Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning

Nice young fellow arrived on time and appeared to do a good job cleaning the ducts. Checked and cleaned the electronic air cleaners and replaced a humidifier filter. I was surprised that he did all that and thanked him. As he left, I felt he had done a good job. Then I found that one of my heat pumps no longer worked, that my programmable thermostat was fried, that the electronic air cleaner didn't work, and that I had water collecting on the floor. When I called Lowes, they said that the serviceman said that the heat pump didn't work when he arrived so he didn't cause the problem. Now I can't prove that it was working when he arrived, but I do get that unit serviced twice annually with no issues and the house was at the thermostat setting when he arrived. I'm not going to argue with Lowes about it, it is possible that they're right but I doubt it. I installed a new thermostat, installed the cover on my electronic air cleaner correctly and found it was also left unplugged. I then found that the humidifier vent line was left open and that the humidifier was turned up to maximum--that caused the water on the floor. I then called in my HVAC service. They found that a 5 amp fuse inside the unit was blown. The apparent cause was something caused a short inside the unit. No issues after the fuse was replaced. My $350 bill for vent cleaning now climbed to another $270 for the HVAC service and a new thermostat. I then found that in cleaning the ducts--he blew dust out of one of the cold air vents into my electronics cabinet where my home theater and surround sound gear sits. A mess. In closing, I had never had ducts cleaned in a house before this. I now notice no difference in dust in my house and I will definitely never get ducts cleaned again.

Scheduling was simple, and the scheduler was interested in ensuring I had a convenient appointment with sufficient time for them to complete the job. Constantin and Bruno were excellent. - called in advance of the appointment time to advise on their actual arrival time, were neat (removed shoes before entering the house), were clear with information about the job and answered all questions in detail, provided before and after pictures of the interiors of the ducts, and cleaned everything up once they were finished. I don't think I could have asked for better work, and I'd put this off for quite a while due to concerns over being able to find the right company for the job. Interestingly enough, a colleague at work had contracted for duct cleaning as well, just a day earlier, and had a terrible experience. I gave her information on Lowe's!

They were punctual, professional and were respectful of our home in the fact that they took their shoes off while in the house. They stayed for almost four hours and took pictures of the ducts before and after the cleaning. We immediately noticed the improvement in our air conditioner. I was super happy with their service and will recommend them to anyone.

The service people were very nice, informative. However, the scheduler did not pass along the information I gave him -- the HVAC unit is on the roof toward the back of my two-story row house; the truck had to be parked in front of my house (no alley access). The Big Deal was for air duct system cleaning which requires a hose from the truck to be connected to the main HVAC unit. Their hose is only 28-feet long and a 32-foot-long hose is what my system would need. They said that since they could not perform the service I should ask you for a refund.

Very efficient and straightforward. I wish they had not wasted one of our air filters just to show how much dust there was, but not a big deal.

The service technican was a true professional. He was on time and began the work immediately. He took the time to explain what he was doing and what I could expect. He showed me the equipment he was using and how the hepa filter he was using collected all the dust and debri in the vents and the air channels. I was impressed with his knowledge and the fact that he took the time to explain the processes he used. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a air duct cleaning service. I have already informed my neighbors of the service and that they should look into this service.

Pictures where taken prior the cleaning and after the cleaning. It was amazing to see all the junk it was removed from the air ducts. each air vent was removed and clean, as well as the returns. We plan to do this every three years, is worth it. I recommend this work to any home owner with a central a/C home.

Tried to schedule service and the techician constantly re-scheduled, finally agreeing to come on *Mother's Day*, to which we reluctantly agreed. The technician drove to my house, but said he could not work unless he was parked next to the house. He was offered a parking space immediately adjacent to my house (where my vehicle was parked), that was more than 12 feet long (a car length and a half) and inexplicably said a motorcycle was parked too near the offered space. At an impasse due to the technician's refusal to respond to reason, we cancelled the service.

The company did what needed to be done. This is a house and people had dogs so was trying eleviate the babies allergies. Two people came to to work on air ducts. They were on time. It took them about two to three hours. I would recommend to friends and family. There were no additional fees.

I really liked them a lot and I think they did a good job. I was happy with the job that they did.

This was one of the best companies we ever dealt with. They were punctual, professional, courteous and meticulous. They found alot of things that had been done incorrectly by other vendors we dealt with in the past and helped fix the problems we had. We highly recommend this company to everyone. Showed up a little late, but did call to say when the new arrival time would be, and was here at the new time. Once here he took off his shoes and came right in to assess how many vents and where they were. Then wanted to see where the furnace was and the main trunk lines. He then brought in his equipment and set up his things and began working. Took around 3 hours to complete. I have 10 vents, 4 returns, and 2 main trunk lines. He also cleaned out the dry vent. He was very good and took his time. All of my vents and lines are very clean now. I can tell a difference when my furnace ran afterwards. He was very polite and always had his shoes off when he was in the house. He did not mind answering questions or telling you what he was doing and showing you.

Service was flexible. Great customer service. Lowe's rescheduled for me three different times due to weather and construction conflicts.

It claimed unlimited vents and returns. Groupon had an even cheaper deal for air duct cleaning system the same week, I would have done that if this deal hadn't said "unlimited vents and returns". When I called them they told me it only includes 1 system, and since I have 2 systems I would have to purchase a second deal to cover that system. It would end up costing $350.

The cleaning out of my duct seems to be fine but I was not pleased at how they put the dryer to wall silver duct back. When I tried to explain that it was positioned badly and that it should be low not sticking above my dryer the one worker did not understand English. The lead worker had a hard time explaining that the vent is attached at the hole at the bottom of the dryer and goes into the wall hole which is equally as low. My dryer vent should be just above the floor across the bottom of the dryer and having it come way up above the dryer and then down and across to the wall was not acceptable. Plus I could not push my dryer back enough in this position...it is a small area for my dryer and washer so every inch counts. It was difficult working with employees that do not understand English plus did not put things back as they were when they started. I was a bit frustrated with the whole experience.

Excellent customer service. They were willing to let us use a coupon that was limited to Fairfax County even though we lived just over the border in Loudoun. We ended up getting same day service since they had a cancellation. The technician was very thorough and pleasant. When he went to clean the dryer vent he noticed the previous owners (we had just moved in) pushed the dryer too close to the wall and crumpled the venting duct. There was excess length to work with so he cut out the crumpled portion so the dryer could vent properly. We were very pleased with the entire experience and would use them again.

It was a very good experience The service man decided that the other part of the house did not need cleaning and stated that it was not necessary.

Due to the type of air duct system that we have, Lowes was not able to complete the service. However, they were very professional and easy to work with. I highly recommend this company.

We purchased the big deal coupon for this service and our experience with him was good. The guy was great and he did a great job. We had to reschedule a couple of times because of us, and he was very helpful. He was here a long time. He worked pretty long and it took him probably 3-1/2 to 4 hours. There are a lot of ducts and returns in this house. He did a good job of that. It’s an old system and we just bought this house, and he showed us how to put the filters in and how to kind of maintain stuff. So he kind of did a good job at that. His pricing was good. We think we’re using him again to get the ducts cleaned. One time he came out already and we were stuck in traffic and couldn’t make it back in time. So he came back out again another time and he was on time. He was very professional.

I was very impressed with not simply the quality of work they did but how friendly and professional their tech was. He called in advance, arrived exactly when he said he would, and was very friendly the entire time. He covered his shoes, which we really appreciate, and was careful not to let our cats out.

After buying a big list from Angie's list, setting up the appointment was easy and the people who came and did the actual work were punctual, courteous and very professional. They cleaned all the ducts in the house including the return, They also cleaned the dryer vent. They showed us all the dust debris collected and were done in about 2 hrs. Would recommend them.
