My friend recommended Moving Ahead for my move. He found their services off Angie's List and they moved his stuff from Cleveland to NY. He said they were great from the moment they answered his call, till they moved him into his new apartment. I contacted them through Angie's List. And just as he described, they were very helpful and professional, as soon as they answered my call. Answered all my questions in details. I scheduled 2 moves, one from Lakewood, OH to Beachwood, OH. And another from Providence, RI to Beachwood, OH. When they came to Lakewood, I was a bit late coming back from work. They had already checked with the leasing office, got their visitor badges and were already parked in the right spot waiting for me. They uploaded everything, drove to Beachwood, and moved my stuff in. They were done in 2 hours and 45 mins. Very fast and efficient. When they moved us from Providence, they called the night before, and the morning after. Arrived on time. Uploaded everything in 2 hours. 2 days later, as agreed, they at the new apartment at 9:00 sharp. And were done withing 2 hours. Very efficient, fast and professional. I highly recommend them for any move.

They were terrific. Very polite and careful with the furniture. If I need this work done again, I'd hire them in a minute

Travis and Roger were the two movers from Moving Ahead Services that we worked with for our move from a 1 bedroom apartment into a 2 bedroom apartment. They arrived on time and were quick going about their business, wrapping our furniture and transporting it to the truck. Things proceeded smoothly and efficiently, and both Travis and Roger were professional, hard working, and careful. My wife and I were very happy with the services that we received and our move was far less stressful than it could have been because we went with Moving Ahead Services. We highly recommend them for anyone needing movers.

They came early. They were very quick and thorough. Everything went very smooth. They brought an extra mover which helped. They had to go up into an attic and were in and out in 18 minutes with all of her stuff. They went far beyond what we had expected. They moved everything back into our house quickly. They were professional.

Quick and efficient - the guys were mindful of fragile items and very professional. They even worked dilligently in the extreme heat, which was above and beyond what I could have ever expected!

They were great. Packed up his things from our house, drove to Chicago, they stayed over night, I flew in & they met me at my sons apartment the next morning. Moved furniture into a 5 room apartment extremely efficiently. (we had 2 men - one was Tim Lake - he was great, sorry, I didn't get a card from the other guy who was also great) Also recommended this company to others. May be a little pricier than others, but worth it!

The entire process went very well. There was a large amount of work, larger than the the Moving Ahead team expected. Only a two man team started the process (Landers and Robbie) did a fantastic job of loading the u-Haul truck. They worked **** ** a very hot day, never complaining that the job was a 3-4 man job and they were performing all of the work. After loading the u-Haul truck they began loading/packing the first POD, half way through the first or two PODs a third team member arrived to help finish the job (Tyler). The entire job was finished after 7 hard and hot hours of work and the job was very well done. I recommend Moving Ahead Services and commend Landers and Robbie for their outstanding efforts, also thank you to Tyler to helping finish the job.

It went great! Donnie and D'Andre were on time, very nice, respectful of my items. It was the best experience I've ever had using a mover.

These guys are good and fast. I had a good feeling about them when the communication before the move was fast. Andrew Pringle responded to any and all my online questions within the same day, and sometimes even after regular office hours, and that's not common anymore nowadays. So the crew came to my house, despite being a little late, they called me ahead to let me know that they were on the way and traffic was slowing them down a little, so i was already anticipating that. As soon as they arrive, we talked about what needs to be moved and strategy, and the guys went to work immediately. they were fast and cheerful the entire time they were working, and i don't think i saw them take a rest at all....they have far exceeded my expectation and we will definitely be using them again for our future move

The move went excellent. Everything was very professionally moved. Everything was securely tied down inside the moving truck with padding to prevent damage. Everything was moved into the new location with no damage. The moving team was very courteous and professional. I would definitely use this moving service again and also recommend to others.

We purchased the special promotion of moving with a truck, 2 men and 2 hours for $225. Three movers came instead of two but 2 of the young men were new to the job (for less than a week). They were courteous, worked hard and tried to be careful with the furniture. There was a miscommunication in the process. We locked our apt after all the furniture was loaded to the truck and took off to the new condo, not knowing that the driver had left his cell phone and the info to our new condo address in the old apt. We waited for the truck to arrive at the condo for over half an hour and finally managed to get hold of the office manager and then the driver about the problem. The movers finished unloading all our furniture an hour later than scheduled but they didn't charge us for the overtime due to the mishap. We are very satisfied with their service. It was a good, affordable value of their service for us.

Two man crew did excellent job. They wrapped furniture in pads and plastic wrap to protect while moving, and moved everything in efficient manner. Would use again.

Did skype to estimate truck size, movers called ahead, they were on time. Two really good guys! They were careful packers. They were patient and flexible and the day ran long but they never lost their good moods. We started at 8 am and finished the second home at 10pm. They next day was driving. The following day was unloading. They made good time and remained careful. NOTHING was broken! I just finished unpacking and nothing was broken and I am amazed because I packed a lot myself and had past experiences with movers who were less careful with self-packed boxes. Not these guys. I was impressed and would use them again. Highly recommend a door to door move and this company. PAM

The gentlemen that moved me were very nice, however, I had a 65"4K UHD 3D Samsung television that was damaged during the move. I don't believe that it was done on purpose or anything but accidents do happen and my $2800.00 TV that was only 9 months old was damaged beyond repair. When I made the appointment for my move I was not offered any type of insurance for my personal belongings. Then when the movers showed up they only offered me one type of insurance that states I would accept minimal reimbursement for any damaged property at 0.60 lb. At that point, what was I suppose to do? I am a single women with no one else to help me move so I had to have them move me. When the cable people came to activate my cable 2 days later they turned the TV on and the screen was cracked and the middle. I immediately called the moving company, while the cable person was still standing there, to report the problem. They advised me that a manager would call me back the next day. I didn't hear from the manager until two days later and I told him the issue. He requested that I send him some pictures of the damaged TV and to explain what I believe they could do to resolve the issue and then he would call me back on Monday to discuss the resolution. I simply requested for the TV to be replaced or for them to give me the cash value of the TV and I would repurchase the TV myself. I also provided the receipt for the original purchase of the TV. The manager didn't even bother to call me back at all. He sent me an email on Tuesday, not Monday as promised, saying that basically my TV was only worth $31.50 but they would be willing to give me $150.00 to settle the problem. That is just insulting. I am very disappointed in every aspect. I paid $535.00 for the move plus I lost $2800.00 for my TV AND now I have to buy another one. I would NEVER recommend this moving company to anyone!!!!

They moved my daughter from our house to her Short North apartment. They were fabulous and we will use them ANY time we need one of our family members moved.

Went great! Matt, Gary and Seth we super efficient at packing and prep on day one. Day two was a long day. Donnie, Jon, Dodge, Tyresse, and Thomas worked non-stop to get us moved in. No slackers on these crews! Very professional young men. Personable, friendly and accommodating.

My two movers showed up on time and with a larger truck than expected. I had already moved my small items to my new home, but Moving Ahead helped with my larger furniture. They wrapped/protected all necessary items, were courteous and clean. Couldn't have asked for more! Thank you!

The company called the day before the move to confirm the appointment at 9 AM the next day. On the day of the move they called 30mins earlier and were on time with no delays. The 2 guys did a great job and helped finish the move in 3hrs. They were courteous and thorough professionals and helped make the move a breeze. The only issue was with the billing in the end, the guys were not aware I had booked through Angies coupon which was 2hrs for $225. So after I explained they had to call their supervisor to sort it out and this took about additional 20mins. Definitely recommend for folks who don't want to stress about the move.

Immediately after we closed on our new home (approximately two weeks before our move) I began researching moving companies on Angie's List, as I am on bed rest due to pregnancy complications and could deliver my baby any day. We were hoping that hiring movers would ensure a stress free move. I was looking specifically for a reputable moving company who could provide the man power and start time I needed to ensure a punctual arrival to my baby shower (which had been moved up from it's original date due to my high risk status). After speaking at length with Adam Gurwell with Moving Ahead, he guaranteed me that I would be on time to my shower if I booked with his company. He said we would be the first stop of the day with a 7:00 a.m. arrival time and that four movers would be sent due to the large number of items, including a piano. The move was estimated as 3 to 5 hours, meaning even if they arrived late and took the entire time, I still had lots of time to make it. The day before our move, a representative with Moving Ahead called to confirm our start time and that four movers were assigned to our move. The following day, the movers arrived at nearly 8:00 a.m. with only three men (one of which was in training, unsure of himself and extremely slow). The other two assigned him largely to organizing the truck and some wrapping of furniture; therefore, about half way through loading you could see how fatigued the other two men were. By 10:45, less than half of our furniture was loaded and the two tired men were struggling in the rain/snow with the small spinet piano. It was at this point that I inquired with the team where the fourth man was. The movers said that he didn't show to work on time, which is why they were a little late. They had called to check on his status, assuming he would join up with them... it was at this time that the men were told he had been reassigned to a different team. They apologized as this made no sense to them either given we all were promised a fourth mover to begin with. It was at this point that I contacted the moving company myself to see what was going on. When I called Moving Ahead, the representative was apologetic and said he would look into assigning a fourth man to help unload. He agreed that it was taking too long and seemed to share my concern about making it to my shower in time; however, ensured me that it the job would be completed as promised, as it only takes a fraction of time to unload compared to loading. At first he offered to take 10% off of my bill; however, I stressed to him that I wasn't trying to nickle and dime the company... time is money and I hired Moving Ahead because I was ensured they could get the job done. I initially didn't want money back... I wanted to be on time for a shower that involved family from out of state and to celebrate this fragile life that I was about to give premature birth to. He promised a resolution and to update me, explaining that it shouldn't be a problem to assign the fourth mover back to us in time to unload. Well, I never heard back from that representative. I called again and spoke with a female representative at 12:52 who did not seem to be local or know what was going on. She said she would have someone call me back ASAP about the status of the fourth mover, as we had arrived at the new home and still had only two and a half movers. I called back approximately 30 minutes later after failing to hear from someone and left a voicemail. No one replied. Long story short, yes after nearly 7 long hours (2 hours over quote obviously due to their own error in assigning our fourth man some place else)... we were late. This also caused much stress for me, which is sad considering I hired professional movers because I'm supposed to be on bed rest and needed a stress free move. Basically, the math breaks down to this... I was quoted at a max estimated price by Adam of 1,084.50 prior to hiring Moving Ahead. After their 10% off (with no contact from the company despite my three attempts to get answers), we still ended up paying $1,000.00. Yes, an impressive savings of $84.50 because the move cost a ridiculous amount over due to the extra time it took BECAUSE OF THEIR SLOW THIRD MAN WHO EVEN IRRITATED HIS OWN TEAM MEMBERS AND THEIR OWN ERROR IN SENDING MY FOURTH MAN TO ANOTHER TEAM). Does this make sense to anyone? I think a reasonable response would be to have contacted me directly in the first place and a valid attempt to rectify the situation by sending the fourth man (who was out there somewhere). If the discount was the only thing that could be done at that point, they should have taken it off of my original max price. ADDENDUM: Heather with Moving Ahead contacted me two weeks later regarding our move and insured that changes had been made in the company so that these things would not happen again. They are also offering better training for their employees. Heather was very kind and apologetic and offered me a 50% discount. I do believe that if the company follows through on their new promises that I would feel comfortable using them again in the future and recommending them to others. As an Angie's List member, I will be changing their grade if they go through with their promise to me. addendum/ Heather followed thru with promises $50.00 credit was given back to me. I feel comfortable with this company and would recommend

I was pleased to find a company that would handle a small move at a reasonable price. They scheduled within a few days. The Angie's deal included two hours of work and travel. The move was completed within that time. The workers were polite and efficient. They worked steadily. No problems arose.

Perfectly! From beginning to end! They arrived slightly early and after introductions began work. They all work very well together too. Once at our new home they were very careful. We have hardwood floors throughout most of the house. Two worked inside and two out to minimize any dirt, water, etc. (we did have rain!). It went exactly as planned and they were very expedient as we were paying by the hour. We'd like to mention the four young men that made this move such a pleasure: Seth, Darrian, Matt and Curtis--they were awesome! We have moved too many times to count and this was by far the most professional job performed!!! Thank you all for making the difficult job of moving as pleasant as it can possibly be!

Moving Ahead Services/moving team Ron and Bob, scheduling mgr. Devin, confirmation staff Andrew. I booked their services a few weeks prior to our moving date. Devin made the booking experience easy and I was confident that the day would go smoothly after speaking w/ Devin. Ron and Bob arrived early and gave us plenty of notice prior to their arrival. They got the job done in the allotted time and we couldn't have asked for a better team. Their attitude, level of respect and overall professionalism was TRULY outstanding. Our daughter moved her belongings from her previous residence to our home. Ron and Bob treated our daughter w/ repect and were so considerate in all aspects of the job. Our family really couldn't have had a better experience w/ your company and I would not hesitate to book your company in the future. You have certainly done a fantastic job training your staff in top customer service. Thank you again for everything!
