Terry quickly returned my phone message about setting up a time for an estimate, arrived promptly for the estimate, and they arrived as expected to do the work. All painted surfaces look great. When they removed the wallpaper in my foyer, there was some residual backing from a previous wallpaper that had to be removed and was very difficult to get off. They persisted, though! They finally stripped down the entire vaulted foyer, repaired the imperfections in the wall, and treated an old water spot. The painted foyer now looks beautiful. They also painted the vaulted ceilings in the living room and foyer. The work was done very professionally and courteously, and they took great care to leave everything clean. I would recommend them without reservation.

Everything went as planned and expected. Terry and Aaron worked efficiently and it was amazing how quickly they were able to complete such a professional job. The lines between the woodwork and walls are clean and the finished job is fresh and actually more than we had hoped for. They were very organized, came well equipped to perform the job, and went about their business. They kept me well-informed as the paint job progressed, were very non-intrusive in our home, and even befriended our little cockapoo! They are helpful with suggestions even when we were in the process of selecting paint colors before the actual painting started. The are very courteous and most importantly, entire trustworthy. I had absolutely no reservations about having them in my home and would have felt comfortable leaving the house when they painting had that become necessary. We will definitely use them again!

I had several companies quote the work but it took several days before we heard back from them with the figures. Spivey came to quote when it fit my schedule, in the evening, and had a price for me before he left my house after he scoped the work. The price was right on, it included all labor and materials. They showed up as expected and the work is phenomenal. We are extremely pleased with the results. They team that executed the work was professional and did an excellent job of cleaning up after they were done. This was truly a pleasant experience and we are already creating a list of new jobs for Spivey to complete. Thanks!!

I needed a newly purchased home painted within a short time frame prior carpeting the floors and having movers move furniture into it. I searched Angie's list and selected Spivey's Painting based on their customer ratings and feedback. I was looking for a painter that could provide high quality services for a fair price, and be able to complete the work within my required time frame. I found that in Spivey's Painting. Terry called me back the same day that I requested a quote, met me at the house that Saturday morning, prepared an itemized work proposal, and agreed to start the work on the following Tuesday morning for me. I paid Terry 50% of the balance upfront, and the final 50% at the completion of the job. Despite my uncertainty of the actual wall paint colors up to the Tuesday morning that the painting began, Terry remained flexible and assisted us in selecting our final paint colors. The entire project experience was both pleasant and professional. The work was completed as promised. Due to the excellent job that Spivey's did painting the main part of the house, I had Terry paint the Laundry room and Garage on separate price quotes. Both quotes were fair and that work was also completed on time without any issues. I paid for each of these items after Spivey's had completed the painting. I Would not hesitate to use Spivey's again or recommended them. It was one of the best project's that I have experienced in my 30+ years of home ownership.

Showed on time for the estimate. Was the first to provide the quote. Wasn't the least expensive but quoted a fair price. Showed on time to complete for the work was done within the day.

We set up an appointment with Terry Spivey just prior to Thanksgiving of this year. Mr. Spivey not only showed up for our appointment for our quote at the time we had set up, he was a little early which impressed us considering we had other painters give us 4 to 5 hour "windows" for appointments. That said a lot to us. Mr. Spivey gave us a quote within 15 minutes. We had contacted other painters and had waited 2 to 3 days for a response from them. He also suggested to us about using contrasting colors instead of a single color as we had planned. Due to our commitments, we decided on a date for the work to be done that was very accomidating for us. He even left color sample booklets for us to help choose the colors we wanted. Just a phone call to let him know the colors we chose was all we had to do. The work was done in one day and we are VERY pleased with the results. He and his crew were very professional and the house looks great! Over all, we are extremely pleased with our entire experience with Spivey's Premier Painting and will use them again for our painting needs! A+++++++ in our opinion.

Good customer service, just out of our price range

We signed the contract in Aug 2012 and scheduled the painting to be done between Oct 20 and Nov 20. Prior to painting 3 of the bedrooms and the hallway floors were refinished and stained. We finally were able to coordinate our travel schedule and Terry's work schedule and settle on 11/13 as the start date. Terry was prompt and his team went to work. They were neat, cleaning up as they went being careful of the room's contents and newly refinished floors. The results were outstanding, the completed look exceeded our expectations. They finished ahead of schedule! Terry works hard to accommodate special needs or requests in order for the homeowner to be completely satisfied with the completed work. I would recommend Spivey Painting to anyone needing exterior or inside painting; you will not be disappointed with the results.

I originally had extensive carpentry work and painting done on my house last year. Because of the extreme heat of the summer, some of the wood framing around the windows had expanded and separated. I contacted Terry by email and he contacted me back within 24 hours. He said it would be no problem to fix it. I also had his crew paint the trim around my windows. As I stated in my previous review, I will continue to use this company. I don't know of any other companies who are this responsive to their customers. Terry wanted to ensure I was happy with the work even a year after it had been performed and it was no hassle to get him to come back. Thank you Terry for caring about the quality of your work and the customer's satisfaction. I highly recommend this company.

I am preparing to sell my home. As part of fixing things up there was of course a lot of painting needed to freshen things up and cover up some paint choices (deep gold and blood red) that would likely not be received well by potential buyers. My first thought was to call Terry Spivey because of excellent past dealings with his company. The amount I stated for this review actually covered two separate jobs. In both cases, Terry came out to the house, reviewed the work and prepared me a written detailed quote. In both cases he schedule a day his crew would come out and begin work. They were prompt, courteous and did good work. No complaints. On a side note, if I ever have other small handy man jobs, like I did in this case, I always mention them to Terry when I have him in to quote. His guys do much more than just paint. I seriously considered having him totally clean up my driveway (edge it, fix the cracks and then resurface it. He even quoted that job too.) I elected not to do it simply because I am moving and didn't to plow even more money into a house I am trying to sell. So I elected to just have him seal the two obvious cracks. It was a great experience. His company is one of those once which I will recommend without hesitation. This is really saying something because in the last several years I have been super disappointed by other vendors and I am not what you would call a super picky person. (My husband IS super picky and he loves the work Terry's crew does too.) You won't go wrong using Spivey's!! A++++ Highly recommended!

Crew were prompt and courteous. They were efficiently and effectively together. Schedules were adhered to. I was very pleased with them as a contractor. Written estimate was clear and concise. No surprises that added to the cost and no requests for advance payments that were not agreed to originally.

We are very pleased with the job and found Terry and his sons to be very nice to work with. They were very professional and detail oriented. He was very prompt and did a good job of meeting the schedule. I know this was a challenge with the weather. They were careful to apply paint under the optimal conditions for instance the moved around the house based on where the sun was positioned. I felt like they also were very knowledgeable and did the job right. For instance they applied primer first vs just paint. After the job was done we noticed there were a couple of minor areas that initially did not cover completely.. These were up high and only showed up in just the right light. Even though we had already payed, Terry was very responsive to understand and address our concerns. They came back quickly and completed the touch ups we requested. I was very impressed with how well they stood behind their work and their great service. They were a pleasure to work with and are highly recommended.

I am extremely pleased with the work that Spivey Premier Painting performed at my home. The owner is a man that communicates clearly what he will do and then follows through and does it. I took the time to get several estimates and I chose Spivey because he was able to communicate confidently to me that he had the experience to do the quality work that I was looking for. He is also very good with colors. My house had several different colors going on with the multi-colored brick and roof and he helped us pick a solid stain color that really pulled everything together well. We have received several compliments about how our home looks with the new color scheme. The quality of the job is top notch. They did a very neat job and there is no paint anywhere where there should not be paint. I will definitely call Spivey for my future painting needs.

I live in Kettering, Ohio and was not sure if Spivey's Painting, whose home base is listed in Lebanon, Ohio, would come to Kettering. It was no problem at all. Terry Spivey and his crew did a great job of painting my house. They were very detail oriented, courteous and professional. He does a detailed estimate with all the dates. He is easy to talk with and makes good suggestions but is not pushy at all and I never felt pressured to have additional work done. I really liked that. Would definitely recommend this company to others.,

Excellent job. Professional and accurate estimate. We discussed several painting options an I choose the option which best suited the the appearance and maintenance issues for my home. Through cleaning and perpetration of siding followed by a clean paint job covering all external surfaces. Great attention to detain and customer service. Price was the lower that all of the multi-million estimates received.

He was bit high pressured. I got the job done for about $1200. The bid was for a couple more things but not $4800 worth.

Terry's team members were true professionals. They came about 2 weeks before the actual painting and power washed and cleaned all the window frames, doors, trim, etc. When they performed the painting, they were very meticulous in their work - not only having no drips or overbrushing on the brick or windows, but also no residue on the sidewalk, driveway, or grass, either. They also re-caulked all the windows before painting. Terry suggested that we spray paint the fine mesh screen that covers the soffitt vents to match the trim - and this produced a very nice appearance. They were courteous, on-time, and high quality in their workmanship. They were not the low-cost painter, but their slightly higher quote was well worth it for the finished product. I highly recommend their work.

We contacted Mr. spivey for an estimate. He came to the house and provided a great quote. He gave us a schedule that he stuck to! We were very pleased with the end result. We will have him come back next year to stain the deck.

y From beginning to end the work went well. Terry and his team were on schedule as agreed. They were neat, used drop clothes to protect plants and landscaping,and cleaned up each day. Terry informed us daily what they would be doing and identified any questions or issues as he progressed. Extremely professional and considerate of the home owner. My wife and I are extremely satisfied with our newly painted house and asked Terry to submit a quote to paint the interior upstairs.

His estimate was timely and within expected price range. The crew arrived promptly and work was professional. Mr. Spivey was very helpful and easy to work with. My exterior trim looks like new. The interior work was to be followed up on, but he did not follow through. When I approached him about the fact that more paint would not cover this (the seam lines), he said he would come look at it. He did contact me to come, and then we had a conversation about how more paint would not cover the poor workmanship. Instead of coming, he ended up just writing me a very unprofessional letter giving me a wrong price for the interior ceiling work. The response was completely unprofessional. I then sent him a letter in return via priority mail, with his original price enclosed. It was ripped open, but then sent back to me saying it was unclaimed. So not only was the workmanship on the interior poor, his follow up was completely out of line. I would never recommend him to anyone else, especially for any interior work.

Very prompt and professional in coming out. The estimate just a little off.
