PDQ Doors

8:00 - Door wouldn't open. Looks like the spring is broken. 8:05 - I realize that He-Man couldn't open the door. Devised an alternative method to get to work. 10:00 - Called PDQ. Talked to a real person! They said they could be there by noon. I had to tell them to slow their roll a bit. 1:00 - Met them at the house. Guy was professional. 1:30 - Door fixed. The spring they used is definitely heavier-duty than my old one; my untrained eye can easily see the difference. I would definitely use them again if I have any problems. Fast, professional, and reasonably priced.

It went extremely well and the technician was very well behaved and experienced in the work that he did.

They were thorough, honest, detail oriented. Needed service call ASAP as garage door would not close all the way and appeared to be off track ( crooked). They arrived in just a few hours! Will call PDQ Doors in the future for garage door service.

I was amazed they only sent one person. But after speaking to the technician, he said he only needed one, and he was right. He was thorough, exacting on the details and removed every bit of trash. It was a very professionally done job and I would choose them again in a heartbeat. Even when the estimator came to the house, he explained everything, helped me pick the right door and color too! I couldn't be more pleased.

I submitted a web request for a service call after hours due to a broken garage door spring. PDQ has a nice and informative website that provides the option to submit request for service calls etc. I got an automated response acknowledged the request and received a call about 8:30am the next morning. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite and professional, confirmed the service window of about 2 hours and explained the service and cost for the spring. Jake, the technician arrived on time, inspected the door and went to work. After replacing the spring, he inspected the door further and pointed out several issues with the door requiring maintenance. I knew he was correct as they were issues I had noticed and suspected needed to be addressed. I gave him the go ahead to proceed with the maintenance. The original cost to replace spring was $149 plus tax. With addition of new door rollers, angle iron to support and stabilize the door and replace the torn weather stripping on both sides of the door it added another $145 including the additional labor for a total cost of $294. I did not think the charges were out of line as I knew the parts costs were reasonable etc. He did a very good, thorough job, was very professional. All in all PDQ did a great job.

Jacob K. showed up on time and was quick to diagnose the problem as 'cheap lube' and immediately started spraying down all of the hinges and both motors with the lubricant he had with him. In a matter of minutes, both doors were back to being super-quiet. It is surprising how different they sounded when he was done. More surprising is how we had grown used to the amount of noise they had been making when operating. Jacob was personable, courteous and he made sure to clean up after himself. The only suggestion I have is to have uniforms and/or name badges for technicians like Jacob. He was working hard, but in his street clothes. A uniform would have added to his professionalism.

Very well; everyone polite and professional. Installed very knowledgeable and efficient. My daughter had the same service in January and recommended them to me.

This was a very good experience. The price for the quality door and the opener was fair when compared to the other companies in my area. They sent out one guy that completely removed the old door, all the old tracks and hardware then installed the new one with no issues. He also installed a new garage door opener as well. I would recommend PDQ for your garage Door replacement.

Called on Friday and booked the appointment for Saturday morning. PDD showed up on time, was quick, friendly & professional. Out of 5 places I called for broken spring repair, they were slightly less expensive than the others.

It went very well. The only company available right away, and did not charge emergency dispatch. Work was very professional, and the service was perfect.

This was a great experience. First, Cody Amburgey, came out to my home to look at my existing door system and we discussed the options I had available to me through PDQ. After explaining what options PDQ could provide I decided on what type of doors I wanted and they were ordered. An installation date was set before Cody left my driveway. Cody has tons of experience in this field; he really knew what he was doing and made my decision making a breeze. The installation was @ a week and 1/2 later. I can't remember the installers name but he was really great. Not only did I get new doors but I also got new tracks and springs. The one installer had it all done by early afternoon. The installer took his time and afterwards showed me how to maintain my new doors, what products to use to keep the hinges lubricated and where to apply lubricants for maximum performance. PDQ Garage doors RULES!

Larry put up the new door and installed the door opener. He was on time and worked efficiently and was very neat. He went over the keyless entry and remote use and showed me how to put in the door light. The quality of the door and opener are very good and competitive with others, I would certainly recommend PDQ to my friends.

The entire process was fabulous. This all happened on a Sunday night. I was able to get online and schedule a repairman to come out the next day between 8-10am. The service man called promptly at 7:58am and asked me a few questions so that he could bring with him the items needed for the repair. He arrived promptly at 8:30am and was very friendly and courteous. He took the time to explain my options to me and obtained price quotes before doing anywork. Once agreed upon services were decided, he worked hard and got the job complete by 10am.

PDQ installed new garage doors at our old house which is one of the biggest things I miss about moving. They did an excellent job then and followed up with the same great service at the house for a new door that needed replacement. No reason to look at any other company in the area. PDQ is the best if you want great service and support!

I called PDQ Garage Doors at 9:30 am on Christmas Eve due to wire spool coming unwound. Garage door would not shut. Everyone at PDQ was sympathetic to my situation and my having to leave for Xmas eve. They bent over backwards to accommodate me and arrived within 5 minutes of the estimated time...12:30pm. The technician Joe was outstanding. Very knowledgable and professional. Walked me through everything he was doing and repaired the door to like new condition. I made some minor improvements to enhance door performance while technician was here. Never felt pressured to purchase items but was obvious they were needed. Cost for the level of service was more than fare. Especially service on Xmas eve. PDQ has a life customer now based on the attention and professionalism they provided me. A+ company...highly recommended.

I think he was very aggressive, foul mouthed, and had poor customer service. He was in an extreme hurry. Once her realized there were no more additional add-ons he was on his way. I received no written receipt and he did not go over the bill with me. I feel like if I wasn't watching him he would have found something else to do to my garage door so he could keep charging. I think he did work was not necessarily needed.

Sign up for appt via internet didn't work. Was able to order the type of door I wanted that was not available through another installation group. I had to call PDQ after the promise date to get them to schedule the installation though they had the door on hand. Installation was scheduled for 8-9 am. They arrived at 10:15 am. So far door is working fine. Part of the installation was to add a strip of wood trim. They forgot to bring it. They either went out to get it or had someone bring some over. They used a lower grade of wood than I would have used for my own home. I doubt that if they had done this work on their own homes that they would have used wood with knots in it. I called and complained and am not aware that they made any effort to address this. Because they were late I had to leave before they completed their work and so therefore was not able on the site to let them know of my displeasure. As I was leaving prior to the completion of the job, they wanted to be paid which I found of very poor form. I called the next day to pay and let them know my thoughts about their low grade wood. They were quite pleased to get their money and as I indicated above customer service ended! I hope I don't need to get this door serviced in the future. My 50 year old door that was replaced never needed servicing. I did have two doors installed in KY by another company and they weren't too bad about fixing a few things though I got the message that they all prefer to install and leave you on your own after about 30 days. If you are detail oriented and choose this company I suggest you stay on site to be sure they complete their work to your satisfaction. If they had spent about $5.00 more for some decent wood, I would have been very satisfied, therefore a B score. I am more annoyed than a B score indicates, but give them this in a sense of fairness. Also I paid an obvious premium to get the style of door I wanted. I had received an estimate from another company for an OK door for about $800. less.

The technician arrived right on time and finished within the amount of time I had been told to expect. The new door is steel and works well. It is very quiet and seals well on all edges. I have used PDQ to repair my opener in the past and would not hesitate to call them again.

Checked them out on website. Gave approx. cost right on the website for spring repair. Called in and verified price was true, and it was. Scheduled appointment for next day, but got call later that day there was an opening and I could be moved up a day if I desired. Worker showed up in allotted time, did work quickly and well, and didn't try to upsell or do things I didn't want done. Took the coupon from REACH magazine right off my bill. Seemed like a very professional company and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again. Thanks PDQ.

Our great experience started with the front office of PDQ. We were provided a straightforward quote and quick installation date once we made our purchase decision. The installer, Keith, arrived on time, was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and importantly, excellent at his work. Once installed, he took time to set up our code and explain the details of our garage door operators. Since we neglected to order the 2 operators that we needed in our first order, we had the same great experience the next day with Keith when he came back to install operator #2! We could not be more pleased with PDQ's service and strongly recommend the company.

Removed old hardware and springs, upgraded to torsion spring.

The technician was were good at replacing all the seals and replacing the digital door opener.
