the lawn was full of weeds. Within a few days, it was apparent that two different types of sod were laid. One color was dark lush green as you would expect with a good quality sod. Other areas were a light celery green indicating some type of cheap rye or fescue with little or no blue grass. We complained to Moe immediately. Clearly the roots were shaved off in places and the sod died in patches regardless of being properly watered. Weeds were everywhere and wild grasses soon sprouted in the dead areas. Moe told us that he doesn?t do anything until the lawn is ?treated at least twice? and won?t do anything about the weeds at all and it is our "responsibility to maintain the lawn." We have no problem maintaining a lawn. We have done so for well over 40 years and have always had a beautiful lawn. Our complaint is a new sod lawn should not have dead spots, weeds actively growing in it and be bi-colored or of mixed grass types. Now it?s the end of summer. Nobody has ever come to see and discuss the lawn despite our several calls. We spent the summer battling the weeds but the grassy types are impossible to kill. What a disappointment for a company found on Angie's list. Since Precision does not stand behind their work, we will have to get ideas elsewhere on what can be done about the light, celery colored grass and grassy weeds. We have lived here for over 40 years and have always had a beautiful lawn. What a disappointment. This was the worst landscaping experience ever for us. Our advice; stay away from Precision Corp. if you are considering a new lawn.

They did a wonderful job and it is gorgeous. They are a little pricey. Other than that I am very satisfied with the work. It is gorgeous and I am very happy with it.

We’ve used them for several years and they seem to do a decent job. They were on time, they bring their own stuff, and they usually find the problem.

The work cost me $50. They did a fine job. I would use them again in the future.

We have used Precision multiple times over the last 2 years for landscaping. Each time, the office staff is very courteous and Glenn has come out within a day or 2 of my intial call to give me an estimate. In this case, the work was completed within 3 days after getting the estimate from Glenn. Nick was the project manager on this particular job and was very professional and courteous to work with. This company does very good work and they do it promptly. Several of my neighbors have started using Precision for their landscaping needs as well. We will continue to use Precision in the future.

Stay away! They came out July 12, 2010 and started work. A few days later they were starting to put down the lawn, but they had not brought in nearly enough dirt to flatten the back yard. There were rocks from 1" to 10" all over the yard. One of the maple trees was dropped by the machine they were using to plant the tree causing a foot long gauge in the tree. The other three trees had limbs cut from the entire right side making it look lop-sided. Another tree had major limbs missing from the mid portion of the tree and they didn't even take the ropes off from the bottom of the trees - they just mulched right over them. One of the bushes had a tag on it stating it was a 5 gallon bush - not the 7 gallon as was contracted. Come out and see for yourself the lack of quality trees and bushes they installed! My wife asked the owner Mo to complete the job that was contracted, but she threw him off the job when he began yelling at her. When they sued us for payment, suddenly there were terms and conditions that appeared in the court documents that were never included on any of the estimates or contract they gave us. If you decide to use them, make certain you get a copy of their terms and conditions printed on the back side of their estimate! The case is still pending in court, but obviously, we will never provide them a reference.
