Description of Work: I paid for a mulch deal with jo-har lawnscape on angieslist, called jo-har lawnscape and spoke with them. They told me they would call me back and schedule a visit to my home but I never heard back from them and it has been 1 month.

Description of Work: Absolutely wonderful company! The owner was friendly, prompt, fair & the workers were hard working, respectful, & cleaned the area thoroughly. We had 6 cu yd of mulch spread in flower beds & service included cost of extremely good quality mulch & the labor. Hope to use their service yearly.

Description of Work: We purchased a mulching deal from Angie's List. Jo-Har Lawnscape did a wonderful job landscaping, however, trying to communicate with them was a nightmare. It took forever for someone to call you back. When they finally called back, it would be 9:00 at night. It was extremely frustrating having to deal scheduling service. I almost canceled the deal because I was so frustrated.

Description of Work: Re-mulched from planting beds |I had a little difficulty getting the initial appointment scheduled, however after that they were very prompt coming out when they had agreed. They seemed very professional and did a nice job. There was no mess or any other evidence that they had been there except for much better looking beds.

Description of Work: Andrew and Wes worked on yard cleanup. It was an Angie's Deal for $112, great price and since they did such a great job and were so pleasant ,I had them stay and do more work. Very amicable, personable guys and good workers too. Would have them back, definitely. | | |

Description of Work: I purchased a package for removing debris, and leaves etc from the lawn. The came just before the end of October. Two men came, an older gentleman and a young man. When I explained what I needed done, I learned that the younger man was highly allergic to poison ivy so he would have an issue with weeding a section of the yard. He used scissors to cut the weeds rather than pull them out by the roots. I am sure they will be back in the spring. I also asked that a thicket of grape leaves be removed from the back of my garage. There are sill several large roots sticking out of the ground and one of the arbors put in the ground to keep the grape leaves up was left in the ground. The worst was that about 15 minutes before they were ready to leave the leaves in the back yard and the grape leaves removed were piled on a tarp in the back yard and the front yard leaves were blown together in a pile. I then learned that if I wanted them to complete the job it would cost me another $40 dollars for each of them to pick up and put the debris in their truck for disposal. After discussion, he agreed to remove the pile from the back yard already on the tarp during the final 15 minutes. I was then left with a pile of leaves in the front yard to dispose. Needless to say, I was not happy. The deck and driveway were not touched. When they left I did not feel that I got my moneys worth. They were very nice but I won't use them again.

Description of Work: Jo-Har did a great job on our fall yard clean-up. The price was right and the work was excellent.

Description of Work: Fall clean up of our garden, we had to reschedule a few times due to rain. Two young men came and used hedge clippers to cut down the garden and bushes. I presumed that they would have pulled the weeds from the ground instead of cutting at ground level. Needed to be more specific or they needed to be trained to remove weeds!

Description of Work: Jo-Har Lawnscape did clean up of a very large plant bed in back of our house. Very prompt scheduling and excellent work. We would definitely hire this company again.

Description of Work: They did a good job, but the workers went to leave after only being at my house for 1 1/2 hours. I stopped them, they did a little more work then left. Otherwise the work they did was good and it was a good value. I would have been happy if they would have worked the full 2 hours as promised.

Description of Work: Trimmed our bushes back. Two very nice young men came and did work for 2 hours. Trimmed and cleaned up all clippings.

Description of Work: Worst experience ever with a service provider EVER. Had some difficulty getting phone calls returned, not a big deal. Owner came by to see what I wanted to have done, and we agreed on a date/time. We discussed the job in great detail, and he felt that the job was reasonable within the timeframe. I changed the date due to a family funeral, but they showed up at the new date/time. Everything was cool. | |Two young men came to remove some ivy. We had agreed that they would use my ladder; however, they did not have complete directions nor tools. One of them used a screwdriver on my stucco house! One worked, one stood and shook his head. They finished less than 25% of the job when the time was up. | |The next day, the owner phoned me, I immediately called him back. A few minutes later, there was a pounding at my back door - which is in my garage. Kind of disturbing, but let it go. Went outside to show him the problem, he agreed to return my money and would take it up with his staff. Let me know that he gets only 60% of what I paid. I said no harm done, and wanted to terminate the conversation and go into the house. He offered his hand for a handshake - not what I wanted to do, but OK, cannot be rude. Then . . . he came towards me with his arms open wide and insisted on a hug!!!! Ewwwwwwewww. I don't know this man, and I was alone. Very creepy! Said "NO!" "I don't hug strangers and since my recent battle with breast cancer rarely hug anybody!!" | |This man and his company should NOT have access to homes where the woman of the house might be alone. I am not afraid of much, but this guy was really inappropriate and his request for a hug came out of nowhere! My adult son has left him a message on his voicemail over the weekend warning him that any further attempts to contact me would be met with police involvement. | |Please to not send this man to anybody else's house, he's not quite right. | |

Description of Work: They raked and ran the blower to gather leaves from the back yard. It went well.
