B & C Vacuums

Ken did an onsite assessment resulting in him removing the main intercom housing. He inevitably repaired a solder connection, replaced a capacitor, adjusted an amplifier, cleaned all of the controls, replaced a piece that was causing static and interference, and tested the main intercom along with all other 6 intercoms within our home. This will definitely improve communications efficiency within our home, and with delivery people at our doorstep.

He received my hoover vacuum to fix it. I left it and then he called me to tell what was the problem and how much would it cost to fix it. When I picked up he showed a lot of knowledge and professionalism. He gave me back all the old parts that he replaced. He did not try to sell nothing else to me. I definitely go back again if I need it. He gave me 6 months of guaranty for his work.

They told me the price upfront, and when to expect it back and they were right on. I appreciated the promptness (two days) and the honesty - it was a pleasure to work with a company like this!

We had something plugged up in the vacuum and we called him to see what the problem was, he helped us over the phone and he never even charged us. We never even met him, and if I ever need some service like that I will call him.

They were very friendly when they were there working for us. They were on time to do the work for us. The were very professional about the job when they were there.

They had it for two weeks and did not do a thing to it. Wouldn't call me back, after I left three messages. Charged a $15 fee for looking at it but did not do a thing. Store clerk was rude. The store was filthy, which was strange for a vacuum place.

They quoted 2 weeks and it was done in a little less than that. Very nice and friendly. The Kirby runs like a new machine. I would use them again.

Twice, the proprietor has diagnosed and repaired my vacuum cleaner while I waited. He is friendly, knowledgeable and his prices are reasonable.

The owner was as rude as any business owner I have come across. He refused to give me an estimate of when my vacuum might be fixed & said that it was a very stupid question. I asked him if I left it there a week if there was a chance it could be fixed. He said that he could not give me any idea. When I said that he had experience with vacuums & he should have some idea, he said that I should take my business elsewhere. That's a quote.

THEY SEEM TO WANT TO SAVE ME MONEY. THEY DO A GREAT JOB.

HE QUOTED $149 FOR THE NEW HOSE. HE DIDN'T HAVE THE HOSE WITH THEM SO HE WOULD HAVE TO SEND IT FROM HIS RETAIL STORE. HE CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND SAID WHEN HE CHECKED THE PRICE OF THE HOSE IT WAS ONLY $110. HE ASKED IF THAT WAS OKAY AND WE SAID YES. SO HE SENT IT TO US.

I BOUGHT A VACUUM FOR HARDWOOD FLOORS. THE PROPRIETOR HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THE MODEL I BOUGHT. THE VACUUM DESIGN IS POOR, SO THAT THE FLOOR HEAD SCRATCHES THE WOOD FLOORS INSTEAD OF ROLLING ACROSS THEM. IN ADDITION, WHEN THE BASE PLATE WAS REMOVED TO CLEAN HAIR AND LINT FROM THE BEATER BRUSH, I DISCOVERED THAT NONE OF THE PARTS IN THE FLOOR HEAD ARE ACTUALLY ATTACHED TO ANYTHING-THEY ARE ALL JUST HELD IN PLACE BY THE BASE PLATE. IT WAS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO GET ALL THE WHEELS, BELTS, EDGE GUARDS, BEATER BRUSH, ETC., BACK TOGETHER AGAIN. THE PROPRIETOR HAD CLAIMED THAT THIS CLEANING OPERATION WOULD BE VERY SIMPLE-JUST UNSCREW THE BASE PLATE & TAKE IT OFF. THE PROPRIETOR REFUSED TO REFUND MY MONEY AND REFUSED EVEN TO RE-ASSEMBLE THE FLOOR HEAD. HE WAS RUDE AND ANTAGONISTIC. WHEN I TOLD HIM I WOULD CONTACT ANGIE'S LIST & THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU WITH MY COMPLAINTS, HE SAID HE DID NOT CARE, I COULD CONTACT ANYONE I WANTED TO.

KEN CAME OUT TO DIAGNOSE AN ISSUE WITH OUR CENTRAL VAC SYSTEM ON A HOME WE JUST PURCHASED. HE WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND PERFORMED REQUIRED MAINTENANCE AT A FAIR PRICE. THANKS!

CHAD WAS VERY FAIR, FRIENDLY, AND HAD A LOT OF KNOWLEDGE IN HIS BUSINESS. HE MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE WORKING WITH HIM.

NOT ONLY WOULD THE CORD NOT RETRACT, BUT IT DIDN'T WORK EITHER. HE TOLD ME HE HAD TO ORDER A REEL. HE SAID THE CORD CAME WITH THE REEL ONLY AND HE HAD TO ORDER THE WHOLE REEL ASSEMBLY, OR HE COULD HOOK UP THE CORD, BUT IT WOULDN'T RETRACT. WHEN I ASKED HIM TO EXPLAIN WHY HE NEEDED THE REEL, HE WAS SOMEWHAT ABRUPT WITH ME. WE ASKED IF HE COULD GET A USED ONE FROM A USED PARTS DISTRIBUTOR. HE SAID NO. WHAT WE DID IS CALL OTHER VACUUM REPAIR PLACES AND WE ENDED UP GETTING A CORD REEL ASSEMBLY OURSELVES AND HAD HIM INSTALL IT. IT TOOK US TWO PHONE CALLS TO TWO OTHER PLACES TO SEE IF THEY HAD IT TO OBTAIN THIS PART. IT WAS A USED ONE AND IT WORKED. THE OTHER THING IS, HE TOLD US WE WERE USING THE WRONG STYLE BAG AND I WENT BACK AND LOOKED AT THE OWNERS MANUAL AND FOUND THAT WE WERE IN FACT USING THE RIGHT ONE. HE MAY HAVE BEEN CONFUSED ON THAT.

SALES ROOM IS VERY CASUAL, BUT DONT BE PUT-OFF. THEY DO A GOOD JOB.

VACUUM REPAIR ACTUALLY DONE ON DAY IT WAS PROMISED(HAD IT FOR A WEEK) TRIED VACUUM AT THE SHOP AND IT SOUNDED WORSE THAN WHEN IT WAS BROUGHT IN. WHEN I STATED THIS TO THE OWNER, HE GOT VERY DEFENSIVE AND USED FOUL LANGUAGE, WHICH I STATED I DID NOT APPRECIATE AS A CUSTOMER AND HE TOLD ME TAKE IT SOMEWHERE ELSE AND HAVE THEM FIX IT-MEANWHILE I HAD ALREADY PAID 95 DOLLARS FOR THIS REPAIR. I HAVE BEEN A CUSTOMER AT THIS SHOP FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND TOLD HIM THIS WAS NOT A WAY TO TREAT A LOYAL CUSTOMER. I WILL NOT USE THIS SHOP AGAIN.

MEMBER WAS PLEASED THAT THE CORRECT ITEM CAME WITH THE ORDER AND THEY COULD PROVIDE THE NECESSARY ADAPTERS. THEY DID NOT CALL TO LET MEMBER KNOW THE ORIGINAL "PROMISED DATE" HAD BEEN MOVED BACK.

THEY WERE ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM RIGHT THERE ON THE SPOT, SHE DID NOT HAVE TO LEAVE IT AND COME BACK WHICH REALLY MADE MEMBER HAPPY.

TOOK IN LATE MONDAY AFTERNOON HAD IT DONE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON. VERY PROMPT. WOULD GO BACK TO HIM AGAIN. WOULD RECOMMEND TO FRIENDS.
