They provided us with any supplies we requested before move day. I took Andrews advice and had them come the day before the move to help organize and pack what we had not packed. This was the best thing I did! I suggest this service for anyone who is moving because they pack better than I could and it made moving day so much less hectic.Moving day was very busy and somewhat emotional but the guys were so thoughtful and efficient it made the day go very smoothly.

Gary and Travis showed up on time, performed a walk-thru of the home to put together a game plan and went straight to work. My wife and I were very impressed. They were professional and courteous throughout. Some specific services they performed included: 1. Carefully wrapped any large items before loading; 2. Took apart and reassembled any large items that needed it. These guys worked their butts off and came in well under budget. Tom

they followed all designations on the boxes to assure everything was put into the right truck (had 2 trucks) and to the right direction and right place. They were great and even had to work through a rain storm unloading. Very prompt and professional

There was some confusion regarding the cost initially, as we had purchased the Big Deal and I don't believe the mover who came had dealt with it before and was trying to charge us the full price, but he got on the phone and resolved with his boss after a bit of back and forth. Because of this he discounted some moving items we had purchased separately. We went over the time so we paid about 100 more than the Big Deal was, for maybe 45 minutes over the time. We did not move every item in the apartment, mostly the large stuff as we didn't want to have to pay for the extra time. 2 guys came on time (actually early, but I wasn't quite ready so they took a break and came back at the appointment time). They moved the items quickly and professionally taped and wrapped items they were concerned would be harmed without me having to ask. They gave opinions on whether items would fit and possible consequences for trying to take over-sized items down a narrow basement passage that probably saved us damage to the walls. I would definitely use them again. Just make sure you settle price and deals upfront prior to work being done as they have multiple crews and locations and it can be unfamiliar.

Found Moving Ahead on Angie's List and called them in the hope that they would have availability in less than a weeks' time. They did, and I booked that day. They answered all of my questions and were professional and helpful throughout several phone conversations. On the day of the move, the truck did arrive about 20 minutes late, but the driver called me to let me know about it prior to their scheduled arrival time, and it wasn't a problem for us. The movers were fast and efficient and handled our stuff carefully. I would certainly use their service again. Price was reasonable, and we got a 10% discount in using Angie's List.

We used Moving Ahead Services for our last move, and we're using them again when we move next week. We found them to be very professional, courteous, reasonably priced, and best of all they were extremely careful with our belongings. We had a great experience with them!

I selected this mover because I needed specific dates for the move & they were able to do this. They loaded on a Saturday and delivered on a Monday. I also selected them because they were very prompt at answering questions via email communications and were one of the few companies that followed-up with me after the initial quote. I thought they were a little more expensive than other companies, but to me, that was worth it to have specific dates confirmed and to have the same crew loading here that would be unloading at my daughter's house. Also, when I expressed that to the company, they worked on the price by giving me a 10% discount as an Angie's List member. That paid for the extra insurance for actual cash value reimbursement. Everyone I communicated with via email and phone was extremely friendly, polite, and professional. The pick-up from my house was prompt with a call-ahead they were on their way. The loading crew were efficient, took care when loading (even had a spinet piano) - worked well together and were a pleasure to work with. They took care in making sure the truck was loaded safely for my items. Delivery had a little glitch, but I didn't deem it significant because the communication was excellent. There was a problem for the drivers who needed additional money for all the tolls in the NY area. The company wired them the money and there was only about an hour & 45 minute delay in the original delivery time. However, the drivers called me 3 times during the delay with updates and they must have apologized about 5-6 times. Things happen sometimes, and I think the most important aspect is to keep people informed, despite the problem, and they did just that. Per my daughter and her husband, delivery was also efficient and the staff were wonderful. The only damage was a lost wheel on one piano leg. The company contacted me about that noting to let them know how they could correct it and if it needed to be ordered, they would be happy to take care of whatever needed to be done. My daughter said the tuner came to tune the piano & said they could probably get a wheel at the local home improvement store. My daughter said it would be minimal and I didn't need to submit any claim to the company. I would use this company again - can't say enough about the excellent customer service I received.

The week prior, I received several reminder emails. One noted they can bring a food-pantry donation box, free of charge. While I had already donated, community service like that speaks volumes to the company good values! John and Curtis arrived right on time, took excellent care in making sure the piano was wrapped for transport, delivered and placed the piano exactly as requested, including the obligatory move two inches this way, that way, then back, lol. They reviewed the contract in detail and even reminded me of the 10% Angie's list coupon I had used and forgotten about - much appreciated. All moving supplies were cheerfully removed. Good job, John and Curtis! I see why they have their A rating, would recommend them highly and would use them again, regardless of having a coupon.

did work quickly and well - at the time didn't have record of my having paid so I was overcharged but this was corrected and $405 returned to me within a short time

I'm so happy with how things went on Wednesday. From obtaining an estimate, scheduling, to the actual move, every aspect was extremely professional. I've already requested the same three movers for the final leg of my move.

They were fantastic. A 3-man team showed up early. Were very careful with our furniture but also very efficient with the time. We would highly recommend this company when looking for good movers!

Two fellas showed up half an hour early, which actually worked out nicely for us. They moved everything exactly where we wanted it, and to my knowledge managed not to take any paint off the walls. Great job!

A Moving Experience provided two movers who were very professional and very good at their job. I had contracted with them for two hours for $220.00 and the move only took one more hour which was an additional $120.00, I feel the rates were very reasonable. They reassembled the furniture quickly and well. I would recommend them to friends and family.

The Moving Ahead Services employee drove a truck up to Chicago and met us, on time, along with two local contractors. They moved us out of our 3-bedroom apartment in about 3 hours. We had packed ahead of time. The next day, the same representative met us at our new house in Columbus. Again, he arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. This time he had only one aide. They moved us in in about 3.5 hours. They were very cordial, despite the terrible heat (96 F with high humidity). I would use Moving Ahead again in a heartbeat.

I have never written a review before but for this company I had to. If you are looking for a moving company in the Columbus or Cleveland area you found the one to use right here. Andrew and the crew at moving ahead services surpassed our expectations in every single way. In an industry where almost every company tries to find a way to screw your over these guys bent over backwards to help us at every turn. First there was a scheduling issue where we had to move the date and it wasn't rescheduled correctly (our fault)they still moved things around and helped us out by making sure a crew could move us on the day we needed. And this was when they were booked up for a month in advance, he said let me work on this for you .. And a few hours later he called back saying they found a way to make it work. Day of the crew was running about 10 mins late but they called an hour before they were due to arrive to let us know they would be a bit late (huge bonus points right there!) when they arrived it was obvious the 3 man crew were professionals with experience. They were super quick and efficient and had us moved out and In to the new place in 4 hours. They came in right under the estimated cost (also amazing - this never happens) and were friendly and helpful the whole time. When we later discovered a TV had been damaged my husband geared up for a fight to try and get even a small percentage of the replacement cost. They immediately apologized for the damage and told us they would replace the damaged item for its cost at 300 dollars - even though we had no additional insurance and the amount we signed for and agreed to would have only given us about 40 dollars. They still gave us a check for 300 within a day of our initial complaint, even though they weren't obligated to at all. Wow!!!! We will never use anyone else. I also love that this is a small family company that values customer service and results above all else. We have moved 8 times over the past 18 years. This was the easiest moving company to deal with at the most reasonable price we have ever paid. I can't say enough about Advanced Moving Services and hats of the Angles List for telling us about them and their special deal.

We hired Moving Ahead Services to move our furniture from one house to another. We scheduled an afternoon move and we knew that the truck had another place to be in the morning so we weren't expecting them to be exactly on time but they called and let us know their ETA. Once they got there they were SUPER quick and careful with our belongings. We would definitely hire them again.

we received the furniture on June 11 (the first truck) like we wanted it to work out but then we where informed that on June 14 that we had another truck to unload a U HAUL (4 by 8 cargo trailer to be exact) for 900 dollars small sized and not even a large enough size for the rest of our furniture besides that they took all are stuff apart in pieces that has never ever ever have happened to the furniture but the mover who delivered our stuff did not know anything about the furniture and how to put it together it took them about 3 hours to put it together the boxes titles that they have put on the box was not the same that was inside they also left about 10 or 15 blankets that were used to move my furniture because he didnt want to carry them with him because of his flight he was flying back to Columbus Ohio at 2 so he was rushing and did not miss his flight

Had the best experience with Seth and Curtis. They were fast, efficient, friendly, professional, and got my townhouse of furniture moved into my new house well within the expected time. I can't recommend them enough! Give these guys a major bonus, please. This was, perhaps, the best money I have ever spent on anything. It made moving, painless! I am definitely asking for Curtis and Seth for my mom's move later this year or early next. I am in awe of their skill and communication with me every step of the way. They gave me a call ahead to allow me the opportunity to get things done that I couldn't have done if I just had to wait around with no clue when they would arrive. Seriously, I understand why these guys are so well reviewed.

They arrived early, worked hard and were very helpful.

The two young men who came to load the household goods into a moving truck were very friendly and helpful. They were late for the loading as the original trailer they were supposed to pick up wasn't available at the last minute, so they got a Penske truck and loaded that instead. They informed me that once they got a new trailer, my daughter's belongings would be reloaded onto the trailer which would be hitched to the moving van. We don't know who loaded the actual trailer as it happened the next day. Unfortunately, whoever it was didn't take as much care as the two men who came to load the Penske truck. Once the trailer arrived in Florida, we found damaged items. We had clearly marked items that were very fragile like lamps, but whoever loaded the trailer apparently didn't pay close attention to that. A dresser sustained some damage, too, as well as a lampshade and the wheel on an office chair (we couldn't fix or replace it) We don't blame the two men who first came to load in Columbus. The driver of the moving truck, Josh, and his assistant, John, were super nice and helpful. Josh in particular apologized repeatedly for any damage done to my daughter's belongings. He even called the company and arranged for a $20 refund to cover the cost of replacing the lampshade. We'll see how long it takes to get that. He advised my daughter to check everything that wasn't already unpacked before he left so she could file a claim with the company within 60 days. He and John also put together my daughter's bed frame and lifted the box spring onto it, lifted her microwave onto the kitchen counter and her computer and printer out of their boxes (she and I both have back problems and couldn't do that). We truly appreciated their caring attitudes.

We moved on a very rainy day. We left our 2 bedroom apartment and moved to a single family home. The truck showed up on time and the guysgot right to work. After an overview of the rooms and things to move, they quickly got to work. They were very efficient and had the truck loaded in just a few hours. Damageable items such as our kitchen table chairs were padded so that they would be protected. The guys were very efficient unloading as well. Everyone we talked to was extremely polite and nice. Next time we move, we will definitely hire them again!
