This company has to be THE WORST flooring provider I have ever encountered. We spent over 11k on flooring which included the moving of the furniture and the removal and reinstallation of the toilets in the bathroom. Well, the installers damaged the furniture, walls, and some networking equipment. They also did not reinstall the toilets. This was all at a time when the home was being prepared to go on the market. Their negligence and delays cost me money. I had to hire a different plumber to reinstall the toilets. They kept avoiding me at the store, email, and customer service phone calls for over a year until they were contacted by Ohio Attorney General's Office and the Better Business Bureau. Afterward, Rite Rug only offered to reimburse us for the plumbers but does not want to own up to the damage although a mountain of evidence is stacked against them. That's ok. Well, our attorneys are on the case. BY NO MEANS WILL I EVER RITE RUG AGAIN. This company sucks! They only care about money and not the quality and service that is expected from every good company. My social media followers know about this company now. Apparently, the folks at Wrong Rug are not well-versed in the area of risk management as I am. I hope they go out of business.

The installers were outstanding. They moved furniture, removed old carpeting, and installed new carpeting in 9 rooms in 8 hours. The installers were hard-workers, very courteous and professional. They also cleaned-up the mess after completion. No complaints.

Rite Rug did a really good job installing the carpet and were really nice. I was really impressed with the people who came to the house to install the carpetting. They were friendly and well groomed.

We had used the services of Rite Rug once before for installing carpets. They removed the carpets in our living room and our dining room to stain the hardwood floors. They also replaced the old carpets with new ones in the hall upstairs. My experience with Rite Rug was favorable. My wife mainly worked with them and I never received any complaints from her about them. We are happy with the floors and the new carpets as well. They did a pretty good job. We will use them again in the future.
Description of Work: We had Rite Rug refinish our hardwood floors which were installed around 40 years ago, but were never finished, as we had carpet on them.

Rite rug put new carpet in my front room and laminate in my kitchen and dining room Nov. '03. My carpeting has formed a bump midway into the front room and my family room adjacent to the kitchen. I wanted the problem corrected so the room would look nice. On 1/12 I called Rite rug and explained the above situation. The gentleman on the phone told me the warranty was good only for a year, and asked me if we had a piano because heavy furniture can cause that problem. I told him that there was no piano and that I was ok with the fact that the warranty had expired, but that I needed to have the carpet problem corrected. He told me someone would call me on 1/15. I never got a call back from Rite Rug. Since they already had all of my information I felt it was pointless to chase them down to help me. On 1/26 I searched Angie's List and found another company to fix my carpet problem.
Description of Work: Called for carpet repair on 1/12.

Experience in the store was favorable. Salesperson was helpful and accommodating. Installation was very poor. They didn't stretch carpet nor did they properly tack it down. Carpet popped up in several places as soon as they left. Called customer service to get someone back out. Got the runaround and they said they couldn't get someone out right away. We said that wasn't acceptable and they agreed to send out someone to look at the problem (after several calls). They then sent the same two bad installers back out. We wanted to ask some questions about the install, but the language barrier prevented a meaningful dialog. We sent the unqualified installers away as they were of no help again. Rite Rug offered to send a translator out next time. We declined and suggested they simply send someone who could install carpet well. After about a week they sent out a knowledgeable installer. He fixed the carpet. I wouldn't buy from Rite Rug again. Others we spoke to had similar issues with Rite Rug

I bought the carpet and installation with my parents for their new condo. My parents are senior citizens, and they are both mobility-impaired. Not only is the carpet an eyesore, but it is an outright danger. My mother has already tripped on the carpet. Both my parents are frail and the move has been difficult enough without the added stress of having to deal with a vendor like this.
Description of Work: Installed carpet in an empty house. Installed different different dye lots. When the carpet was initially delivered in the empty house, we requested the company come and inspect carpet prior to installation. This was requested because we have heard this is a common carpet problem. They refused. Carpet was installed and indeed, it was different dye lots. Carpet was also poorly installed with many bubbles. Transition strip between carpet and kitchen was never installed either. Vendor did say they would replace carpet - but my parents have since moved into the house and are in no condition to pack up and accommodate this. My parents requested that to make up for the hassle and inconvenience, one small additional room be carpeted (not part of the original installation). The vendor refused.

HE WAS VERY SLOW, AND IT TOOK HIM THREE DAYS TO BE DONE WITH A ONE DAY JOB WHICH PUSHED BACK OUR CARPET INSTALL, AND MADE FOR MANY HOURS OF MISSED WORK. I HAD TO CONTACT RITE RUG EVERY TIME THERE WAS AN ISSUE LIKE THE LATENESS, THE SLOWNESS, WE WERE SHORT ON TILE, HE BROKE ALL OUR BASEBOARDS, AND DID NOT REPLACE THEM, ETC. MY SALESPERSON BASICALLY JUST GIGGLED ABOUT HOW BAD THIS CONTRACTOR SEEMED TO BE. THE CARPET WENT MUCH BETTER, BUT THEY WERE LATE AGAIN WITH NO PHONE CALL. I DID HAVE SOMEONE COME OUT TO ASSESS WHAT STILL NEEDED TO BE DONE IN THE BATHROOM, AND HE WAS ALSO 2 HOURS LATE. TOLD ME SOMEONE WOULD CALL ME TO SCHEDULE THE DATE FOR HIM TO FIX IT. ONE WEEK LATER, STILL DIDN'T RECEIVE ANY WORD SO HAD TO CALL RITE RUG AGAIN. NOW, SOMEONE IS SCHEDULED TO FIX IT A FULL MONTH AFTER I PAID IN FULL. I HAVE SUBMITTED TWO DETAILED COMPLAINTS TO RITE RUG'S COMPLAINT DESK WITH NO RESPONSE.
Description of Work: WE HAD NEW CARPET INSTALLED IN OUR MASTER BATHROOM, AND TWO WALK-IN CLOSETS. WE HAD CERAMIC TILE PUT IN OUR MASTER BATHROOM. WE PAID FOR FULL SERVICE INCLUDING REMOVAL OF ALL OLD FLOORING, FURNITURE MOVING, ETC. FIRST, THE CERAMIC TILE INSTALLATION PERSON WAS VERY LATE WITH NO CALL FROM RITE RUG.

WAITED WEEKS WITHOUT ANY FOLLOW UP ON STATUS OF ORDER. FINALLY GOT SOMETHING SCHEDULED AND WHEN IT GOT HERE, WE FOUND OUT IT WAS NOT PROPERLY MEASURED AND MAY OR MAY NOT FIT. THE INSTALLERS WERE THE ONES TO CLUE ME IN TO THAT, WHICH WAS GOOD. I CHOSE NOT TO TAKE THE CHANCE AND INSTEAD WAS GOING TO REORDER AND RESCHEDULE. I HAD TO CONSTANTLY FOLLOW UP TO FIND OUT WHEN WE COULD EXPECT ANOTHER SHIPMENT AND FINALLY, HOW TO GET OUR MONEY BACK. ENDED UP GETTING THE SAME CARPET FOR OVER $1,000 LESS. TURNED OUT RITE RUG OVER ESTIMATED THE AMOUNT OF CARPET NEEDED FOR THE JOB. THE PRICE WAS HIGHER PER SQUARE FOOT.

WE EXPECT REPUTABLE COMPANIES WILL MAKE GOOD ON THEIR COMMITMENTS TO PROVIDE THE GOODS AND SERVICES PAID FOR. THE RITE RUG STORE IN POWELL HAS FAILED THIS BASIC CUSTOMER SERVICE PRACTICE. THIS WAS OUR FIRST AND WILL BE OUR LAST EXPERIENCE WITH THIS CARPET RETAILER.
Description of Work: A REMNANT WAS CHOSEN AT THE POWELL STORE AND PAID FOR. IT WAS TO BE SENT OUT TO BE BOUND AND A PAD WAS TO BE ATTACHED TO THE BACKING. AFTER A 10 WORKING DAY WAIT, WE WERE CALLED TO COME IN TO PICK UP THE CARPET. THE CARPET LOADED INTO OUR TRUCK WAS NOT THE CARPET SELECTED. THE STORE EMPLOYEES COULD NOT EXPLAIN THE MIX-UP. AFTER SEVERAL DAYS, RITE RUG HAS YET TO FIND THE CARPET AND HAS MADE NO OFFER TO MAKE THE SITUATION RIGHT.

VERY FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. CAME OUT WITHIN 24 HOURS TO MEASURE THE ROOM. SOME OF THE SEAMS AND EDGING WERE NOT DONE RIGHT AFTER THE JOB WAS DONE. THEY HAD A HARD TIME COMMUNICATING WITH US AS THEY DID NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. THEY CAME BACK OUT TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH A VERY PROFESSIONAL REPAIR MAN WHO FIXED THE PROBLEM FOR US BEAUTIFULLY. I DON'T THINK I WOULD HIRE THEM AGAIN BASED ON THEIR ORIGINAL PERFORMANCE.

WE INITIALLY WENT TO RITE RUG FOR THE SALE PRICE ON CARPET. THEY STATED THAT INSTALLATION WAS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE. WHEN THEY CAME TO MEASURE, BROCK BUCHANAN'S MEASUREMENT WAS OVER 70 SQUARE FEET MORE THAN MY MEASUREMENT. HE REFUSED TO TELL ME THE SQUARE FOOTAGE, I FIGURED IT OUT BY CALCULATING USING THE $.15/SQ FT OVERCHARGE TO INSTALL ON THE CEMENT SLAB. HE REFUSED TO EXPLAIN HOW HE CAME TO HIS MEASUREMENT. I ALSO DISCOVERED THAT THEY WERE PLANNING TO CHARGE $30 TO INSTALL, BECAUSE I LIVE IN DELAWARE COUNTY. THE STORE IS IN DELAWARE COUNTY AND THEY SHOULD LET CUSTOMERS KNOW THAT INTALLATION IS NOT FREE. THEY ALSO SUDDENLY NEEDED TO CHARGE $25 FOR 2 METAL STRIPS AT ENTRY POINTS, (WE ONLY NEEDED ONE). WHEN CONFRONTED ABOUT THE EXTRA CHARGES, BROCK WAS RUDE AND CONDESCENDING. I BELIEVE THAT RITE RUG MAKES UP FOR THE SALE PRICE BY OVERMEASURING.

THE ORIGINAL SCOPE WAS FOR TWO BATHROOMS, HOWEVER THEY COULDN'T INSTALL IN ONE, BUT I DIDN'T FIND OUT UNTIL INSTALLATION DAY. I WAS TOLD TILE INSTALL WOULD ONLY TAKE ONE DAY AND IT TAKES TWO. THEY ARRIVED LATE, AND WERE VERY MESSY, TILE GROUT AND GLUE ON WALLS, TRIM AND VANITY. ESTIMATE FAILED TO INCLUDE REPLACING TRIM IN BATHROOM SO IT HAD TO BE SPECIAL ORDERED AND INSTALLED LATER. THE TILE WASN'T INSTALLED SO THE FLOOR WAS LEVEL RESULTING IN THE NEED TO HAVE A PLUMBER COME TO RE-INSTALL THE TOILET. I ALWAYS HAD TO CALL THEM. THEY NEVER CALLED ME. STAFF WAS POLITE, BUT NOT VERY PROACTIVE. CARPET INSTALLERS DID A GOOD JOB, BUT WERE ALSO LATE ARRIVING.

THEY WENT THE EXTRA MILE IN LOCATING THE VINYL FLOORING WE WANTED. AFTER PURCHASE, WE DISCOVERED THAT THE DESIGN WE LIKED HAD RECENTLY BEEN DISCONTINUED AND WAS IN SHORT SUPPLY. RITE RUG CALLED AROUND AND HAD IT SENT OVER FROM ANOTHER WAREHOUSE THAT STILL HAD STOCK.
