STEVE'S HOME MAINTENANCE

Just bought a new home and needed some updating including some electrical work related to upgrading outlets. Called Steve and he was very knowledgeable. He took the time to explain repairs and provide advice on other projects. Work was done quickly, neatly and within budget. Steve charged by the hour rather than the project so we felt we got our money's worth.

He was very capable, and nice. I would use him again.

Steve was originally called for damage to a room from ice dams. I put this off as other projects needed to be done first. After looking, Steve felt he was not qualified to do the work and gave me recommendations. I was very impressed with his honesty. With other projects needing to be done Steve also gave me recommendations. I followed up with his recommendations and very happy that I did.

I've used him before, and he is a talented resourceful guy. He is in the right business, and he's good at what he does. As an example, he took apart an oven door during his last job for me, then it had to be reassembled, and he was able to do that correctly. It was a complicated job.

I called Steve about some potential water damage on a ceiling that I was unable to find the source of. He came the same day and did a very thorough job of finding the problem was with the roof. Steve doesn't do roof work but he gave me a reference of someone who does. Steve took the time to track down the problem and did not charge me since he couldn't actually fix it. It's very rare to find someone that responsive and honest.

I was very happy with the service. Steve was very knowledgeable about diagnosing the problems and had parts available to fix them. The work was done quickly and efficiently, and I felt the price was very reasonable.

No problems, in and out in about an hour and the work was great.

Went overall, our work got pushed back a few weeks more than we were expecting, but overall it went very well.

He was great. He had a good price and good products. He is a type of guy who is really conscious about doing things right without cutting any corners and going an extra mile. He is very concerned about workmanship. I would use their service in the future too.

Steve showed up when he said he would and called when the job had to be postponed due to the weather. He's honest, friendly and his work is top notch. I've used him before and will definitely use him again. He's the best.

It didn't go. They returned my message call requesting their services.

We spent $75 on that service. We continued using him because he is honest, prompt and he will be there when he says he would. He is just a really friendly, trustworthy guy. He is also good at what he does. He did fix a toilet for us once.

Steve was amazing! I had been told previously that I would have to have my counter tops shaved in order to have a new stove fit where the drop in oven was. I did not want to do this. My old oven caught fire and this forced me to replace it. I told Steve I did not want to shave the edges and he offered to move over the cabinet and counter on the right of the oven where there was room. He did this with no damage to the cabinet or countertop. It looks like it was always there! He removed the wood panel beneath the oven and disposed of it and the oven. I found a new range at Sears Outlet near my house and called Steve and he agreed to pick it up, deliver and install it! He also installed the new range hood that I got a week later. My old oven had an outlet on it and when I mentioned how much I was going to miss it, Steve offered to install 2 new outlets which involved cutting holes in the tile. Steve is very professional and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable and confident with him working in my home. Everything looks and works great! I would not hesitate to have Steve perform work at my home again!

Went extremely well. Will use Steve again in future.

Their estimate was around $350 but he was hesitant to do it. I think he had not done that kind of work before and had not installed a range hood like the one I wanted before. I told him what I wanted him to do and he said that he had not done it before but he probably could do it and I did not want that. He did not seem very professional to me. It seemed like he was doing this like a side job.

I was very happy with him and the experience.

Steve is great to work with. He's very busy so it might take a few days for him to return a phone call. But once he does and if you schedule work with him, he will show up and do a great job.

Steve has provided so many different services for us, I don't think there is anything he can't do. He is ALWAYS prompt, courteous, professional, and very reasonably priced. After providing so many services to us over the years, I recommended him to my elderly aunt for her household needs. He was a godsend to her--repairing anything and everything in his usual friendly and efficient manner--water heater, furnace, faucets, and on and on. Steve is not only highly skilled but also a kind and honest person. We are fortunate to be able to depend on him for so much.

As usual, Steve was responsive, punctual and professional. He was able to get to my house within an hour of my furnace dying. Turns out the blower-motor had burned out. Steve was thorough in investigating the issue, quick to get it resolved, and professional throughout. And the price was beyond reasonable. I can't recommend Steve enough!

Steve had done some work in the past so when we encountered some lighting issues right before the holidays we called him and scheduled a time for him to investigate the issues. Steve arrived and assessed both problems and explained what he could do to repair them and provided an estimate of cost. The interior cam light needed to be replaced as it was old and had apparently overheated as evidenced by charred insulation. The exterior light needed a new junction box because the old one was damaged beyond repair. Steve left to get the parts, returned shortly and completed the work - all within about 2.5 hours.

About 9/16 a heavy rain fall caused the water to acummulate and back-up over the patio doors into our family room--soaking a portion of the carpeting. I had a company come in and they removed the wet padding and suggested putting tile in that particular area. I called Steve and asked his opinion about tile in that area. Steve has performed many tasks for me in the past few years so I trusted his recommendation. He said he would lay the tile and suggested the size of tiles ( with a border section ) Steve removed the existing molding--inside and outside--laid the tile--and then sealed those areas with both caulk and a sealing compound. He stained the molding and replaced both in and out side pieces. The area turned out very nice, and we received compliments from several people who had seen it.--during this time our sump pump failed and Steve replaced our pump as well. Steve--as always--had done an excellant job for us to correct a problem we had and made the end result appearance better than before. His recommendations and work are highly valued by us.

I called Steve and the installation was done the following day while I was at work.

His estimate of time and price was exactly right. Steve was punctual, courteous, productive, and had all of the right equipment with him to finish the job--no leaving to get supplies, and returning later as so many contractors do.

Have been fortunate enough to have Steve assist us for about 4 years, while we owned a rental property, as well as, our own home. He is tenacious in hunting down the cause of problems, is extremely thorough in his work. He is honest, and has a strong work ethic. He attends to EVERY EMERGENCY we have had, promptly! His last job for us was the purchase & installation of a new high efficiency furnace & air conditioning system. He takes great care to accomplish every task correctly, and corrects everything he finds could be a problem on the way to completion. He also checks the system several times after install. We have total, complete confidence in Steve, he is a real 'find'.
