The service provider was very nice, informative and helpful! The service was supposed to provide pictures, I am not sure if that means printed or digital, however I did not receive pictures. I was shown pictures on the man phone briefly though. When originally purchased on angies list, the service provider missed my message responding to them with my phone number, so I had to call to schedule service. Not a huge deal, lady was very apologetic on the phone.

I'm going to have to call them because I had to pay for a whole can of spray paint to paint the inside of the fireplace, and the paint has peeled off. I'm not pleased with them. They charged an exorbitant price for the chimney cap. I kind of felt like I was bullied into it. The guy who came was very chatty. They were supposed to do a film of the chimney, and he just showed me a photograph on his cell phone. They did some mortar repair inside the fireplace and then said it needed to be painted with a black paint.

Did a through job and cleaned up afterward. Written report and photos sent later.

John Miner was the lead inspector. He was polite, efficient and explained everything very thoroughly to me. They worked fast and the interior of the wood stove has never looked better. He did find a problem w/wood cap siding on the fireplace on roof. I will be hiring them to replace it with James Hardie fiber cement siding. They are going to paint it to match some other trim on my house. Didn't even bother to get another quote since I have confidence in John's work.

Fine! They did a good job. They were very knowledgeable, knew what they were doing, found a few things that had to be done and came back and did them. We were very satisfied. I had a small window of time to get it done and they worked with me on that. It was inexpensive what they did but it was good.

Our representative John was outstanding. He took the time to explain what he was doing, the problems he encountered and how he fixed the issues. He thoroughly examined all the parts indoor and out to ensure everything worked safely. He also volunteered to do follow up if needed. This company gets my highest recommendation Thanks

Provider arrived on time. He cleaned the chimney, took photos to show me areas of concern and then gave me a few tips about the wood I was using. He was friendly, professional and he cleaned up after himself. I'd recommend this provider.

Went well. We bought the chimney sweep deal from Angie's List with the $100 repair credit. We knew our chimney needed some work so we were happy to buy the deal with the credit. Chimney sweep was fine, complete with pictures and report. All the work that was done is listed above. We wanted our chimney to be more stable, more energy efficient, and USABLE! It was not usable when we bought the house! Now it is, and it is safer :) Gary did all the work for us. On the day most of the work was done, he had a guy named Andrew with him as well. They did a good job and my husband was happy to learn some stuff from them and go up on the roof with them and inspect everything. Gary gave us his cell number so he could text us pictures from the roof once the plywood was removed from the new cement cap. Only issue we had was the lock top chimney cap damper wasn't closing properly after installation, but Gary was very responsive and came out and took care of it ASAP. Would recommend.

It worked out really well. I did not have any problems with what they did. They guy was prompt. polite, knowledgeable and did what he needed to do. They cleaned all their mess up. He gave me some recommendations which I appreciated it. Friendly. polite. pleasant. Any questions you asked they had answers for. He came out a few days later and put the membrane up there. They were closed the whole week of Christmas.

The provider was able to schedule us quickly for the Angies List $149 "deal' for gas fireplace cleaning, check-up and inspection which was great. Unfortunately, the employee showed up an hour late for the service window we were given and then only spent twenty minutes at our home. I'm really not sure what he actually did in those twenty minutes other than to try to talk us into purchasing a new gas fireplace set from them. In my husband's words "this seemed like a scam".

We were disappointed we had to wait 3 weeks for the appointment, but the price was decent. The technicians were very professional and took care to keep the area clean. They also took time to explain the results of the inspection and address our questions. However, it felt a bit like the inspection was a foot in the door to sell ceramic coating of the smoke chamber.

Arrived on time, professional, brought drop cloth for in front of fireplace to minimize mess. Took a good number of pictures and was thorough in emailing all info (including Dropbox link to pictures and professional estimate). Only complaint is the mud tracked in from outside onto carpet - could be easily prevented with shoe covers for going in and outside.

Things went really well with them. I liked them so much that I signed an annual contract with them to have them come out every august. They were outstanding!

I have a rental home that has had roof/chimney issues for several years so when I saw the $99 special from Arco for inspection of my chimney I thought it was a good deal and purchased it via Angies List. After many, many...dare I say many attempts to book the service I did not receive a response via Angie's List, e-mail, or phone and so I assumed they were either too busy to perform the inspection and left it at it was. Several weeks, maybe more, after Angie's List began contacting me to see how the service went they began calling and e-mailing me by this time I had already had someone inspect and repair the work. I know this seasonal work can be tough to schedule but did not expect the lack of service I received. In my opinion, if a customer is important to a business they will make the time to contact, schedule, perform, and warranty their work...so many companies including Arco in this instance are not.

Workers were on time, completed the work as agreed, and left the work area neat and clean.

Albert was very professional. He very carefully cleaned the firebox and chimney. I was surprised that he let absolutely no dust into the house, which was no mean feat considering the chimney had not been cleaned in at least 25 years, and probably much longer.

The guy that came out was on time, nice, and professional. He laid sheets down to minimize the mess, and cleaned up after himself. My biggest complaint is that all he really did was clean out the firebox. He did not actually sweep out the chimney, and he wanted to charge me extra to get rid of the creosote (I thought that was the whole point!). He was very interested in up-selling a whole host of different items/services, but I don't feel like I got a very good deal for what I paid for. The roof inspection portion was OK. He walked around the roof, told me a few things I already knew, and tried to sell me some repair services that i don't need immediately but will need eventually.

John was on time and very courteous. He cleaned the chimney very well and showed me before and after pictures. It was very dirty and definitely needed a good cleaning. I was very impressed and will use Arco for any future needs.

The provider did not do anything, no service was given.

They did the work when I was not at home, but everything appeared to be fine.

Chimney was cleaned, but several areas in the firebox and smoke chamber were missed. Left soot, not dangerous deposits. Was accurate on what further needed to be done after his service. I chose to go with another service to follow up on the recommendations. I felt I got $99 dollars worth of service.
