Excellent service, on time, good communication, no problems.

We had a friend who recommend them. We were very happy with them. We were really happy with the end result. They just did a very nice job with it. The price was expensive than the quote but we did extend the size a little bit in the back part and we were really happy with how it turned out so we were okay with the price that we ended up paying. They're very responsive, we did get delayed a little bit, I think they have a over lapping jobs and so got delayed longer than we would have like. They were a couple of days where we weren't sure if they were coming or not but overall it was fine.

Landscape design. We purchased an Angie's list deal-$49 for landscape design. We were very pleased with the design and the attentiveness to our thoughts. I give a B grade because we asked that the estimate to implement the design be parceled into jobs, which was never done.

Collin met with us a couple of times to create the landscape design plan we purchased. He took the time to listen to all the ideas we had and all the areas around the house we wanted ideas for. Within a week Collin had provided detailed drawings and cost breakdowns for all the areas we discussed. He took the time to meet with us face to face to review all the plans and his suggested phases since we had him design several areas. We have met with Collin a couple of times since to modify the plans. Each time he listened and came back with alternate ideas. His follow-up was fantastic and timely. We hired Terra to build out part of the plans he designed. I would recommend Collin and Terra if you need landscaping designs.

I purchased their special through Angie's List last fall. $49 for the Landscapping design. I am now in the process of selecting my plants/trees based on the plan he made for me. I found out today that several of the plants are going to be way too large for my space. I am disappointed that the designer payed little attention to what I wanted and I am basically back to square one again.

We are in the process of reworking the plans for the front yard. I plan to use them this year.

They did a good job, and the area looked very nice.

He had some really good ideas. Let him know may be doing the work in stages. He has a great computer program. He was able to break down the pricing. He was able to price each step out. He was able to give me a referral for my drive way. He was able to give me several different options.

They have done a great job at a reasonable price. They are very prompt and I would highly recommend them.

Professional and knowledgeable for the development of the plan, however missed several appointments to do the work and I ended up canceling the service.

I really liked Collin, he was very professional and courteous. He was excited to help design my yard, and listened carefully to what I was interested in. There were a few changes I requested be made to the plan, and he was happy to oblige. He provided estimates in sections for the front yard, back yard, and a patio that we are considering installing, as well as fully drawn out plans. There were a few minor errors in the plan, which he was happy to fix. The main issue was one of timeliness. We had to reschedule several times to get everything sorted out. He admitted that their advertisement was more successful than they had expected and they were swamped. Over all, my experience was a positive one, and I am considering using them in the future.

The representative was very thoughtful, good listener, and professional. He presented his plan in a timely manner and we may have gone with him but ended up going with someone else for the hardscape. Have not made a decision yet for this Spring's landscape job.

Landscape design was thoughtful, reasonable, and unlike other services I've had in the past, they listened to what I wanted and adapted. Well, worth the wait. Very reasonable prices.

I have been using Terra for snow removal for several years. They do a great job. They come promptly and remove snow from walkways and the sidewalk. They also put down salt. I have no complaints. While they are a bit pricy, it is worth it to have them automatically come and take care of winter weather for me.

The special offer of a landscaping plan for $49 was a way of getting sales leads. Angies List got the $49 for running the advert. Terra got the lead. The first visit must have made them think they couldn't get a profitable job so they just ignored us. Alas... it's a big yard and we could have used some good ideas. Oh well... At least they didn't get us for much!. It does make me less attracted to these promotions Angies List runs... Live and learn

Our experience with them was great. The owner came out. We had a few other folks out, and he walked us through. He was really responsive to our needs in terms of price and what we wanted to accomplish. He did not try to over sell or take advantage of our situation. He worked out a plan to do a landscaping in the front and rear of our home. He was able to reuse some existing plants and stones. He really delivered quality products for us at a great price. We were really happy and we would us him again sometime. He was really great. We actually recommended him to friends and we kind of kept him on our list of folks to use going forward.

Troy Richards came to my home towards the end of 2013 and met with me regarding my landscaping needs and to design a plan for my home. He came back last week and we reviewed the plan and proposal. It looked fabulous and was awesome. He spoke in detail about all the elements, was very knowledgeable about the plants and trees, and gave me an opportunity to ask questions. It was reassuring to hear him speak with passion and thoughtfulness about his work. Troy was extremely professional, very polite and I was at ease listening to him share his ideas. I will review Troy's plan over the winter and make some decisions about the proposal in time for the Spring planting time. I would recommend Troy to my friends and family without any reservation.

They created a great design. They were very knowledgeable and had really good ideas. I explained many constraints and what I was trying to do based on my back yard slopes pretty dramatically from my house and I kind of wanted more usable space out of it. They figured out a way to kind of terrace it and make it more usable, so that was cool.

The designer was wonderful to work with, and the execution was great. The only downside was the lengthy wait for them to get us on the schedule. Overall, we'll worth the wait and investment!

They said the patio would be ready on July 1st, and it was. ||We had one issue (brick laid in a different direction than we expected) that was resolved immediately without extra charge or drama. I am planning to work with them again in the future."

It was an Angie's List Big Deal taht I purchased. It was good. Everything went reasonably well.

After several attempts, I was able to get an excellent landscape design plan for our front yard that looked great. They were great to work with and were just busy because I bought a big deal.

I cannot wait until we are able to get to work on his proposed project!

It's worked out pretty good so far. We had the landscape design done and got an idea of what we would put in, move around, etc. We're looking at hiring them for the job. They're making changes on the design so we haven't gotten an actual quote yet.

On that basis we wrote a positive review of Terra dated 1/13/2014. Unfortunately, the nice appearance of our lawn did not last and the review of Terra needs to be drastically revised. At the time we stopped communicating with them (in late 2014) we had replaced at least once many of the plants they provided and in some cases had done so multiple times. After the first replacement at their expense and following some very disappointing discussions described below, we took on the replacements at our own expense. The attached picture(s) show our front yard as it currently exists. But, that is only part of the story. When we began this process, the area next to the house was provided with new topsoil and a variety of plants were installed with the expectation that they would spread and fill the space over time. Instead of spreading, many have barely survived and have been replaced (including a ?Red Dragon? Cutleaf Japanese Maple replaced twice ? once at their expense and once at ours). Subsequent soil testing by OSU revealed no unusual soil conditions in the yard. More discouraging, however, was the replacement of our lawn with new sod. All old grass was removed, and Terra obtained sod from Columbus Turf Nursery and installed it in two areas of our front yard. Despite contracting with a lawncare service as part of the project, the sod began to die in spots. Within a short period of time we realized that the sod had been installed with a plastic mesh backing that was beginning to be exposed through the dead grass in several places. When the lawn was raked, the mesh would catch in the rake and pull up what little was left of the dead or dying sod in these spots. When we asked Terra about this, they suggested we buy a leaf blower instead of raking. As the dead spots in the lawn increased, we asked Terra to inspect the areas and determine what should be done. In the process, they sent a representative from Columbus Turf. His conversation with us was so appalling that my husband literally had to walk away from the discussion. In essence, the representative said that our lawn was like a dying baby in the hospital nursery, a case of ?failure to thrive?. At that point my husband and I agreed that we were done with Terra and would do whatever remedial work was required on our own. We have waited some time to write this because we were not sure how to tell this story without ranting. We hope this description is of help to those considering either of these two companies.
