Description of Work: An estimate was provided. After missing our confirmated appointment for an estimate, I contacted them them to let them know I was disappointed by their no-show. They called to apologize and stated my appointment just must have gotten lost in some e-mails. They offered to come out at an alternate time. I had decided not to set up a second appointment given their failure to appear at the first, but then they called again to apologize and explained this was the first appointment they had missed in many years. Given their high rating on the list, their second call, and that it appeared this was not a regular occurance, I decided to give them a shot. They appeared on-time at our second appointment. They gave us a note of apology and a gift card to Applebee's for missing our first appointment, which was a nice touch. We received our estimate quickly. We decided not to use them because their estimate was significantly higher than others we had received.

Description of Work: I SCHEDULED JUST BASEMENTS FOR A BID TO FINISH THE BASEMENT OF A HOME I WAS PLANNING TO PURCHASE. THE TECHNICIAN ARRIVED QUITE LATE, SEEMED A LITTLE SKITTISH AND LOST HIS CAR KEYS DURING THE 3 HOURS IT TOOK TO SPEC. OUT THE JOB. HOWEVER, THE FOLLOW-UP, WITH A PRINTED OFFER, COMPLETE WITH DIAGRAMS AND DRAWINGS WAS EXACTLY WHAT I ASKED FOR. THE COMPANY FOLLOWED UP WITH PHONE CALLS AND ADDITIONAL LITERATURE AND WAS VERY THOROUGH. UNFORTUNATELY, WE DID NOT PROCEED WITH THE WORK FOR UNRELATED REASONS. HAD WE PROCEEDED, I WOULD HAVE HIRED JUST BASEMENTS TO DO THE WORK. THEY ARE A LITTLE PRICEY, BUT MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL THAN OTHERS I DEALT WITH.

 + -1 moreTHE FINAL PRICE WAS TOO HIGH, EVEN WITH OPTIONAL DISCOUNTS. THE PLAN PROPOSED WAS COMPLETE AND THE LITERATURE PROVIDED WAS VERY NICE AND ORGANIZED. ULTIMATELY, IT WAS THE PRICE (OVER $3000 DIFFERENCE - FOR LESS OPTIONS) THAT KEPT US FROM DOING BUSINESS WITH JUST BASEMENTS. THEY DID PROVIDE THE ESTIMATE IN 1 WEEKS TIME AND FOLLOWED UP WITH A PHONE CALL. EVERYONE WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL.

THIS WAS A SCARY PROJECT TO US AND ONE WE HAD WAITED A LONG TIME TO ACT ON. WE WANTED, IN ADDITION TO PROFESSIONAL WORKMANSHIP, A COMPANY THAT WOULD BE OUR ADVOCATE IN THE PROCESS, AND NOT AN ENEMY, AND THIS IS WHAT WE FEEL WE GOT. THE BASEMENT IS BEING HAPPILY ENJOYED EVERYDAY. WE HAVE HAD THE IMPRESSION THROUGHOUT THE PROCESS THAT JUST BASEMENTS IS VERY MUCH IN THE BUSINESS OF EARNING YOUR RESPECT, AND IT HAS CERTAINLY EARNED OURS.

EVERYONE THAT THEY SUB-CONTRACTED WITH WAS GREAT. EVERYONE WAS PROFESSIONAL AND PUNCTUAL. THEY STARTED QUICKLY AFTER WE SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND WERE DONE ON TIME. THERE WAS ALWAYS SOMEONE WE COULD CONTACT IN THE OFFICE, IF WE HAD A QUESTION OR CONCERN. WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE FINISHING A LOWER LEVEL. WE FELT VERY COMFORTABLE WITH THEM IN OUR HOME, WITH THREE KIDS AND A DOG. JOB WELL DONE! WE LOVE OUR NEW SPACE.

Description of Work: JUST BASEMENTS MADE A COMPUTER DIAGRAM OF OUR BASEMENT AND MADE SUGGESTIONS ON THE AREA WE WANTED TO FINISH. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! THEY WERE AMAZING WITH THE AMOUNT OF COMMUNICATION THEY GAVE US AND WERE ON THE JOB OR IN CONTACT WITH US EVERY DAY. THEY FRAMED, DRY WALLED AND FINISHED THE BASEMENT. THEY ALSO DID ALL OF THE ELECTRICAL WORK AND ARRANGED FOR ALL OF THE CITY INSPECTIONS. THE PROJECT MANAGER FOR OUR HOUSE WAS VERY WELL ORGANIZED. HE KNEW WHAT WOULD TAKE PLACE EVERY DAY AND HE CONTACTED US IF THERE WAS ANY CHANGE TO THE PLAN. THE COMPANY ALSO SENT US A TIMELINE AND CALLED SEVERAL TIMES TO MAKE SURE WE WERE HAPPY WITH THE PROGRESS OF THE JOB. WE WERE THRILLED WITH THE FINISHED PROJECT! WE HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS COMPANY TO ALL OF OUR FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS.
