Desmond and Andrew of Moving Ahead Services arrived in a timely fashion. They were polite and professional. They assessed situation and began loading the truck quickly and carefully. These gentlemen were equally quick and careful unloading furniture and belongings at new apartment. The entire process went smoothly.

The movers arrived on time and explained the contract. They padded the door jam so that it would not be damaged. Most of the items were fine furniture made of cherry and mahogany. Nothing was damaged at all. Each item was carefully wrapped and carried from our house. The moving pads were all very clean and dirt free. We were impressed. I will use this company again if I need moving services. They were efficient, polite and very competent.

I had a great all around experience with Moving Ahead Services. I asked for a price quote over email and they were quick to respond with all the info I needed. When I needed to reschedule, it just took a quick phone call . . . and no associated fee. On moving day, the 3-person crew was on time and very friendly. The guys made quick work of our move and everything was handled professionally.

The pack date is set for June 20th and the move date is June 21st. My experience so far has been outstanding. I feel very comfortable with the people.

The movers arrived on time, were polite and very efficient. They took care not to damage furniture and completed all work very well. I intend to hire them again for this in house moving work.

They did a great job of keeping in contact prior to the move and arrived on time. They had the items loaded, transported, and unloaded within the parameters of the deal. We were expecting that "overtime" would be required, as had been our experience in the past but not these guys. The workers behaved very curteously and professionally. Thanks to them, we had a very stress-free beginning to our long moving process. We would have no reservations using them again in the future.

Six gentlemen came over promptly when scheduled, did a quick tour of our home and belongings and immediately said they'd recommend getting a second moving truck to save us money. Two of them split off to get the truck as the remaining four started to move our belongings. They were super friendly guys and they really appreciated when we bought them a case of water and some donuts. The wrapped all our paintings and photos and packed the truck like a great game of Tetris. They worked from 9am until 6pm never taking a break. Not even for lunch. We bought them pizza and they'd grab a slice with one hand and a box with the other. I was almost sad to see them go they were so nice. Nothing was broken, everything made it. They even disassembled and reassembled our furniture.

My daughter unexpectedly decided to return to Columbus after having spent a year in Boston. I called Moving Ahead Services, who had moved her out to Boston the previous August, and was able to immediately schedule the move. Skyler and Ryan arrived promptly on the scheduled move date and proceeded to work like ten men, rather than two! They were unbelievably pleasant, efficient, and more careful with our things than we would have been. It was a repeat performance with the unloading. We could not have been any happier with these two movers. They truly made the move less stressful and enjoyable than I could ever have believed. I would not hesitate to use them again and would give them my highest recommendation. Quite simply, they were the best!

Absolutely wonderful move - the 2 person team, Anthony and Matt, were awesome: professional, courteous, careful, and helpful. The price was as quoted. Additional services were offered (cleaning, packing, insurance) but there was absolutely no pressure. I would definitely use this company again and would recommend to my friends. They are slightly more expensive than some, but in my opinion, totally worth it!!!

They did a great job. They were very responsive when I initially called for a quote.

It went well overall. They were on time, polite and considerate. They had estimated the need for 1 truck and we actually needed two so that took extra time that ended up costing extra money. They also threw dirty moving blankets on my furniture and I needed to have it all steam-cleaned to get the dirt off. Also some of my wood furniture was scratched. No move is perfect and overall they were a good value. If I were to use them again I would be more specific about how I want my larger items protected before they go in the truck.

Went exceptionally well. The movers (Jimmy and Eric) were very professional. Although it was raining hard as they loaded the van in Beavercreek, they were very methodical and unfazed by the rain. The move involved a number of stairs and narrow passages and taking possessions from a second floor apartment to a second story 2 floor condo. They were careful and patient moving furniture, etc to specific rooms.

Helped me to move from Cleveland. They are very professional group. Reasonable price. I will select them again.

I thought it went exceptionally well. They did a great job and knew that I was in a time crunch and really seemed like they were trying to work quickly and efficiently.

I contacted the mover in early March and scheduled an appointment to go through my house and to quote based on delivery to two locations. He came on time and had a quote to me in only three days. I was very pleased and after some discussion, decided the best pickup was Sunday morning, 4/6/14, and then I would drive to Michigan and meet the trucks the morning of 4/7/14. For the pickup, Jered, Joel, Joe, and Dez were on time. They were very professional and helped me with the little extras I just had not done completely or packed the best. They were friendly and seemed to enjoy their work. The next morning, in Michigan, they actually got to the new apartment before I did, at 9:00. They unloaded the furniture and boxes as marked, being cheerful about it when I asked them to change something. Then we all drove to the storage facility and they quickly unloaded the truck and filled the unit. They were done before lunch time. I would definitely recommend this company. They made the stressful experience of moving a bit easier!

We had an amazing experience! We couldn't have been happier with our experience. Jerod and Joe were our moving experts! They showed up a few minutes early and were ready to go. Initially they were not expecting a house to house move, however they went over the top to accomodate. Jerod walked through all of the information with me, and Joe started working right away. I was amazed at how quickly and efficiently these gentlemen worked. We were moving from a 2400 sq ft house and we had ALOT of heavy and challenging furniture. This didn't phase them at all! They went to work, moving room to room and wrapping everything as they went to prepare for the move. We only had a short distance to go, but they still made sure that everything was wrapped and packed the right way. I was concerned about only having two of them with the amount of stuff and the weight of everything that we had, but everything went off with out a hitch. They kept me involved in the process from start to finish! The most impressive thing they were able to do was to transport our desk. It is a three piece sectional desk and almost impossible to transport. Jerod measured the doors in both homes and let me know that the door at the new home would not accomodate the desk. I was crushed! However, he was determined to get the desk in! He and his brother actually diassembled the desk so they were able to get it through the door and then put it back together! They really went above and beyond! I couldn't have asked for a better team of guys! I would highly recommend! We will absolutely use this service again!

The moving crew was phenomenal. I was originally supposed to receive a crew of five, however, unfortunately one of the individuals had a personal emergency. My rate was lowered and the crew of four still managed to complete the task within the estimated time. The team was very personable and professional. As soon as they arrived at my house they introduced themselves and asked for a tour to re-evaluate everything I was originally quoted. I believe the team consisted of Ryan, Bob, Darren, and Matt. They moved everything very quickly and efficiently. They worked together and just did a tremendous job. There's not a lot of detail to be given here, because they did exactly what they were paid to do. As I stated, they were exceptionally nice and professional and also called us by our names which was a nice touch rather than saying "Sir" or "Ma'am" every five minutes for us to direct where to place everything in the new house. A+ to this team, I would definitely use them again in the future. Maybe even request the same team by name if that time ever comes. I understand they have a cleaning operation as well. Based on the performance and quality of the moving team, I will definitely be checking their other services out. They've earned my business for the foreseeable future.

The drivers showed up on time with 2 trucks and 5 men. We had been offered a sixth man for an additional $25 per hr but he evidently was now unavailable. When I originally spoke with Spencer about the sixth man he said it would go much faster and save us money in the end. The men had to work an hour over at time and a half which pushed the cost up an additional $300. Our original estimate was for $1500 but we ended up paying $2160 after the 10% angies list discount. When we booked the move, I explained that there was a very steep, curved driveway & was assured this wasn't a problem however, one truck couldn't be driven up ( causing the men to have to carry the items up- I am sure this took additional time & left them very tired, so they were not working as quickly $$$) Secondly, the company truck leaked oil on our neighbors driveway. I think they should put boxes underneath to prevent this from happening. I was dissapointed that several boxes which were clearly marked fragile( hand written as well as white fragile tape displayed on all sides) had heavier boxes loaded on top of them. In the long run we could have used a national moving company for the same amount of money.

In spite of pouring rain, they managed to get everything off the truck without damaging anything, and even pointed out certain items that had gotten jostled in the move and scratched here and there. It was an awful day to have to move. It was cold and rainy and they weren't negative nor did they complain. They used pads to protect the doorways and they were careful to collect different bits of hardware that had come loose from the beds and scattered all over the floor of the moving truck. I had a handful of things I needed moved to different places in the house even though they had already moved them once. And they moved them gladly. They were also very punctual and as soon as they were done unloading the truck, the leader stopped the clock. So I as appreciative they didn't keep the clock running just to have it running. The only reason I gave them a "B/Good" on professionalism instead of "A/Excellent" is because they had several visible tattoos and dressed kind of sloppily. I'm a teacher and pretty conservative when it comes to professional dress on the job, so I would have preferred to see them in company shirts and jeans, but they were still very nice guys and I felt confident with my entire household's belongings in their hands. You won't be disappointed in Moving Ahead Services.

Quick and effeicent. The broke their backs so we did not have to. I would recommend.
