Description of Work: They dried out my house after our dishwasher broke. More importantly they provided me with insight as to what the final repair bills would cost and prevented me from being ripped off by my insurance company.

The first leak was on 2-26-13 thru the attic door on my new bamboo kitchen floor....the following day commercial roofing came out with a temporary fix....still leaking...ask Paul Davis project manager to send someone else to fix roof.....4/12 they sent another person out to fix leak again....4/29 a worker from Paul Davis started removing shingles ..he stated there was no tar-paper under the shingles he removed....we worry that more tar-paper is missing....also flashing was missing under shingles....5/31 came home found another leak...this time coming thru bathroom ceiling light/vent....called project manager next morning...he called his roofer....he wasn't available till next Wednesday.....roofer said the project manager would call another person to fix roof....he didn't call us back.....my husband called the project manager again didn't return call.....my husband had to cover roof vent that was leaking himself.....called insurance adjuster he came out on Tuesday to look at leak...then he informed us someone was coming out Wednesday....Wednesday morning roofer and project manger came out for the fourth time to repair leak on roof. ..the roofer said he was placing 6 shingles and using bigger nails...found later he used 16 penny nails in shingles.....project manager ask the roofer how often he finds tarpaper missing from other roofs he works on, he replied quite often....we don't believe that statement is true.....after 4 Band-Aid fixes some of the sheeting from inside the attic looks like Swiss-cheese.....we had an certified roofing inspection done.....he found a lot of items not done correctly and some of sheeting should be replaced.....in addition ,he used a infra-red camera that showed 3 slow leaks, where roof meets.... In addition we need to add the attitude of the owner of the company my husband had called to inform him of the workmanship and asked him to came out and see what has been done his replied to my husband was that project manager has informed him of everything and he replied "the work was done last fall'' and then said, " THIS IS JUST WATER UNDER THE BRIDGE." the leaks started 6 months after the roof was installed. WHAT A THING FOR AN OWNER TOO SAY!!!! Update: The company did not file a claim with the insurance company. We actually had to contact the insurance company ourself to make a claim. I am also having to have another company come out and check in our attic and home for mold damage.We eventually had to hire another company that has been in business for 40 years to completely tear off the work and put a new roof on. While they were doing that they found a 34ft by 1ft section that didn't have any tar paper where Paul Davis did the original roof. Also to clarify, we ended up not calling them any further regarding leaks not that all of the leaks were taken care of because I got sick of letting them know every time there was a leak when it would rain.
Description of Work: We had straight winds go thru 6/29/12 and 7/1/12 with a tree landing on second story roof. contacted paul davis restoration of Dayton.the job was sub-contracted out to commercial roofing...service was delayed several weeks....workers unprofessional....in fact 6 month after the roof was installed we started having leaks....they have been out 4 times doing Band-Aid fixes.....we would not recommend this company to any of our friends or any body else

As we have expressed to the (member name removed) on several occasions, we apologize for any inconvenience our work product may have caused the homeowners. Paul Davis Restoration did install a roof for Mr. and Mrs. (member name removed) in late summer 2012. We did respond to a report of a leak in February, 2013 and found an issue with a missing flashing. We corrected the problem when the weather allowed. We filed a claim for the interior damage for Mr. and Mrs. (member name removed) for the interior water damage caused by the flashing issue. Mr. and Mrs. (member name removed) were compensated for the interior damage. In late April 2013 we were contacted about another roof leak. We addressed the problem by replacing about six shingles that showed signs of fastener back out. (fastener back out is nails backing out of the roof decking and penetrating the overlying shingle) Our repairman indicated the fasteners were backing out in part due to "excessive foot traffic." A second roofing contractor has since inspected the roof, and cited "excessive foot traffic" as the cause of the leak problems. Our last phone conversation with Mr. (member name removed) verified no further leaks have occurred.
