Sue and Stu were very helpful and professional as well as understanding when changes were made. The estimate was pretty much right on. We had added a few additional repair items after the fact. I can't believe how much different a room can look with a wonderful paint job. I would highly recommend these folks!
Description of Work: Interior painting of hallway from garage into entire Kitchen and Great Room areas. Areas consist of 9' ceilings up to approximately a 20' entryway partial wall that had to be painted as well. Two accent walls, kitchen pantry and several settling crack drywall repairs were completed throughout. Additionally, they painted our Master bathroom and caulked around the tub and sinks. ALL looks wonderful!!!!

The project was completed in two days versus the estimated three days and at a lesser cost than the original estimate. Painters took care in covering carpeting and woodwork throughout the work area and hanging plastic between rooms to try and minimize dust from wall patching and sanding. Lots of dust resulted from the sanding, but the painters did try to clean up after themselves upon project completion. We're happy with the new paint color and the quality work performed by this company.

Working with Sue Koble, her assistant Steve and exterior painter, Andrew was an outstanding experience. Sue's dedication to excellence in every detail, married to her innate sense of color can't be beat! It was a pleasure having the crew in our house. They are delightful to work with in every way,and I always felt perfectly at ease leaving our house and dog in their capable hands. Having someone working in the kitchen can be difficult as it is so central to everything going on in the house (particularly right before Thanksgiving), but Sue and Steve were always accommodating. Sue pushed my color limits with her wall color suggestion, and she was spot on! We love our kitchen and its beautiful artistic cabinets. We would hire them again in a minute and won't hesitate to give them the highest recommendation!

We knew that we needed to have several pieces of our outside trim either replaced or repaired before we had the exterior painted. Stu and his crew knew exactly how to repair these areas. They used quality materials and were very diligent in their work. Once the repairs were made they painted the exterior of the house. They were very detailed and didn not skimp in any way, even on the back. They took off all of our hardware on the door and even spray painted them to give it a new look. On part of our chimney that needed repaired they discovered that they were some ants in the wood and sprayed them before they replaced the new wood. They cleaned up very well, even blowing the leaves off our deck and patio. We ended up getting more work than we anticipated, but never felt pressured or that we were being taken advantage of. Stu worked with us to give us the most information on what needed to be done and to give us the best price. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again.
Description of Work: In addition to needing the exterior of our house painted, we had several areas of our trim that needed repaired or replaced because of water damage. Stu and his crew were very knowledgeable about how to take care of these problems.

Could not be more pleased with the finished job. Professional and courteous. They worked around our schedule to complete the job. We bought our own paint, next time I would take their recommendation for paint (even though it looks amazing!).
Description of Work: The four person crew painted our entire finished basement. This included caulking the floor seams (before our carpet was laid) and we purchased white wood blinds for our 3 basement windows (which fit perfectly and added just the right touch at the right price).

Very punctual and professional. The best workers I've ever seen. Used this company to do interior work. Loved the interior job too! They fixed areas on the exterior that needed repaired and didn't add the cost in. Would continue to use this company for future jobs. Very meticulous but I like that. You know you are getting a job well done with Creative Touch Painting.

It was a 2 day project that included the living room, foyer, 2 hallways, stairway, a common wall connecting the kitchen to the family room, 4 interior doors, 2 exterior doors and sidelights. After I removed wallpaper, Sue and Steve washed down all the walls. They spackled most of the nicks and dings in the walls, masked off the woodwork, caulked and did two coats of paint on all. Sue conditioned the woodwork in those areas. They even spackled two holes in walls they weren't painting. On the initial appt. Sue brought paint swatches for all the major paint brands and I was able to pick out a color conveniently at home. I had gotten estimates from 3 other contractors and none of them brought color samples. I appreciate the fact that Sue saved me the time and effort of going to various paint stores. Sue and Steve were very friendly, polite, professional and pleasant to work with. I stayed at home for the first day of the project, but had no reservations about giving my house key to Sue on the second day. They did an excellant job and I WILL have them do work for me again.

Excellent job performed by Sue and Steve, Loved their work ethic as well as their professionalism. They did an excellent job and I had them come back to do another paint job. I had them remove wallpaper from two bathrooms and paint both bathrooms. Hired them again to do the same to my master bedroom. My husband hired her husband to do exterior work on another property we have. That job will be started next week pending good weather is here.

It was great! They were exceedingly careful, covering our new wood floors and working very carefully around carpets, and insisted that everything had to look great. They redid walls that the carpenter had left uneven, removed all hardware and numbered kitchen cabinet doors to be sure everything went back in the correct place. They cleaned up daily, and cleaned everything thoroughly when the job was done. Painting stained woodwork is challenging, because many gaps at the seams aren't visible with wood finish but jump out when painted. They made sure everything looked finished, even sanding and repainting one section of crown molding about 5 times. Although it's hard to estimate such a large job, and some things got added or more complicated along the way (like painting two bedrooms one color low, another color high), the job came in as estimated almost to the dollar. They did excellent work, were highly professional, and are great people--a major consideration when tradespeople are working in your home for 6 weeks. Although glad to have the house painted, we were also sad to see them go. We'll definitely call them for anything we need done in the future. Sue Kobel also does blinds, so we'll see them soon when our blinds are installed. Our house looks beautiful.
Description of Work: We purchased a large home with very high ceilings full of pickled pink poplar trim, and wanted the entire interior, including many bookcases, painted--all walls and trim. It was a huge job and some estimates came back so high we could have bought a second home with them! The Kobels' bid was less than half the highest bid, and I was persuaded by their excellent ratings on Angie's list that they would do a good job. The job took 6 weeks, with 4-6 people painting, sanding, repairing walls, etc. continuously.

It takes awhile to get on the schedule, but the wait is worth it.
Description of Work: An ice dam during the winter causes water spots on the bedroom ceiling and loosened the wallpaper. Sue and her team, removed the wallpaper, sealed the water spots and then painted the bedroom and adjoining bath. They moved all the furniture. Also removed current bathroom mirrors and hung the new ones. They also hung an new drapery rod in the bedroom. Sue recommended that we only paint woodwork that showed wear and tear.

Sue Koble responded promptly to our request for an estimate and brought several dozen example boards showing a finished product as well as a very complete range of color samples. Our kitchen has a cathedral ceiling and there was also wallpaper to be removed. We decided on a faux finish with a random raised stencil design on 2 walls and a solid color on the rest of the kitchen area. The price was reasonable and our result was fantastic! Sue is such a hard worker (she worked alone!) and is very punctual and tidy. We will call this company again and recommend Sue without hesitation.

Stu and his wife came out to give me an estimate. They had tons of good ideas and advice for me. They couldn't be any nicer. Stu and the team worked really hard and got the job done on time and on budget. And the work looked amazing! They did a fantastic job, and Stu was really classy to deal with. I'm sure I'll bring Stu and the team back to do a few other projects in the future. What a nice guy -- totally trustworthy and incredibly knowledgeable. If you don't hire this company, you are crazy. This couldn't have gone any better.
Description of Work: Fixed cracks in plaster walls, hung new light fixture (which was harder than it seemed due to the age of the house), took down wallpaper, painted four rooms (walls, crown molding, wainscoting, built-in bookshelves, ceilings). When I say they "fixed cracks in plaster walls", they fixed A LOT of cracks. God love 'em, when they took down that wallpaper, I'm sure they went "gulp". But they got it done and took a lot of pride in the quality of the work they did.

Yes...we're guilty of being meticulous. The member was not looking for a quality paint job but rather a company that would paint over imperfections, nail pops, cracks in the drywall, etc. With each job our reputation is at stake. Guilty as charged...we pay close attention to detail.

When Sue came to give us an estimate, she arrived with paint samples and lots of ideas. Our walls were a salmon faux finish and a small hallway was wall papered. We had some ideas and a wallpaper sample; Sue gave excellent suggestions including painting the mantel a color that blends more with walls. I told her that we disliked the look of the fireplace. Great idea and it came out extremely well. We thought their estimate was very through and fair. We had 3 other estimates -- Sue and Stuart were on the high side, but the others had incomplete information. For example, they would quote an hourly rate, but not tell us how many hours it would take. Sue gave us all of that information. As a result, we felt we knew what we were going to pay without surprises. The entire project took 5 days. Sue with/without a helper arrived each day between 9:00-9:30 without exceptions. They worked until 4:30/5:00 with a one-hour lunch break. They took no other breaks. Stuart helped move our wall unit on the first day and set-up the ladders. He checked back periodically, moved the extension ladders around the upper level windows, and moved the wall unit back at the end of project. He provided shim to make sure it was level. Sue selected 4 colors for the faux finish and applied it ALL by hand with a sponge and plastic. Laura painted all of the woodwork, doors, mantel and two columns that separate the dining room from the kitchen. At the end of each day, they cleaned up their equipment, floors and vacuumed any dust from sanding and spackling. It was an exceptional experience. In the end the final invoice was less that Sue had estimated because she didn't have to prime the main walls. She only primed the small hallway because it was papered. She used an oil-based primer (tinted to match the salmon) which seals the paper and then accepts the latex-paint without damage. This saved time and money. We did not know the paper was applied and didn't want to rish damage to the drywall if it had been installed incorrectly. We can't say enough about our experience with Creative Touch Painting. We have already been spreading the word on their excellent work.
Description of Work: Faux finished 2-story great room, dining room, entry and one hallway plus painted all woodwork and fireplace mantel with semi-gloss. Also helped put back an 8-piece wall unit -- leveled it and connected it.

I had used Creative Touch for interior painting which they did a great job! So I contacted them for an estimate on the exterior work. Creative Touch was $700 lower than my 2nd lowest estimate. They started the next week since they combined my job with another job in Dublin. They applied 2-3 coats of paint and repaired some minor trim work. They completed the job in 3 days even though we had rain. The house looks great! I will continue to use them for other jobs.

From the beginning, it was clear that Stu and Susan take great pride in their work, pay attention to detail, and what the customer to be satisfied. I had four quotes on this job and they were the only ones who brought color patches along to select the color of the paint. Stu and his crew were very professional and kept the house operational through the job. The job took four days. As they discovered issues that always come up in a job like this, they quickly and exactly resolved them.
Description of Work: The initial request was for painting the interior of 4 rooms in my home. The rooms had not been painted in many years and required a primer as well as multiple coat of paint. Stu pointed out repairs that should be competed before painting and included this work in the quote. In addition during the work he found several other details that needed attended to and complete them as part of the job. An example of this is cleaning all the receptacle and light switch covers.

Stu and Sue Koble and the Creative Touch team did a great job for us. Initially we really only wanted the interior done and decided to get two quotes. We called a company that had done work for us before (that we were very happy with) and then through Angie's List, called Creative Touch. The other company came up first-took the information, but for whatever reason, we never heard back from them. Sue and Stu then came up and did a walk through with us. We told them what we looking for and not only did they understand, but also made some very helpful suggestions as to other things we might want to consider. Sue said that she would work with us on color suggestions-and we were not easy to work with! In fact, both she and Stu came up on a weekend with color cards and we went through different ideas including doing a striped color on color in the bathroom that came out great! As for Stu, walked through the house-looking at how they would approach the job and some of the issues. He told us how they would repair the crack in the one wall, as well as the water stains in the ceilings. (For the water stains, he said that they would try to touch them up before resorting to painting entire ceilings. That would save us a few dollars-which even considering the scope of the work, we appreciated). Even though we were really looking for interior work- Stu also asked if might look outside the house-and truthfully we are glad that he did. He pointed out issues to us, that after so many years in a home, you really don't see. These included cracks in seams on the outside, some rotted wood around around a door and some really bad wood under a window, that he could actually poke a finger in to. (Turned out ants had gotten behind the wood, so he resealed it. He also went to a lumber yard to replace the wood.) He pointed out that the areas under our eaves were in need of powerwashing and that he could also do our sidewalk and chimney if we wanted while he was at it. After the work had started, it turned out that when they took down a couple of downspouts, that we had large amounts of deposits in them that blocked the water flow. It took them considerable time to clean those out. In the end, as it turned out, while we wanted the inside done, we NEEDED the outside done. We have a great house in a great neighborhood, but as mentioned, sometimes things just go unnoticed. Overall we were extremely pleased with the work done by Creative Touch. There were only two things that ever came up during the entire time. One was that it did take a little time to get the quotes (though we did drag our feet on choosing colors.) The other was that on the first day, there were some of their work items on one of our tables. I took them off and then called them to talk about it. It never happened again. Again considering everything, these are pretty minor and we would definitely use them again as well as refer them.
Description of Work: Painted entire exterior of home as well as multiple rooms on the interior. For exterior-painted stucco and wood around windows as well as entry and garage doors. Where needed, (which was quite a few places) they also caulked seams before painting. In addition, they powerwashed under eaves, sidewalk, front porch and chimney and restained our deck. They also took down, painted and cleaned gutters and downspouts. Along the way, they encountered a few issues, but were very resourceful in solving them. (See below.) For interior-we had our kitchen, family room, loft, sunroom and one bathroom repainted. In addition, we had some water spots in a couple of ceilings and they were able to touch those up without having to paint the entire ceiling. They also repaired a substantial crack in our sunroom wall before painting. Some rooms required a couple of different color schemes or matching-these came out very well!
