The man was running a little late. I received a phone call when he arrived so when I was off phone in 5 minutes, he was done. Told me door was running just fine, he oiled chain & no other adjustments were needed. I told him it was very noisy in its operation. He showed me why and suggested I could fix this by adding some cardboard. He woulld have helped me with this but he did not have cardboard. He did put a sticker on the wall by my opener with info how to call him if I needed anything in the future.81

He came out and did a tune up on the door. The rubber at the bottom was torn and he didn't seem to know how to replace it or fix it.

Lubricate the door and told me WD-40 will do the job also, twice a year

They did a great job. I am really surprised with how quiet the garage door is now. We have been here for 15 years and I don’t think it was this quiet when we purchased it.

I bought a Big Deal for garage door service and called the contact number and scheduled what I thought was an appointment time. The person on the phone was very accommodating regarding the date, and we scheduled for 9am because I mentioned I had some other service workers coming to my home that day. I called the number i had back about 15 minutes past 9am on the day of my appointment to make sure someone was still coming, and I was met with a very defensive business owner telling me that he had a window of time (honestly I can't remember if it was 2 or 4 hours, I've taken some time away from the situation to cool off before writing this review) to arrive for the service. He said I talked to him when I scheduled and he forgot to tell me about the service window, but about 10 seconds later he swore up and down that he told me about it and started to get heated, spouting that he had done this for 17 years and knew what he was doing and how to run a business. I would have been fine with this service window had he kept his cool, as I was working from home all day, but he was EXTREMELY rude almost to the point of disrespectful and told me to call Angie's List to get my money back and he didn't want to come to my house to do the work. So, that's exactly what I did and I will never call this company again.

I called Bruce on 9/7/12 (Friday) about my chain-drive GeniePro 500 series garage door opener that had spontaneously operated while backing a car out of the garage. The garage door did NOT go back up after hitting thecar. Genie believed it was a faulty capacitor. Since the opener was 6 years old, it was 1 year out of warranty. Bruce said he could repair the capacitor on a Saturday morning (9/8/12) for $95. He also noted that he had a deal on a new Genie 800 belt-drive opener for $325 installed. Sounded good to me. Charles arrived on site Saturday morning to install the new opener. As I held the garage door open, he asked why I was holding it open. The garage door would shut unless held open. Turns out the spring on my garage door was shot. (The spring was not visible in this particular Wayne Dalton design). Bruce quoted me an additional $175 to replace the spring and was able to quickly get it out to not hold up the work. Charles was done in about an hour or so (even with a new spring needing to be delivered!) and did a fantastic job. He was personable and you could tell he really knew what he was doing and cared to do a good job. The garage door opener is quiet (great for the room above it) and closes tight. I would highly recommend Charles and Bruce for any future work!

My old garage door, a Sears metal double-width door, was accidentally closed on my car. Car was fine but door was severely damaged. I needed the door fixed or replaced right away to secure my belongings. Central Ohio Garage Door came out the same day and said it would need replacement and I agreed. We called several companies for bids, but Central Ohio Garage Door's price was the best and their promised installation was also the best. We gave the job to them and they did a fantastic job, all very timely and very well done! After the installation, the Sears garage door opener was "sticking" a little bit. This opener was only about 6 months old, so we called Sears to come out to adjust it. They came out and refused to do any adjustments claiming the door was installed all wrong and there was nothing they could do. Sears just left us hanging with no solution. We called Central Ohio Garage Door and they returned, adjusted the opener for no extra charge, problem fixed! But we will never use Sears again for anything. This is not the first problem we have had with their service. Central Ohio Garage Doors products, installation and service are absolutely the best!

The Technition was very professional, he completed the work in a very timely manner. I knew the door was noisy and did not operate smoothly before he came , but I did not realize how noisy or roughly it operated untill he finished his work . I was amazed. I would definately use this company again in the future , and will tell anyone who asks about garage doors to contact Central Ohio Garage Doors.

I'e used them before and I really liked them, and I liked them this time as well. They are very friendly and always give me tips on how to take care of my garage door.

He came at the appointed time and was very professional. He inspected our garage door openers (two of them). They did not need any adjustments, but he cleaned and lubricated the moving parts. He answered all my questions and told me how we could properly maintain them ourselves.

I purchased the garage door inspection and tune-up from Angie's special deals. I was able to make an appointment very soon after that. He came exactly when promised on a Saturday and immediately went to work inspecting my door and electric opener. He made adjustments instead of trying to sell me new equipment like someone else had done about 3 years ago. He said that he would try the adjustment first and I could call him back if I was not satisfied. I have had no problems with the door and opener since then. He was very courteous and I would recommend this company.

It went very smoothly. They said that they would arrive between noon and 2PM and they arrived at 1:45PM. They worked very quickly and efficiently. They were very pleasant and did not make a mess. Overall a very pleasant experience. The garage doors are much quieter. I will certainly call them again for similar work in the future.

The gentleman (sorry, forgot his name) was prompt in arriving, examined our screw drive garage door and proceeded to perform maintenance on it. He replaced the original metal rollers over 10 years old with special nylon rollers , applied a special grease to the drive screw and then inspected the bolts on the door. The result was a significantly quieter door and that is a major improvement !! He even provided me with the name of the lubricant used so that I can apply it twice a year to keep the noise down and the mechanism in good order.

The whole process was very easy. I called to set an appointment and they were able to accomodate my schedule. The appointment was set for the service to take place in a 2 hour window of time (10:00 AM- 12:00PM). The worker (can't remember his name, sorry) showed up promptly at 10:00 (what a nice surprise!). He advised right away that really all I needed was to have the wheels lubed and that everything looked good. I appreciated the quick service (he was done in less than 10 minutes) and confirmation that all was in good working order. It is truly amazing though how much quieter and more efficient the door is now. Great job!

WOW! It is 10:20 pm and we have a repairman from Central Ohio Garage doors, fixing the spring on our huge, heavy impossible to open garage door. Service was prompt, professional and responsive in our time of need. We would have been unable to get our cars out and get to work in the morning if they had not been willing to come out late on a Wednesday night. A great guy--great service.

They had the lowest prices of the 5-7 people I called. They came out same day right at the beginning of the 2 hour window they game me. They called before arrival. The repair took very little time and the price was exactly what I was quoted over the phone. They also had a coupon for a discount for angle's list members. It was a very good experience.

This company provided excellent service with professional expertise and pleasant manner. We contacted them through an Angie's Big Deal offer and are glad we did. This is the best garage door maintenance we have ever had done. The price was also reasonable. The heavy wood door is only two years old but the operation was noisy. This company's maintenance allows the door to operate better than when first installed. We will recommend them and will definitely call them again when needed.
