Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

The great thing about Angie's List is that it lets you conduct business with trades people even if you live in another state. Paying the small extra fee for this convenience has proved invaluable. That said, I live in Washington D.C. and have required and acquired many services for my Mom's house in Brooklyn N.Y. Alex of Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning is one of many services I have found through Angie's list. So far, I have only praise for each service provider, including Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning. At first I thought this was part of the Lowe's hardware store services. But after meeting Alex upon his prompt arrival, I was made aware of the difference. Alex was very accommodating to my schedule, although he wanted to start at 8 AM, because I was travelling from Washington, D.C that morning, I could not be at the house before 10 AM. Alex called ahead and said precisely what time he would arrive and that match my schedule perfectly. Alex and his coworker unpacked their vehicle and went to work to assess the overall situation and what was needed to proceed. As a rule I tend to observe service people as they go about their duties, as long as I am not in the way. As I watched Alex and his coworker ply their craft, I was impressed with their thoroughness and attention to detail. Although this is an older house (1899), the ducts are relatively accessible. Before starting, two access openings were cut so that the main vacuum could be attached at the appropriate time to the outflow and return branches leading from the furnace. To my surprise, the work took a while to complete because it was so thorough. After several hours, Alex and his coworker, patched the access holes, cleaned up any residual debris and was ready for their next job. The bill was exactly as quoted when we set up the appointment. It was a great value. To say the least, I was pleased. Further to my noted satisfaction, as a followup, later that same day, the furnace was cleaned and serviced as an annual ritual. The same service person has done this furnace for at least 35 years. And when I told him the ducts were cleaned and how long the men took to clean them, he was more than impressed and noted that they had done a superb job. I told him I also believed they had done a superb job. I would highly recommend Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning (Alex) for your air duct cleaning needs and will use them again when the need arise.

The guys were right on time and got right to work. I was a little unprepared in that I had to show them where all the vents in the house were, but it worked out fine. They showed me a before picture and an after picture of the HVAC. They were very nice and professional and were here about 2 hours.

The two workers who came were very professional and timely. I had to leave before they finished, but someone in the house said they worked continuously until finished. It is hard to judge how much was removed from the duct work if you can't see it. The price was significantly lower than competitors since they had an Angie's List coupon price.

To do this job Lowes sent two young computer science students from Europe who were working their summer here in the U.S. They behaved professionally and were polite but did not meet my expectations. I wanted the reassurance of having experienced duct cleaners who do this work for a living, not young foreign students. I was disappointed and left with the feeling that some companies that offer their services on Angie's List don't give us their best service but send out newbies who can do a passable job for less money.

The young men were meticulous, friendly and clean. They removed their shoes every time they entered the house. They explained their work as they did it. Showed me digital pictures of the vents and returns before and after as they went along. When they were finished, they vacuumed the floor and baseboards all around every vent to make sure they were not leaving any dust or grit behind. I have no qualms about recommending this company again. In fact, I will use them on another house soon.

Indivuduals were on time and very professional. Service was completed quickly and they cleaned up. Quick and painless.

The two technicians worked quickly and appeared to clear out the entire length of the dryer hose. They also left the work areas (inside and outside the house) tidy. That said, they did not alert me to their late arrival until 10 minutes past the end of a 2 hour window I had been given. They were polite upon arrival and did apologize for the delay, blaming it on traffic. I understand traffic is unpredictable but I would have appreciated a phone call much earlier alerting me to the possible delay. Also, they encouraged me to purchase a larger cap for the exterior vent, which I considered doing, but changed my mind when I realized the technician didn't know how to install it. As such, it appeared to be more of a gimmick then a needed upgrade from my existing cap.

They were young adults, not quite what I pictured as an air duct cleaner. They were thorough and did a nice job.

It went well, they did their work and we moved to other areas of the house. It wasnt as loud as I expected. We also added the sanitizing of the ducts on site.

It was easy to schedule the service. Lowes came on time and did a great job with cleaning. The cleaner was courteous and professional. They left the place clean. We felt much better air quality after the cleaning.

I purchased an Angie’s List Big Deal for this service and it went well. They were fine, professional and came in and got the job done. It was quick, easy and done.

They did a very good job and it was just as promised. The only issue was they arrived about an hour later than they said they would but it all worked out.

After moving in to a house that formerly had a cat, I was looking to get the air ducts cleaned as soon as possible to help with the allergies I was experiencing. I searched Angie's list and found Lowe's along with a coupon to sweeten the deal. They called right away to set up an appointment. They called again a week later to confirm and then the day of to let me know they were on their way. They were on time and professional. My only qualm is that the process was not explained.

It went great. He was on time. I like the service.

I thought it went really well. Once I scheduled the service it was great. They told me when it would be and then the day of the service the people actually called ahead of time. They said that they were in the area and asked could they come early. I thought that was fantastic. They arrived early and on time. There were two guys and they asked to see where things were. I walked them around and showed them the different vents. They worked and were very courteous. They did a great job and showed me pictures of the vents before and after, so it was good. They asked if I wanted de-sanitzing or something like that, so I asked if it was going to cost extra and they said yes. I then told them that I was okay without it. I'm sure it was one of those upsell that they always try to do, so I wasn't concerned. When I said no they didn't try to sell me on the perks of it. I have no idea how often you're supposed to actually clean your air vents and it may be awhile, but I would use them again.

It was good. The work met all of my expectations. I would recommend them.

Everything went well. The crew arrived on time and were done in about an hour.They even petted my dogs.

Last night I purchased an Air Duct Cleaning service. I got a call from them this morning saying that they don't service my area, Seattle. They were wonderful when they called me, they were very nice about it. I got a refund through Angie's List.
