Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

We've lived in our house for about 5 and a half years and in that time we added a dog to the family. In an effort to clean the whole house we decided we should have the air ducts cleaned as I imagined the dog hair was bound to be accumulating in the ducts. Luckily we found this Angie's List deal and it really worked out! They contacted me quickly and when they said they would in their message after purchasing the discounted service. The day of service their technician (whose name I am completely blanking out on) called and asked if it would be ok if he came earlier than scheduled, which was great for me. He was so friendly, efficient and thorough. I think the whole thing took maybe 2-2.5 hours. He told me how everything turned out and what follow up was needed on our part. I would definitely use them again.

I thought it was excellent. He came on time. He called before he came and went about his work when he got here. Anytime I had a question he answered my questions knowledgably. He showed me afterwards how much dust was collected. The only problem I had was he left the machine running while he took a call from his boss, and it was a little bit longer call, then I perceived was normal.

The duct cleaning technician did a fantastic job. The ducts in this home had not been cleaned in over 30 years, he did a wonderful job of getting all of the dust and debris cleaned completely out - greatly improved the air quality in our home!! Would definitely use this provider again!

Since I can't crawl around in the ducts (!) I have no idea how it went but I assume it was fine.

Scheduling was fine and they were very responsive. They showed up right on time. Everything went as scheduled. There were good results. The technician was very courteous and respectful of the property. He explained what he was doing and was very careful with the equipment.

I believe it went fine. My wife mainly worked worked with them. I also believe there was a language barrier. I do wish they would have been able to come out sooner but they were booked out completely at the time.

overall ok, the person came on time. though i asked him to clean throughly the main large vent through which the room air gets sucked in but he was not willing. he just opened a little from the side and declined to open the full cover and do it throughly. also i was little surprised how quickly the downstairs got done and had doubt whether he cleaned all the vents. He skipped two vents as i found that they are in closed position. all other vents are in open position as he blows air through them after finishing them. if you are not looking, there is a chance he will skip couple of vents and I had only around 10 or so vents.

Excellent expereince. Technician arrived on time and perfomred the service in a professional manner. Very aware of keeping the house clean during the process.

The tech was late due to a flat tire, but kept me in the loop via his cell the entire time. He did the job fast and efficient, explained all the details and was very respectful. My ducts were not so bad so not much build-up removed, but still very glad I did it.

Everything went as planned, and I had no issues with the service.

Overall, it went well. I decided to change the level of service and it was no problem to make the change with the company and it was easy to schedule an appointment that works with my schedule.

The young man who provided the service called in advance to confirm his arrival time and arrived as promised (at the early end of the arrival window). He was polite, professional, friendly and even removed his outside footwear before entering our home. He asked to see all vent locations and the furnace area. He explained exactly what he would be doing, showed the equipment he would be using and how the cleaning system worked. He spent about three hours, as advertised, to complete the cleaning process and cleaned up each work location. He also made recommendations concerning air filters and used his Smart phone to look up and show me a better ceiling vent option to make changing the filter easier. This is how I expect a home service to be conducted. This was our first use of an Angie's List provider. Thank you.

I was not present during the job, but my mother in law was. The provided did a good job, but left quite a few dust bunnies around. I would have preferred that he do a little bit of a better job at cleaning up afterwards. Since I wasn't there and I tend to be more fastidious than most people about cleaning up, I won't hold that against him. The place was acceptably clean by general standards, just not to my extremely high ones. That being said, I am grateful for the service and will definitively use them again.

All went well, and professional and clean. Right on time, and communications were great! A lot of equipment was needed (vacuum, air compressor, heavy hoses). Especially with entry to a condo, owner readiness (arranging access and close-in parking) was key. I found the value very good, but the one-size fits all pricing under the promotion meant a one-bedroom condo was an easy job. The value would be even better for a small home.

I called Lowe's on August 11 to schedule an appointment. They were unable to give me an appointment until August 21. I wanted someone to come sooner since I am waiting to have the ducts repaired (it's an emergency situation) and the other company won't repair the ducts unless they've been cleaned first. It's no fault of Lowe's, I just need someone to come out ASAP. I did find a different company through Angie's List.

the gentleman arrived on time. he wore shoe covers to protect the floors. because the house is a condo, the worker was not able to get close to the house. he had to move several hoses and vacuum cleaners a long distance, and did this very cheerfully. he cleaned out all the ducts and the furnace. he left the house immaculate and fixed the fan so that it would not run continually. he also explained the steps needed to clean the furnace filter and told me I should take care of this in the fall. this was money well spent and I highly recommend Lowes Air Duct Cleaners.

The technician called to let me know he was on the way and arrived promptly at the agreed upon time. He walked around the house with me noting the location of vents and the furnace and then proceeded to carry out the job. He worked quickly and professionally. I was very pleased.

The service was provided on time. The employee explained what he would do in a very professional way and completed that quickly and quietly (as quietly as possible with a giant vacuum, anyway!). There was no dust flying around my house. All holes in venting were sealed after the job. He also showed me the dust he collected after he was finished. Though it wasn't much, I was satisfied that my vents had been cleaned. (Our system is not that old so maybe there is another cause to all the dust in the house.) He also upsold me a sanitation process at the end of the vent cleaning, which I was happy to buy for an additional $50; he did not pressure me, he just let me know that this additional service was available if I was so inclined. One thing that put my mind at ease was that I purchased a full-house vent-cleaning service -- there were no limits to the number of intakes, ducts, etc. that would be cleaned. It was a set price for everything in the house. Thus I was not worried about him doing only certain vents and then trying to charge me an arm and a leg for the rest. After all the recent scandals with vent cleaning services across the country, this was a situation I wanted to avoid. Happily I did not have to go through anything negative with this service!

I bought the big deal for air duct cleaning. The guy had a big job since the ducts may not have been cleaned since the house was built in 96. Overall he did a good job. However, there were 2 issues, one more annoying than the other. The most annoying issue was that when we called to schedule the appointment, the guy on the phone said we could add in dryer vent cleaning at time of service for an additional fee. When the service guy came, I asked him to do the dryer too. He said it would be an additional fee, I said that was fine. He did the entire house and was ready to go. I asked if he'd done the dryer and he said no because it was too high. Our laundry is on the second floor. This wouldn't have been so annoying if he'd mentioned it before or if he hadn't tried to leave without telling me. The second annoyance was that he was probably the grumpiest man I've ever met and his attitude was especially evident with the dryer issue.

The technician arrived nearly on time. He quickly inspected the forced air heating system and assessed the job to be done. We live in a three-level townhouse, so registers were in the ceiling on the lower and upper levels, and in the floor on the main level. No furniture had to be moved. He had to use the smaller of two drum-style vacuum cleaners because the passage way to the lower level was too narrow for the larger unit. He explained that the job could be done with the smaller unit, but that it would take longer. I was expecting a large diameter hose to be rolled out from the truck with the vacuum unit inside. The truck did contain a compressor, to which a long hose was attached and which he used to apply pressure at the vents. This was supposed to posh the air in the ducts towards the vacuum cleaner that was simultaneously pulling the air towards it. Whether this was effective or not, I do not know, as I was never shown the amount of dust collected. Nor were any of the vent covers removed to put the compressed air directly into the duct. This accounts for the B rating for quality. If I have this done in the future I will make more of an effort to verify the results. The cost of the coupon was only two-thirds of the total cost, which is why a B rating was given for price. The technician worked for about 4 hours. The technician was friendly and courteous and worked efficiently and constantly.
