The service went very poorly. I had to call them back several times.

Sid Large showed up late for the initial evaluation. My wife walked around the yard (which is very small) pointing out all of the things she would like done. He agreed to do all of it. He provided a written estimate which only listed certain things, not all of what he had verbally agreed to do. Price was $450, which was much higher than we anticipated, but we accepted it on the assumption that they would take great care and detail with the lawn as promised by Sid. He seemed trustworthy and we are trusting people. Sid's crew showed up more than an hour late. The crew consisted of Sid's wife and son, who were pleasant but had not been given the full list of what was to be done, only what was on the estimate. The work was of average quality. They did most the items on their list in about 1.5 hours. The work was not thorough and detailed as the cost lead us to anticipate. Examples - 1) pulled the English ivy off of the redbud tree, but not completely - left some vines; 2) pulled some weeds from the beds, but not all - left some large dandelions which I had to directly instruct them to pull; 3) did not pull the English ivy from the back fence until I pointed it out and asked them to do it; 4) trimmed most of the dead stuff from the two trees in the front yard - Sid did this when he showed up later. However, he did not bring the correct equipment to trim a large dead branch near the top of one of the trees. He said he could reach it if I let him back his truck up in the yard, which I refused. I got him a stepladder instead, but he couldn;t reach the branch. Later he claimed to my wife that I had prevented him from reaching the branch by not allowing him to drive his truck onto our lawn - but the stepladder got him at least a foot higher off the ground than the truck bed would have. I asked Sid why he wasn't mowing the lawn (which is 40 feet by 35 feet). He said we didn't specify that in our contract. I said I kind of assumed they would do the lawn considering they are a lawncare company and also considering the $450 price. He said 'OK, I'll get a crew out here Tuesday' (this was a Saturday), but they never showed up. This was overall a very poor experience - overpriced and unprofessional. PLEASE DO NOT HIRE SID'S LAWNCARE! You'll regret it.
