Gave us a four-hour window when they would arrive and never called and never showed in the window. When I called the company directly, I was told they "got into a garage and lost track of time. They'll be there within the hour" Completely understandable and the person on the phone was understanding and apologetic. I gave it another hour and 15 minutes and still no show and no call. When I called back again, I was told they could be there in another hour. I rescheduled and they were accommodating to show up on a Saturday to help me and said they would waive any additional maintenance or repair costs. When they showed up, one was complaining and said more than once that they "really don't want to do this" once they figured out what the problem was. After I went inside, they fixed the issue but still charged me an additional $40 for fixing the spring/cables.

Rob and his partner that came out to do the work were very courteous and professional, they got the work done very efficiently, and also provided some maintenance tips for our garage door, as well as information for getting the MyQ app set up. We are extremely happy with the service and the new product, and will most certainly use them again!

When performing maintenance on our garage door opener, it was discovered the door was operating with a broken spring. Columbus Garage Door Co. offered to return the next day to replace the spring. They in fact did return the next day and within 30 min. they had the spring replaced and the door operating without any issues. My only regret was I had asked on the initial visit about replacing the opener since the servicemen had said it had operated under duress because the spring had been broken but they said the repair could last up to a few years since it had been operating with the spring broken. I should have inquired at that time the difference in cost of the repair as opposed to replacing the opener as the replacement would have added approx. $90.00 to the overall cost and I wouldn't need to worry about the length of time the repair may last. Or I wish the servicemen had offered this information. Needless to say I would have opted for the replacement but the opener and garage door are operating fine and I was very pleased with the overall service and the door is operating without issue. I will use the Columbus Garage Door Co. again when I need the garage door serviced or parts replaced. Thank you

The Torsion Springs on one of our garage doors broke unexpectedly. (I guess you never PLAN for these to break....) I needed to find someone to fix this quickly so I looked to Angie's List for a local provider. I saw Columbus Ohio Garage Door had a number of good reviews in my area plus an Angie's List deal, so I called late yesterday afternoon. James was able to get me scheduled for first thing the next morning, which worked well for my schedule. On time, I got a call saying they were on their way. They arrived promptly and got to work. They identified my old spring was probably insufficient for the weight of the door and installed a stronger spring for the replacement. They identified a couple of missing screws and fixed those as well as lubricated the rollers and hinges. The work was done quickly and efficiently and they were polite and professional. I am very pleased with the work they did and recommend them for your garage repair needs.

punctual arrival. rapidly evaluated door function, oiled chain&rollers, then left in a flash. Note: cold weather may have been a factor in the tech's haste that morning. Now I feel my garage door function is secure for a few more years.

It went fine. They were quick on the end and did a nice job. They came the time they said they would come. It was scheduled within a few days of the purchase date. There were no additional costs.

The guys arrived on time and were ready to go right away. They completed the door tune and lube and replaced the roller wheels quickly and politely. Nice job!

Anthony and James called ahead to let me know they were on their way. They arrived on time and introduced themselves and then got right to work. I had 1 spring that was broken but for the offer Columbus Ohio Garage Door Co. had, I decided to go ahead and replace both since they were originally installed 14 years ago. They probably finished the total job in 1/2 hour if not just under that. Afterwards, they tested it and checked other components of the motor and also lubricated all of the other moving components. Then they provided recommendations for me regarding routine maintenance. They were very professional and did an excellent job as well as outstanding customer service.

He did his job what I paid for. He recommended that I replace a piece on the door for 290.00 dollars.I declined.

Excellent service. Gave me tips on how to properly maintain the door, springs, rollers, etc. Did not try to sell me anything I did not need.

Excellent service they came out the same day that I called and right on time. They inspected the garage door and tightened up about 10 loose nuts. Gave me some service tips on what I should do to keep the rollers and bearings in good shape. They replaced the broken springs. Installed the correct gauge spring (old ones were to weak for the size of the garage door) Whoever installed the last replacement set used the wrong ones.

I believe I submitted this evaluation a day or so after his visit and provided his name at that time...I believe it was Robert. He evaluated the door, motor, cables, springs. Lubricated all moving parts and explained the entire process to me as he did these tasks. Informed me of signs to watch for that might indicate a problem developing. I was very appreciative of the focus he placed on the education aspect of his service. He was prompt, professional and personable. I would recommend this company and will call them if needed.

One of the springs on my garage door broke, so I bought the $165 replacement for 2 springs. They called back quickly and scheduled the replacement. They called 30 min ahead to let me know they are coming. Replaced the springs and recommended replacing the rollers (they were really worn out). They also showed me how to preform the regular maintenance. Very happy with their service.

The company was fantastic providing excellent end-to-end customer service. We had a spring snap Sunday afternoon. I called Columbus Ohio Garage Door Monday morning & they were able to schedule me the same day. Scheduler was very friendly, explained the Angie's List deal and even texted me when I missed a call later in the day (to tell me the time frame for the technicians). Robert & John (techs) did an amazing job. They gave a 30-min call ahead which is very appreciated considering my schedule. They arrived on time, were extremely courteous and informative. The install took maybe 30 mins - fastest home repair I'd ever experienced. They explained how it could have happened & how to prevent going forward. They explained the difference between the old springs & new, how long they'd last, etc. This was very helpful as I know nothing of garage door maintenance. The technology to check-out via iPad was not only efficient but convenient & I had my receipt immediately. Considering the rainy/snowy weather conditions today both Robert & John maintained a friendly & upbeat demeanor. I would highly recommend this company & both of the technicians and I will definitely use again the future.

On 2/3 had problems with our garage door not opening more than a foot. A spring had broken. Started to make a few calls to get prices to get the spring replaced. Found Columbus Ohio Garage Doors on Angie's List. I didn't call them until late in the afternoon. The lady I talked to was very pleasant. They had the best price. And they were able to get me scheduled for the next day between 2-4. I was thrilled they could get me on the schedule for the next day. And the 2 hour window is better than 4-5 hour window I get from most places. Two repairmen showed up the next day within the scheduled time. I believe they were there at 3. I don't know how many times I have received calls for other service calls that they will be late or can't make it. They were pleasant and polite. They made sure their shoes were clean before cutting through the house to get to the garage. It took them about 30 minutes to do the repair. They explained what should be lubricated to extend the life of the springs and garage door. I will use them in the future for any other garage door needs.

I called first thing in the morning and was able to make a same-day appointment. After discussing my situation I believed I needed a complete conversion to a spring system and the cost was going to be $275. I called around and other estimates came in higher or the same cost BUT didn't have the lifetime warranty. I received a phone call to let me know the technician was on the way and would be right on time for my appointment. Once Robert arrived, he decided I didn't need a conversion after all. I needed a new spring and the cost would be $165. After Robert completed the repair, he showed me the broken part. I appreciated him educating me on what to look for and proper maintenance. I'd have this company back again for any of my garage door needs.

It went great! Anthony was extremely nice, polite and was very helpful. He wanted me to know exactly what he was doing in terms of greasing the areas for a smoother operating process and well as the programming part of the opener. I would highly recommend him to anyone I know who needs a tune up or repair work done.

Purchased a coupon for preventative maintenance to be performed on a 5 year old garage door opener (Genie). A few days before the service was to be performed, our garage door opener began malfunctioning; so when COGDC arrived they were able to replace our old garage door opener with a newer one plus they serviced my 3rd car garage door opener for the coupon. The price we paid plus labor to have it replaced was very reasonable! The technicians, Robert and Anthony were very nice and replaced the garage door opener in about an hour even though they thought it was just a service callI they were willing to replace the older unit. I would highly recommend them!

There are some things in life that are so fundamentally important that we don't even think about them: turning on the faucet and getting water, flipping a switch and getting light and, of course, hitting the garage door opener and having the garage door go up or down. When the latter happens, you realize how desperately important it is to have a car! This morning, I went to open the garage door ? and there was nothing. No hum of the motor and no rumble of my beastly 50 year old door all wood garage rising as I'd come to expect. After searching Angie's list I called Columbus Ohio Garage Door and was able to have them come out that day. With a few bumps, a nudge, a lot of spring adjustments and copious quantities of WD-40, my door was back in working order. If only everything in life was this easy to fix!
