I scheduled my annual HVAC winter maintenance through American Home Shield (AHS), and Fast Response Service was assigned. Upon arrival, the technician informed me that only one of my two units was scheduled for service, despite my request for both. He advised that I would need to book a separate appointment for the second unit. During the visit, the technician inspected the second unit, which was not part of the scheduled service, and claimed it had a serious issue with the heat exchanger. He conducted a carbon monoxide (CO) test, where the alarm triggered when placed on a table but did not show a reading directly at the vents. Later that night, my tenant reported no heat. Upon inspection, I found that the second furnace had been turned off—both the power and pilot light—without any notice. The next morning, a different HVAC company was dispatched and immediately identified that multiple wires and sensors had been unplugged inside the furnace, preventing it from functioning. This second technician confirmed that there were no issues with the heat exchanger and that CO levels were normal. I also received an email from Fast Response Service recommending a full system replacement based on their diagnosis. Given these findings, I would not use this service provider again. If AHS assigns them, I would recommend requesting a different company.

Worst experience ever , I have to reschedule 3 times a week from no call no shows . I already paid the money to get the compressor replaced which my ac been down for two months and they still haven’t completed the tasks. Very unreliable and unprofessional. There standard for taking care of there customers are very low and they are ok with that . It’s 90 degrees in my house daily and they are still giving me no call no shows when they say I am scheduled. I do not consider this company .

I would highly not recommend this company. The owner Rob never finish paying me for a job when he said he would pay me. He stated saying on Friday that he sent a request into the office to send payment. Next day Saturday he said he sent another request to the office to send me money. Never got anything he said the offices are closed on Saturday. While online it states his offices are open 24hrs. Monday comes and he doesn't answer my calls or texts. This dude is snake and I'm sure he hangs out with other snakes. Big Fat Liar is Mr Rob.

Cody was excellent. Very nice and professional. He showed me what needed to be done every springtime to make sure the air conditioner would work. It was Running at a high PSI and that's why it was not running till the outside temp was cooler. The coil and the all around the side were plugged up. He said if there is trouble with the thermostat to call him and he will come replace it. He even texted me to ask if he could come over and if it was convenient. Most of the contractors I have used did not follow through on that. We have dogs we have to put away before ANYONE steps on the porch. Cody needs a raise! This was an awesome experience!!! I will be using this company again. Thanks Cody!!

If I could leave no stars, I would so they get one. I have had a heating repair open for 3 weeks and I got a notification that my work order was closed. Their "reason" was they could not get a hold of me after calling multiple times and leaving voice-mails. I got one cal, no voice-mail and I was working so did not answer the call. The customer service representative that I spoke with on 2/10/22 hung up on me when I inquired into this. Aside from this interaction, their response times are EXTREMELY slow, be prepared to wait at least a month before your problem is fixed, if they even fix it. I will NEVER reccomend this company and I hope i can save you time and money by encouraging you to not use it either.

Slow and did not solve the issue. We went with another company to replace the whole system.

I had called for an hsa repair for a room in my house that is not getting any heat. My first apt was rescheduled because of roads that weren’t even bad and then when they came they spent about 5-10 mins guessing at the issue and wrote up a detailed report of my hvac that they didn’t even look at (except what they could see). They even said they would have to go into the crawl space to check it out. It seems like they just didn’t want to to the job. I spoke with the manager and she just said sorry but there was nothing they could do. My advice is to stay away from this company.

Rob, the technician, was fantastic. He was cheerful and courteous. More to the point he got our heat back on. The blower motor still needs changed out, but he ordered it immediately and sent follow up texts confirming what he did, what he checked, and what was ordered. Great service.

Fast response was sent to my home by my home warranty company. Be very careful with these guys. Do research ahead of time, ask questions at every step, watch them do the work, and don't let them "check" other parts of the system. Also, tell them upfront not to do any work that has not been approved. When Chris came for the initial appointment he changed the capacitor then suggested we check coolant levels. He rushed back to his car and was filling my system right away. Only AFTER he'd added 2.5lbs did he inform me it would be $85 per pound (eventually paid $50 per pound after I went with another vendor). This set off my "scam" radar and I told him I was not going to pay for things I never approved. He argued at length, including a joke about "not being able to take me" so e couldn't make me pay! For the next few visits, no one ever asked for coolant payment and I discovered it is COVERED by my warranty. So, a blown capacitor repair led to the technician checking my refrigerant level. After that, we had a leak for months leaving us with a unit that would freeze and flood the basement. After 5 or 6 visits to refill, they told me I needed to replace an expensive component which would be charged to the warranty. After they ripped it out, i was informed the repair would include $500 of uncovered repairs, but of course it was too late. I did paid out of pocket to have the repairs completed. I never agreed verbally (or otherwise) to the non-covered charges. We found out about the non-covered costs AFTER our previous coil was ripped out. We asked that the evaporator coil NOT be installed because I wanted to discuss the issue with the warranty company. When the technician arrived anyway, HE TOLD MY WIFE THE REPAIR WAS COVERED. She assumed Fast Response worked with the warranty company. After installation he "discovered" it was indeed not covered and asked for payment before completing the repairs. This was similar to the initial visit. Do the work without informing me there would be cost, then charge whatever they want. This is incredibly dishonest and you can't expect people to pay because you've lied to them about whether or not they would have to pay. I was 100% done with Fast Response once we were informed there would be $500 in charges after our coil was removed (damaging it in the process). Our plan was to find another vendor to install the a new coil because I don't work with scam artists. After we told their office not to send someone they showed up telling us we would not have to pay. Fast response techs saw the flooding each time they were in the basement. I discussed it with both technicians. It was a symptom of the leak that developed after the first time coolant was checked by Fast Response. I had never had any flooding in the first half of the summer, only after Fast Response started working on my system.

They came in and did something. When they left, the heater caught on fire because the guy did the coil wrong. Then I had to fight with them to get them to come back out. I have a home warranty so I only paid the service call of $100. After they did what they did, I had to pay $375 to replace the fried panel in the electric box. I don't know what the real fee would be for repairs.

Fast Response provided the best service that we have received from any home repair contractor. Indeed, we were at the point of filing legal action against the first vendor that our home warranty company dispatched to our home to repair our AC unit, who failed to do after 3 weeks and actually damaged a second AC unit. After 3 weeks of failing to repair, our home warranty company dispatched Fast Response. Fast Response arrived almost immediately and "Chris" diagnosed the situation. Fast Response/Chris made the initial repairs to get through the Fourth of July weekend which was sweltering, and offered several key solutions. To our welcome surprise, Fast Response/"Rob" visited on the Sunday of Fourth of July weekend to begin prep work for installation of a new unit on Monday. On Monday, Fast Response arrived first thing in the morning and installed the new unit. Fast Response was the most professional and knowledgeable contractor that we have had at our home. They explained the situation in understandable terms and priced services and supplies quite reasonably. Fast Response arrived in uniform, with presentable vehicles, and had state of the art technology to get the job done right. Simply, Fast Response is best in class.

In the first house Fast Response gave a very good price estimate to replace the control board on the HVAC system. It was cold outside, in the 30's/40's at night and the house had two small children in it. I let them know how important it was to keep the family warm. They indicated that the board would be picked up the next day and installed. After many many calls they finally scheduled time to come out...and then didnt show up at all. I called again the following day and only then did they show up and make the repair. Over a week without heat because they were not responding. In the second house, I was also set up w/Fast Response for an HVAC repair. They scheduled an appointment between noon and 4. No show, no call, no update. I contacted the office at about 4:15 and was told the guy would be right over from current job. Finally got a call from him some time closer to 6:00 and couldn't wait any longer. Rescheduled for the next day....but then I had someone else do the repair. I spoke w/the "new" service manager who apologized for the issue and indicated that they were working on things. This is such a disappointment.,,,I had used them in the past with much better response.

When the tech was rerouted due to a road closure on his way to me, he called BEFORE his promised time to let me know why he'd be late.  Once onsite, he explained everything he was doing and why.  He was considerate of my time, my home.  He didn't have the part I needed, so he ordered it and arranged for it to be express-shipped to be installed the next day, Saturday, so I would have heat over the weekend.  This   company has earned a top-rating with me, and even though I didn't find them through Angie's List, I want other Angie's List members that might be looking for HVAC assistance to know that Fast Response is a good call!!

I was very impressed by the companies prompt service. I found myself on a Saturday evening without a working AC and I had 50 people coming to my house on Sunday. The owner came out Sunday morning and had my AC up and running before the first guest even arrived! Certainly a life saver given how hot it is! I thought they were reasonable priced and highly professional. I would highly recommend!!!

Fantastic! Fast response really honored there name...... FAST RESPONSE! I called and spoke with Jody in the office and she was really kind and understanding and had me placed on one of the technicians route that day. I opted to have the company give me a 30 minute notice via text and which i received when the tech was in route. The company sent out Rob who.. i must admit had me skeptical because of how young he looked, but he was extremely well mannered, uniformed and professional. Robert quickly diagnosed the problem and even tried to oil the motor in order to save me money. Rob had the motor in his van and had me cooling in just under 45 minutes! I recommended this company to everyone i work with and all of my family. I wont think about using anyone else

First off the Citywide repairmen were always late. When they did arrive they seemed like they were annoyed at being called to do their job. The first time I needed work on my A/C unit it was summer and it wasn't putting out cold air at all.  I called the home warranty people (we had a home warranty at the time, so we only had to pay the service call charge) and they sent out Citywide.  They got it working again but it was only putting out cool air not cold air.  The repairman said it would eventually cool off the house and that it needed time to work.  (Yes, I fell for his lame explanation).

The house did not cool off.  The A/C unit was working day and night trying to reach a temperature it could never reach because it wasn't putting out the cold air needed.  Citywide was called out again but could not get to us for 3 days (my utility bill was through the roof).   When they did, the repairman said there was nothing wrong with the unit and there was nothing he could do.  I called the home warranty people again and demanded someone else but they insisted on Citywide.  They were called out again and after another 3 days they showed up.  The repairman eventually found the problem.  Both the cooling and heating was working at the same time so the unit was working twice as hard doing nothing.  He "fixed" the problem and we had cold air.

Fast forward to the winter and the unit was not putting out hot air.  Again we called the warranty people and Citywide came out (yes, after 3 days).  The repairman found the "problem".  He said that someone had disconnected the heat and asked who worked on it before.  I told him that it was his company that worked on it and it only response was "Oh".

I called back the warranty people and told them what was happening and said that when the summer came we would not have cold air from the A/C unit.  Sure enough, when the weather got warmer we had no cold air.  I had enough, I called someone else and when they came out they opened the unit.  They said that they never saw such a mess with the wiring, the repairman said it looked like spaghetti.  I will never use Citywide ever again.

AVOID CITYWIDE HEATING AND COOLING LIKE THE PLAGUE.  YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

The original tech that came out to my house did fine. The guy that answers their phone is the problem. Called First Response and at first was upset that they reported it as my issue. The technician told me he had to take pictures and file an honest report and said they could fix it for around $370 (can't remember the exact amount). I apologized to him for being upset and asked him what I got for $370. He said it's usually 3x the amount but because I was an AHS customer that is all it would cost me. I told him twice on the phone that I wanted him to do it. He said he'd let me know when. Called 5 days later and he answered the phone and I asked for status. He put me on hold then hung up and left. Called back immediately to find out he had left for the day and never put in the order. Found out the cost was over $1400 and the person I was talking to was very rude to me. This is not a company that is honest or values service

The company was a referral from my homeguard - American Home Shield. They contacted me immediately after receiving the dispatch on 5/3/10. They contacted me again on 5/4/10 and gave me a 45 minute timeframe to get home for the service. The two service men were nice, humorous and efficient. The one tracked some mud in the foyer and offered to mop it up (wasn't a concern and I did it). He suggested regular maintenance on the AC unit as it was older and gave me their prices for yearly maintenance. He offered to have a brochure (at my request) mailed to me along w/my invoice/receipt for payment.

The experience was fine. They came out promptly, told me what I needed and did what they said they were going to do. Part of the cost was covered by my home warranty. It was seamless, I just paid them the difference.

He came later than we had expected but said they had been very busy. He diagnosed the problem as the system being low in coolant and added some. This did solve the problem we had been experiencing. However he mentioned that some caps were missing and asked if someone had ever done maintenance on the system. I said someone had been out just two months prior. He said he felt they had not done a good job and explained why he felt this was the case. He then noted that our system was quite old and wondered if we were thinking of replacing it. He spoke about a couple of brands and said to call him if we wanted to replace it. After he left I looked up both Fast Response and the previous company. Fast response had few reports and were all F's, the other had over 150 reports and got straight As. If we have to go through our home warranty again, we might have to deal with Fast Response again, but otherwise I would be unlikely to hire them again.
