We had many household items returned to us in very poor condition. We had several items that were never returned to us. When we called regarding the missing items we were told they would check it out and get back to us. As of this date (Oct 3, 2012) we have not heard back from Serv Pro.
Description of Work: Serve pro returned our belongings they had packed up in March 2012 after we had a fire.

The packing crew was great. Since all of the items were removed from our home we have had very little cooperation from Servepro
Description of Work: We were very happy with the women that came to our home and packed up our belongings. However the man in the office has beenvery un-coopertative when we try to find out the status of our household items. We had quite a few antiques and would like to know thecondition of those items. We have tried several times to get some answers but so far have no answers.

When the people actually showed up, their work was fine. I found the servicing employees to be nice and, they knew their job. The problem was clearly the office administration. There were a lot of potential customers all of a sudden due to the rain but, at some point they needed to stop taking new customers and actually service the current ones. How they expected us to live in the house with wet, smelly carpet for a week is beyond me, especially since (and they asked as part of their contract form) they new we had a lung cancer survivor with COPD in the house. If I had not been capable of doing the tear out myself, I don't know what we would have done. The fact that they clearly forgot that we had the dehumidifiers in the house (I was told that the office was a mess and no file was set up for us). When they called to asked for the balance due, I was angry, I felt they had not earned the money they made me pay in advance (their policy when it is not an insurance claim, 50% up front). They emailed an itemized billing as I requested and we went back and forth on the charges. They did take some items off. I guess we struck a good balance because in the end, I think we both felt cheated. The last email was all in capitol letters, full of misspelling and text speak and, demanded that they come to my house to pick up the check. I told them it was going out in the mail, which it did, that day. I still have no receipt.
Description of Work: We had 6" of standing water in the basement due to unusually heavy rain, it had come in through the floor drain. I called the company while we were filling up with water, they said they would get to me. They arrived at about 9:30 the next morning. We had gotten they standing water out ourselves with the help of a borrowed sump pump by then. They surveyed the job and I signed a contract for them to remove all the flooring (some carpet, some vinyl tile), manipulate the furniture and save what they could of the furniture. The 3 women began their work. They placed all the furniture on blocks, wet vaced the carpet and, began removing the carpet. They set up 2 large dehumidifiers to help dry things out (no fans because mold was found). They left after about 3 hours because I had a Dr.'s appointment. They said they would call and tell me when they would return the next day. They did not show up again for 1 week. I called everyday for a couple days to be told that the girls should not have said they would be back the next day, the company was too busy "triaging" other customers to get back to be yet. The carpet smelled rank so, I began doing the work myself. By the time they showed up again, all the carpet was gone as was the tile. We had also disposed of many water damaged things, including 2 couches and some other furniture. The girls checked the moisture levels around the basement and the dehumidifiers and left. The company came 3 other times to make these checks, pulling the equipment on 5/5/11. We wasted 2 days making sure someone was home for these checks and no one came. When I called about it, it was clear they had forgotten about us. One worker admitted they thought the job had been finished.

ServPro water restoration expertise phoned me Friday at 6PM to schedule service 10AM Saturday. At 10:15PM Friday, Chris woke me to announce that he had to reschedule only to say he did not know? He could phone me at 9AM Saturday to inform me of the same thing! Saturday, 2 men brought 4 fans and 1 dehumidifier. They did not direct fan into the bedroom where the greatest mold infestation is. They did not examine that room for moisture. I had not realized there was a wet floor in that room. They accepted only what I reported and did not explore for themselves. Chris was absorbed with having me sign contracts. The other man did the work, Chris merely wrote out papers. Instead of searching thoroughly for moisture inside the closets and floor of the office, they walked in the assistant did not even look at me, began unplugging the machines, and stated that they were off the job. A letter Chris said explained everything. The house was still wet. Get another service.
Description of Work: Brought 4 fans and dehumidifier to dry out floors, walls and ceiling damaged by burst pipe in ceiling.

THIS COMPANY DID A VERY POOR JOB CLEANING THE ITEMS. THEY HAVE NOT RETURNED $3500 WORTH OF MY BELONGINGS. THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS AND NOW THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY INSURANCE AGENTS CALLS. I WOULD LIKE MY BELONGINGS BACK.
Description of Work: THEY CLEANED OUR ENTERTAINMENT ELECTRONICS AND SIMILAR ITEMS AFTER A FIRE. THEY CLEANED SPECIALTY DISHES, DOLLS, AND GLASSWARE. THEY CLEANED THE COMPUTERS, CLOCKS, CD AND DVD PLAYERS AND THE RECORD PLAYER.
