Cody was excellent. Very nice and professional. He showed me what needed to be done every springtime to make sure the air conditioner would work. It was Running at a high PSI and that's why it was not running till the outside temp was cooler. The coil and the all around the side were plugged up. He said if there is trouble with the thermostat to call him and he will come replace it. He even texted me to ask if he could come over and if it was convenient. Most of the contractors I have used did not follow through on that. We have dogs we have to put away before ANYONE steps on the porch. Cody needs a raise! This was an awesome experience!!! I will be using this company again. Thanks Cody!!

If I could leave no stars, I would so they get one. I have had a heating repair open for 3 weeks and I got a notification that my work order was closed. Their "reason" was they could not get a hold of me after calling multiple times and leaving voice-mails. I got one cal, no voice-mail and I was working so did not answer the call. The customer service representative that I spoke with on 2/10/22 hung up on me when I inquired into this. Aside from this interaction, their response times are EXTREMELY slow, be prepared to wait at least a month before your problem is fixed, if they even fix it. I will NEVER reccomend this company and I hope i can save you time and money by encouraging you to not use it either.

I had called for an hsa repair for a room in my house that is not getting any heat. My first apt was rescheduled because of roads that weren’t even bad and then when they came they spent about 5-10 mins guessing at the issue and wrote up a detailed report of my hvac that they didn’t even look at (except what they could see). They even said they would have to go into the crawl space to check it out. It seems like they just didn’t want to to the job. I spoke with the manager and she just said sorry but there was nothing they could do. My advice is to stay away from this company.

Rob, the technician, was fantastic. He was cheerful and courteous. More to the point he got our heat back on. The blower motor still needs changed out, but he ordered it immediately and sent follow up texts confirming what he did, what he checked, and what was ordered. Great service.

Our furnace squealed and blew cold air. it was 20 degrees at the time and we had to shut it off.

Fast response was sent to my home by my home warranty company. Be very careful with these guys. Do research ahead of time, ask questions at every step, watch them do the work, and don't let them "check" other parts of the system. Also, tell them upfront not to do any work that has not been approved. When Chris came for the initial appointment he changed the capacitor then suggested we check coolant levels. He rushed back to his car and was filling my system right away. Only AFTER he'd added 2.5lbs did he inform me it would be $85 per pound (eventually paid $50 per pound after I went with another vendor). This set off my "scam" radar and I told him I was not going to pay for things I never approved. He argued at length, including a joke about "not being able to take me" so e couldn't make me pay! For the next few visits, no one ever asked for coolant payment and I discovered it is COVERED by my warranty. So, a blown capacitor repair led to the technician checking my refrigerant level. After that, we had a leak for months leaving us with a unit that would freeze and flood the basement. After 5 or 6 visits to refill, they told me I needed to replace an expensive component which would be charged to the warranty. After they ripped it out, i was informed the repair would include $500 of uncovered repairs, but of course it was too late. I did paid out of pocket to have the repairs completed. I never agreed verbally (or otherwise) to the non-covered charges. We found out about the non-covered costs AFTER our previous coil was ripped out. We asked that the evaporator coil NOT be installed because I wanted to discuss the issue with the warranty company. When the technician arrived anyway, HE TOLD MY WIFE THE REPAIR WAS COVERED. She assumed Fast Response worked with the warranty company. After installation he "discovered" it was indeed not covered and asked for payment before completing the repairs. This was similar to the initial visit. Do the work without informing me there would be cost, then charge whatever they want. This is incredibly dishonest and you can't expect people to pay because you've lied to them about whether or not they would have to pay. I was 100% done with Fast Response once we were informed there would be $500 in charges after our coil was removed (damaging it in the process). Our plan was to find another vendor to install the a new coil because I don't work with scam artists. After we told their office not to send someone they showed up telling us we would not have to pay. Fast response techs saw the flooding each time they were in the basement. I discussed it with both technicians. It was a symptom of the leak that developed after the first time coolant was checked by Fast Response. I had never had any flooding in the first half of the summer, only after Fast Response started working on my system.

They came in and did something. When they left, the heater caught on fire because the guy did the coil wrong. Then I had to fight with them to get them to come back out. I have a home warranty so I only paid the service call of $100. After they did what they did, I had to pay $375 to replace the fried panel in the electric box. I don't know what the real fee would be for repairs.

Fast Response provided the best service that we have received from any home repair contractor. Indeed, we were at the point of filing legal action against the first vendor that our home warranty company dispatched to our home to repair our AC unit, who failed to do after 3 weeks and actually damaged a second AC unit. After 3 weeks of failing to repair, our home warranty company dispatched Fast Response. Fast Response arrived almost immediately and "Chris" diagnosed the situation. Fast Response/Chris made the initial repairs to get through the Fourth of July weekend which was sweltering, and offered several key solutions. To our welcome surprise, Fast Response/"Rob" visited on the Sunday of Fourth of July weekend to begin prep work for installation of a new unit on Monday. On Monday, Fast Response arrived first thing in the morning and installed the new unit. Fast Response was the most professional and knowledgeable contractor that we have had at our home. They explained the situation in understandable terms and priced services and supplies quite reasonably. Fast Response arrived in uniform, with presentable vehicles, and had state of the art technology to get the job done right. Simply, Fast Response is best in class.

In the first house Fast Response gave a very good price estimate to replace the control board on the HVAC system. It was cold outside, in the 30's/40's at night and the house had two small children in it. I let them know how important it was to keep the family warm. They indicated that the board would be picked up the next day and installed. After many many calls they finally scheduled time to come out...and then didnt show up at all. I called again the following day and only then did they show up and make the repair. Over a week without heat because they were not responding. In the second house, I was also set up w/Fast Response for an HVAC repair. They scheduled an appointment between noon and 4. No show, no call, no update. I contacted the office at about 4:15 and was told the guy would be right over from current job. Finally got a call from him some time closer to 6:00 and couldn't wait any longer. Rescheduled for the next day....but then I had someone else do the repair. I spoke w/the "new" service manager who apologized for the issue and indicated that they were working on things. This is such a disappointment.,,,I had used them in the past with much better response.

I do NOT endorse the company - nor (as I found out after I scheduled) are they BBB certified - however, my experience was great
Description of Work
I needed some basic education about our furnace (first time owning a home with a heat pump) as well as advice regarding AC freezing in the summer. Stumbled across a HVAC company I've never heard of but found out they've got a special now that's only $15 for a service (trip) charge. So I thought what the heck. Guy came out - re-educated me on limitations and requirements for someone owning a heat pump. After talking with him I feel pretty confident any issues we've experienced, since purchasing this home, have been addressed. Mostly it was just education on my part. So the girl on the phone told me the $15 included an hour of technician's time to troubleshoot/etc. The technician that arrived was under the impression it was JUST for the trip charge. So that said, if you were to call them I'd ask specifically what you get for the $15. I got what I needed - which was mostly just conversation/education/advise.

ON AUGUST 13, I CONTACTED MY HOME WARRANTY BECAUSE I HAD WATER leaking from my furence. My warranty referred me to Fast Response Heating and Cooling. The tech came to my house and disconnected the pipe line that was leaking and placed a pan underneath it and requested for a plumber to repair. He took the trader fee and would not repair it.meanwhile, I had water leaking onto my carpet in the basement. The trick was able to see where the leaking water was heading. My family was not able to catch the amount of water that was leaking. A plumber came and said that the Fast Response Heating and Cooling should have repaired.my home warranty and I keep calling Fast Response to request for this company to complete the job that they have been paid for. Becky keep stating that they had not received the work order but she stated it we would take 2days to come to my home for repair the leak after they receive the work order. Fast response requested for the home warranty to send an urgent work order request. My home warranty sent it. Becky called and said that someone would be at my house from8-12 on Thursday, August 18 (almost a week later). They never showed. I called and they said that they decided not to come to repair the pipe. It was their tech who disconnected the pipe and caused more leakage. ON August 20, I finally found a HVAC company to repair. It the new company only 15mins to repair it. The pipe needed a cap. I asked for Fast Response manager and Becky keep stating that she was on medical leave. The company's BBB membership was reviled. The company has a F rating.

First of all, everything I am about to say has happened with this same company before, meaning this is not the first time I have had these issues. The very first time I had to deal with them was in September of 2014 and the outcome was basically exactly the same as what happened yesterday. After realizing that my AC was not cooling our house at all on Wednesday, May 6th, 2014, I was told in the early morning that Fast Response would be out that day to diagnose and attempt to fix the issue. I was informed that I would receive a 30 min phone call notice when they were on their way. As of 4 pm yesterday and me sitting around waiting for that phone call (opposed to being at work) I decided to call Fast Response and ask what was going on. I spoke with the lady that answered the phone (pretty sure it was the owner) and she told me they would in fact still be coming out. I explained to her that I have a 2 year old son that had 2 open heart surgeries in the past year, most recently a few months ago, and it was absolutely necessary that someone come take care of the issue today. She once again confirmed that yes, they would be calling me shortly with an idea of when I can expect them that evening. That call never came so I ended up calling them back around 7 pm, only to get a VM greeting. At this point I was furious and I left a very angry message. The same lady actually had to audacity to call me back this morning and leave me a VM simply saying that they have me on the schedule and would be out to my home this coming Tuesday, May 12th, at the very earliest. That is 5 days from now, never what was agreed upon initially, and the most absurd thing I have ever heard. Trust me when I tell you, this company is horrible, they do terrible work (based on what was done last Sept), they are extremely unprofessional, and their name (Fast Response) is a complete and blatant lie. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING!!!

When the tech was rerouted due to a road closure on his way to me, he called BEFORE his promised time to let me know why he'd be late. Once onsite, he explained everything he was doing and why. He was considerate of my time, my home. He didn't have the part I needed, so he ordered it and arranged for it to be express-shipped to be installed the next day, Saturday, so I would have heat over the weekend. This company has earned a top-rating with me, and even though I didn't find them through Angie's List, I want other Angie's List members that might be looking for HVAC assistance to know that Fast Response is a good call!!

I was very impressed by the companies prompt service. I found myself on a Saturday evening without a working AC and I had 50 people coming to my house on Sunday. The owner came out Sunday morning and had my AC up and running before the first guest even arrived! Certainly a life saver given how hot it is! I thought they were reasonable priced and highly professional. I would highly recommend!!!

Fantastic! Fast response really honored there name...... FAST RESPONSE! I called and spoke with Jody in the office and she was really kind and understanding and had me placed on one of the technicians route that day. I opted to have the company give me a 30 minute notice via text and which i received when the tech was in route. The company sent out Rob who.. i must admit had me skeptical because of how young he looked, but he was extremely well mannered, uniformed and professional. Robert quickly diagnosed the problem and even tried to oil the motor in order to save me money. Rob had the motor in his van and had me cooling in just under 45 minutes! I recommended this company to everyone i work with and all of my family. I wont think about using anyone else

First off the Citywide repairmen were always late. When they did arrive they seemed like they were annoyed at being called to do their job. The first time I needed work on my A/C unit it was summer and it wasn't putting out cold air at all. I called the home warranty people (we had a home warranty at the time, so we only had to pay the service call charge) and they sent out Citywide. They got it working again but it was only putting out cool air not cold air. The repairman said it would eventually cool off the house and that it needed time to work. (Yes, I fell for his lame explanation). The house did not cool off. The A/C unit was working day and night trying to reach a temperature it could never reach because it wasn't putting out the cold air needed. Citywide was called out again but could not get to us for 3 days (my utility bill was through the roof). When they did, the repairman said there was nothing wrong with the unit and there was nothing he could do. I called the home warranty people again and demanded someone else but they insisted on Citywide. They were called out again and after another 3 days they showed up. The repairman eventually found the problem. Both the cooling and heating was working at the same time so the unit was working twice as hard doing nothing. He "fixed" the problem and we had cold air. Fast forward to the winter and the unit was not putting out hot air. Again we called the warranty people and Citywide came out (yes, after 3 days). The repairman found the "problem". He said that someone had disconnected the heat and asked who worked on it before. I told him that it was his company that worked on it and it only response was "Oh". I called back the warranty people and told them what was happening and said that when the summer came we would not have cold air from the A/C unit. Sure enough, when the weather got warmer we had no cold air. I had enough, I called someone else and when they came out they opened the unit. They said that they never saw such a mess with the wiring, the repairman said it looked like spaghetti. I will never use Citywide ever again. AVOID CITYWIDE HEATING AND COOLING LIKE THE PLAGUE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

The tech arrrived on time and immediately went to work on the furnace. He pulled out the flame sensor and cleaned it, but then he used a plastic tie to hold it in place. I felt this was a little shady, and qualified as trying to just "rig" it, but what do I know. I am always weary of the work done by contractors sent out by American Home Shield because, as I was told by a contractor, it is understood that they must do the least amount of work possible to keep the cost to the home warranty company down. Anyway, the furnace worked...for two days...then it stopped igniting once again. So, I called the warranty company and they told me that it had to recall Fast Repsonse to come out and try and fix it again. Fast Response called me the next morning to set up a time, but due to my job I am unable to immediately answer calls. Fast Response left a message stating that they would be out the next day between 8AM and noon. I returned the call less than a half an hour later, but they did not answer and I went to voicemail. I left a long message explaining the problem and that I would not be available during that time due to my job and that I would like to reschedule. No one from the company called back, so I called again, three hours later, and received no answer and I went back into voicemail. No one from the company called back, so I again called back three hours later...again, voicemail! I left a message, again, telling them that I would not be available the next day and to please call me to reschedule. No response. The next day, at work, I received a call at 9AM from the tech advsing me that he would be at my house in 20 minutes. This time I was able to call Fast Response almost immediatley after the tech called me, and using a number provided by the tech this time, someone actually answered the phone. The woman who answered was one of the rudest and least professional people I have dealt with in a while. She couldn't care less about the fact that nobody called me back, that the tech didn't fix it the first time or that I had a job which prevented me from just sitting around around waiting for them to show up (by the way, the window she gave me to reschedule was anytime from 8AM until 5PM -- what person, with a job, can sit around for 9 hours just waiting). She was rude (didn't even have the professionalism to take me off of speaker phone), argumentative and lacking any willingness to try and help her customer. She never even attempted to apologize for the fact that her tech didn't fix the problem or acknowledge the fact that my furnance wasn't working and that it was 20 degrees outside. This company is a waste of your time and effort and should not be used. Unfortunately, American Home Shield has contracted with them, so if you need to go through AHS, demand that they do not assign Fast Response. Look at the other reviews, this company doesn't care about their customers and has no sense of customer service, let alone the fact that they didn't fix the problem. Update: I called another repair company and its service person was just here...the furnace was shorting out due to a crack in the ignition system. Fast Response completely missed it and its service person did try to rig the repair.

The original tech that came out to my house did fine. The guy that answers their phone is the problem. Called First Response and at first was upset that they reported it as my issue. The technician told me he had to take pictures and file an honest report and said they could fix it for around $370 (can't remember the exact amount). I apologized to him for being upset and asked him what I got for $370. He said it's usually 3x the amount but because I was an AHS customer that is all it would cost me. I told him twice on the phone that I wanted him to do it. He said he'd let me know when. Called 5 days later and he answered the phone and I asked for status. He put me on hold then hung up and left. Called back immediately to find out he had left for the day and never put in the order. Found out the cost was over $1400 and the person I was talking to was very rude to me. This is not a company that is honest or values service

The company was a referral from my homeguard - American Home Shield. They contacted me immediately after receiving the dispatch on 5/3/10. They contacted me again on 5/4/10 and gave me a 45 minute timeframe to get home for the service. The two service men were nice, humorous and efficient. The one tracked some mud in the foyer and offered to mop it up (wasn't a concern and I did it). He suggested regular maintenance on the AC unit as it was older and gave me their prices for yearly maintenance. He offered to have a brochure (at my request) mailed to me along w/my invoice/receipt for payment.

Josh arrived on a Saturday afternoon. He went to our basement with my husband. Shortly thereafter they came upstairs. Josh said his Carbon Monoxide indicator was up to a 9 when he shut it off. He said that level was very high and said the furnaces are suppose to be turned off at 8. Josh stated that with the high CO and the problem we were describing the furnace needed replaced. He wrote a quote for approximately $2700. I asked Josh if he felt I should get a second opinion as I have never had issues with the furnace before and I didn't really know anything about furnaces. He became a bit defensive and said his detector was a $300 piece of equipment and it was detecting high levels of CO. He stated this was the 3rd service trip that day with the same issue and the furnace needed replaced. I said ok and signed the quote for installation the next day. I also want to point out our Carbon Monoxide monitor never went off. Neither my husband nor I were comfortable with our discussion with Josh and called another heating and A/C company who came right over. The gentleman, Dennis, checked for CO and basically said he got a 2 as the highest rating inside the furnace and that was when he was trying to find something. He checked the registers throughout the house, which Fast Response didn't, and detected a rating of 1 in a couple. He cleaned a contact and said cleaning the contact should be enough to fix the problem with the furnace shutting down. Dennis said the furnace was 13 years old and we should start looking at replacing it next year. I was taught an invaluable lesson - always get a second maybe even a third opinion. I felt Josh was trying to sell a furnace. He didn't look at any other issues. I hope he gets his monitor fixed.

He came later than we had expected but said they had been very busy. He diagnosed the problem as the system being low in coolant and added some. This did solve the problem we had been experiencing. However he mentioned that some caps were missing and asked if someone had ever done maintenance on the system. I said someone had been out just two months prior. He said he felt they had not done a good job and explained why he felt this was the case. He then noted that our system was quite old and wondered if we were thinking of replacing it. He spoke about a couple of brands and said to call him if we wanted to replace it. After he left I looked up both Fast Response and the previous company. Fast response had few reports and were all F's, the other had over 150 reports and got straight As. If we have to go through our home warranty again, we might have to deal with Fast Response again, but otherwise I would be unlikely to hire them again.
Description of Work
We were referred to Fast Response by our home warranty company. Our air conditioner kept cutting off for several hours, seemingly due to a switch that kept icing up. He came and added some coolant to the system which seemed to take care of the problem. $55.00 is the price set by the home warranty company for a service call.

The owner doesn't stand behind his warranty. We had a carbon monoxide leak because of their poor installation. They wouldn't come out to fix it so eventually I had to have the manufacturer come back out to fix it. They didn't cover one of the parts under warranty and charged me $1,000 to get it fixed. When I pointed this out to them they told me they would give half back and then give me a credit for the rest. However, I won't use them again in the future.

I called Fast Response and the owner said prove it. He yelled several times and said their contract covers against issues. He said I was trying to make money off of them.
Description of Work
On August 10, Fast Response Heating and Cooling, came to our home to move our condenser unit to the side of our home. The following Sunday morning, the air conditioner stopped. On Monday August 13, they concluded that we needed a new compressor in addition to a new coil. He also said Hey, I can have a new Goodman Unit in for you tonight! Another company pointed out several issues: Service door was left on the ground near the condenser unit. Pad under unit was never moved with unit. Condenser unit was placed at an angle on the mulch with no pad underneath. Unit was left two inches from the sump pump release valve. Unit was less than 10 inches from the home. We could actually hear the king valve leaking Freon. This was so loose that it could be removed by touching and twisting it with his fingers. Oily film all around the king valve due to refrigerant leaking. Refrigerant tubing was not flush with the house. Out six inches from home.

In the Fall for the first appointment they were a no show. I had a supervisor call me. He came out the next day and performed the check at no charge (I thought "things happen" and they seemed pretty good). Now comes the Spring and I called to have my A/C checked and made an appointment. AGAIN they were a no show. I called and I got a story about how their computers went down. They promised that a tech would be at my home between 9-11 AM. I got a call at 10 AM stating that they were busy and would not be able to make it. Furthermore, I have called on 3 occasions to bring this to the attention of a supervisor or manager and no one is ever available.
