Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

Serviceman showed up on time and completed the job in a professional manner. Great work!

I was very happy with Lowe's. There was an original cancellation because one of the technicians was ill but they called early and rescheduled for a Saturday at whatever time I felt was convenient. The Technician arrived on time and did a great job. He even took before and after pictures on his cell phone so I could see what had been done.

The gentleman that came to my home from this company was very professional and knowledgeable. He is clearly not a native English speaker but did a very good job at getting his point across in a way that I could understand since I know absolutely nothing about what he was there to do. He took over 2 hours and did a very thorough job. I appreciated all of the information he was able to give me. I would definitely refer this company to a friend!

I was pleased. He arrived on time and performed the work in a reasonable amount of time.

The worker came out but the air ducts were already cleaned so we didn't need the deal.

The technician (I think his name was Bruno) first came out to my home on 08/21/2014 to clean my dryer vent and perform a safety inspection per the big deal purchased. The technician arrived close to on time, wearing gym shorts and slides. The technician asked me to turn on my bathroom fans, and the clothes dryer, then returned to his van to fetch the ladder and a power screw driver to remove the bird wiring off the vent outside the home to clean it. I went back into my home briefly and when I returned the tech told me he was finished. There was dryer lint all over the rocks in my rock garden so I figured "ok". The tech then packed up to go and advised me to have my dryer vent cleaned once per year to prevent fires. I asked the tech if he wasn't going to clean up the lint that was on the ground and he told me it was going to rain that rain and the rain would wash it away. Okkkkkkkk. I gave the tech the benefit of the doubt and a week later, the lint was still there (see pics attached). Upon using my dryer, I noticed the dryer was still overheating. I send Lowe's an email about this, as well as about the lint that was still sitting in my rock garden, and Alex stated he would send the tech back out. The same tech came out again and I mentioned to him the issue and asked him to go to the laundry room to take a look at the dryer hose there. The tech unhooked the hose and you should see the lint inside!!!! It was even worst when he stuck his hand in. The tech said he didn't realize how long my hose was and that it was curved. He then got his apparatus and cleaned the vent from that angle. After cleaning, there was lint in my vent output to the front of house and I asked the tech if he was going to remove it from there. The tech said he couldn't as he did NOT have his ladder with him. The tech told me the lint will fall out or I could call him the following weekend to come out and remove it. Here is the final straw that prompted me to write this review so other potential buyers could be aware and vigilant, when the tech was putting my dryer hose back together he used only two strips of tape. I asked him if that was going to be enough tape to hold the two hoses tightly together and he assured me it was. My hose was also previously secured by some plastic ties which the tech refused to reconnect. You can guess what happened after me using the dryer the second time around...the hose came apart. I am at my wits end with this company. I would NOT use them again as it's evident the work was not done thoroughly nor was the safety inspection or cleanup done. I am attaching pictures so potential consumers can see for themselves...

The service went excellent. The technician did a really good job. He told us the ducts have never been cleaned and he made sure to clean all of the ducts. He also sealed the vents so the dust would not come through the house. He was a very nice guy, knowledgeable and professional. He completed the job in about 2 hours. Scheduling was very easy and they came out when I needed them. I would use the company again.

Service was exceptional. The day before the appointment I called Alex and requested a time change, which he willingly made. The technician, Joe, was polite and friendly, even taking off his shoes before entering my house. He cleaned up my entire dryer area, which was a mess because the vent hose had fallen off and lint was everywhere.

Very professional. Obviously knew his stuff. Didn't try to upsell me with services I didn't need. Highly recommend them.

The technician called ahead to ask if it would be OK to arrive early. I appreciated this, and was home for the whole day, so he did in fact come early. Talked me through what would take place and mentioned some additional cleaning services, such as a "sanitation kit", cleaning the AC coil, cleaning the furnace, cleaning the dryer vent. He mentioned he would call the office to see if there might be a bulk discount for doing all those things. Performed the work, showed me the dirty filter after. Then told me he had inserted the "sanitation pack" and the HVAC fan would need to run for 15 minutes to distribute it throughout the house. Indicated I didn't need the other services. Charged me $75 for the "sanitation pack", an item it must have taken about 2 minutes to administer. I did not appreciate that he did the "sanitation pack" without my explicit authorization, but I suppose I could have refused to pay for it. Poor business practice in my opinion, and it appeared to be intentional, but I imagine this is the bread-and-butter for any of these vent cleaning deals--looking to add on additional services.
