All Around Joe LLC

As usual, (three years now, Joe's "crew" (2 guys this time, John and Nick) were punctual, and their work precise and resulting in a polished finished product. At the last minute, I had to limit there days on the job to three, and we struck one item from the list. But what remained went off without a hitch. I'm now keeping a running list for them, so we can accomplish some things every year. I've had one reservation in the past, but I've learned to compromise and live with it: I like more advance planning of details, but I think Joe's work is so spectacular, and his follow through so good, that he's probably in demand and I'm happy to concede that little thing which at first made me nervous. Don't we compromise on many things in this life?

Perfect. Work was A+. Couldn't have been happier. I'll use these folks again!

My telephone contact with owner, Joe Wood, went very well. He returned my call and willing to give an estimate to install cabinets. I was expecting him to come to my home for the estimate. He does everything over the phone and internet. Emailed him floor plan, number of base cabinets and wall cabinets to be installed. The day of installation, again, I was expecting to meet Joe Wood. I was under the impression he would be part of the installation team. NOT. The guys he sent were punctual, but seem stymied on what to do. Given the diagram of cabinets, the fellows seemed confused, therefore it took quite awhile to get started. The installation was fair to poor. If a cabinet did not go in correctly, the worker blamed the cabinets and the person the measured the cabinets. One cabinet was put in upside down. Another had so many shims, that it was almost an inch off the ground on one side of the base cabinet. The stove was shoved in with the top part of the stove sitting on top of the base cabinets on each side. Again, that was blamed on the people that measured and ordered the cabinets. When I called the owner, Joe Wood, about the unsatisfactory installation, he was very defensive and bordered on rude. His response was to send the same fellow out to fix his mistakes. He seemed incredulous that I wanted him to come to my house top view the issues and give solutions. (My contention is that the original guy knew what to do, he would have done it when installing). Mr. Wood did come to my home, looked at the problems and appeared very agitated. Again, bordered on rude to me. When he left, he took the fellow outside and had rather heated words with him. Very uncomfortable situation. Later, during the fixing of the problems, the worker called Mr. Wood. I could only hear part of the conversation, but could hear Mr. Wood yelling at the worker. He also told the worker to tell me they would not be back to finish the second part of the job. Cash payment was given for cabinet install on the first day. Also, the company trucks were parked in my driveway, which is expected. There was drippage left on the newer driveway. When I mentioned this to Mr. Wood, again, he was very defensive about how new and well-maintained his vehicles are. I explained to him that I did not want anything for the mess, but wanted him to be aware so that in the future a piece of cardboard or something could be put under the truck in the future, wherever they went. He calmed down and then thanked me. I do NOT recommend hiring All Around Joe. The quality of the work was acceptable, after pushing and prodding to get it done right. Mr. Wood seemed more interested in securing work/jobs, than customer service, politeness, and follow-up. This was my first experience picking someone from Angie's List!!!

There was an initial problem of not showing up on schedule, which the owner explained as an office error for which he apologized. I appreciated his honesty. Within 15 minutes Brandon showed up and executed the job admirably, including electrical and ductwork connections, also cleanup of the work area and disposal of the old hood. Brandon was professional, friendly and good about explaining his work. He had to install an extra electric junction box and wire extension-- for which the owner charged no extra fee as a courtesy considering the scheduling snafu. This was a nice touch.

They provided good customer service and employees. He quoted me a price and stuck with it.

Brandon was fantastic. Punctual, professional, and personable.

It was alright. It has issues where the electricity wasn't consistently coming on and off. I mean I would not call an electrical person.

The quote was reasonable for the handyman work. Brandon and Joe were very professional. Brandon's work was thorough and he was efficient while providing good quality of work. I'll use them again.

Brandon was excellent. He showed up on time, was professional and courteous, and provided good suggestions that I would not have thought of to make the repairs look nicer. We concluded our session discussing other projects that I'll definitely be hiring them for.

We were very happy with Joe's work. He and his team showed up on time and did the work effectively. He had the needed tools for the specialized jobs that were done. Re. the replacement of the column, we emailed him pictures of the rusted column and the one we had considered purchasing. He advised additional brackets to secure the new column, which we weren't aware of. We then purchased the column from a local hardware store. When it arrived, he came and provided a jack to temporarily support the house above the porch. He cleanly removed the old column and installed the new one. Re the back deck, he pressure washed it in the same visit. However, it didn't dry that day so he advised waiting several days for it to fully dry. His team returned and blew accumulated debris off the deck before applying the sealant.

Brandon arrived a little late because of a road accident, but he stayed in touch in with me during that time. So I would say he arrived on time. He worked quickly and efficiently and we still had 20 minutes left after he had done everything I asked. He was polite and completed the jobs faster than I had estimated so I when he was done he did other work as I asked him because he finished the list I had ahead of time. It was my first time using a handy man service and it was a good experience.

Joe, the owner, promptly returned my call requesting an estimate and showed up on time as promised. He inspected each door and came up with a couple of possible solutions for installing the trim. We made a date for him to return with a helper to complete the job. Before the date of service, he texted me pictures of the trim to make sure I liked the design and he had it painted before he arrived to install. Joe brought Brandon on the day of service. I was very pleased with the job they performed. The trim turned out beautiful, and because there was some time left, they fixed two additional doors that had issues. Joe and Brandon were respectful and very pleasant to deal with. They were also amenable to wearing shoe covers in the house, which was greatly appreciated. I would definitely hire All Around Joe again!

Did not return my call after trying to contact them for two different projects.

Brandon arrived on time. I had very diverse repairs of barn damage and wear by horses. Brandon was a lifesaver and got me back on track with such patience. I have a tree laying on a fence waiting for him now. And more horse damage. I hope he helps me again.

Joe did not show up nor did he call to say he wasn't going to show up.

This was a $149 big deal purchase. It was fine. They did the work and that was it. To get a better grade from me he could have moved a little faster.

Everything went great! Average Joe had come out and installed the bracket as planned and looks great! The bracket was up and drywalled for me to begin the installation of the fan. Since I was not able to be there during the service, I cannot necessarily comment on the professionalism, but I did leave a key and it was installed when I got home from work. I will definitely be using them again if I need something done around the house. A+

I called and left a message asking to speak with someone about drywall needs - we removed a wall between our kitchen and living room recently. After a week of no response, I reached out to another provider on Angie's List and they came out to quote it right away. We hired the other provider.

Brandon arrived exactly on time, requested the list of jobs I needed him to complete, and started working immediately! When he took 1/2 hr. lunch break, he left me a note (I wasn't around at that time) explaining where he was and when he would return. He was so polite and professional. I will use this company again!!

He did a nice job on prepping some drywall for me to sand and finish, installed a sump pump, replaced the face on my fuse box, re-hung some cabinet doors and tacked in sections of my gutters that were pulling away from the house. He was timely and completed the entire list in the time I purchased.

Went well. We thought we had a bigger problem, but he showed us how to correct it without a major cost.

Bought a big deal for a few hours of work. They came in and did all the jobs. Everything was done before the time was up and I could get some more items done. Was great to work with and will use again.

Terrific. I supplied a list of jobs prior to their arrival so that they would come with the proper equipment. Everything was completed as asked.

I purchased the six-hour labor deal. Communication was immediate and I was promptly scheduled for a morning two weeks out. John showed up on time and worked at the perfect pace?not crazy fast, not at all slow?and knocked about 15 items off my to-do list that made such a difference around here! I took his advice on several things I wanted to do, and toward the end had to find more for him to do because he worked at such a nice pace. I purchased a Big Deal for six hours of labor, and that's exactly what I got (he took a short off-the-clock lunch break in the middle). Very knowledgeable, pleasant and professional, I cannot say enough good things about him. ** I must add: Six days ahead I was told my appointment was going to have to be postponed for a week, and no reason was given. I found this very disappointing; this is the biggest problem I've had with handyman referrals?no follow-up, calls not returned, and days and weeks go by as you wait and give up your time to no-shows However, when I reminded Joe that I was nearly a month behind on all these items due to bad referrals (for other handymen that didn't pan out), he said he would keep the appointment. Thank you Joe, as a result I will definitely call you again. It's so important to be dependable! **
