I contracted for the work in the fall, but we decided mutually to wait until the following spring to complete the job. The carpenter was meticulous in his work - everything was done perfectly; I even added some work to the job at the last minute, which the carpenter and manager incorporated without complaint, and the additional cost was very reasonable. The paint match (the original paint was about 3 years old) was absolutely stellar!

Within 48 hours of my initial call, Bud the salesman came to my house to give me an estimate. He was very professional and courteous, and asked lots of questions to make sure he knew exactly what I wanted. The two men who installed the siding were very thorough and often checked with me to make sure I approved of their work. The job took a few days longer than originally estimated, but only because they took the time to do it right.

They were very friendly when they were there working for me. They were very professional about the job. They had showed up on time to do the work for me.

Randy the VP for the company was outstanding. Detailed estimates, had a great follow through and was very helpful with a few change orders we had for the job. Randy was excellent with communicating the status of the project and was on target with all our deadlines. The workmanship was outstanding and the men were very helpful with making a few changes to the project.

First I had called another company and was told I would get a return call in a few minuters. After my third call I found out the service person was on vacation so I went to Angie's List and found Newlook Siding. I called and they had someone out within a day. The man who worked on our house brought a ladder went up on the roof and got busy. I was so sorry I never got to speak to him because he left after the job was done. I wanted to tell him how happy I was with his work. I could tell he was a animal lover too. Our 5 dogs were outside and the service man (from the roof) would whistle to get there attention. Most of them could not figure out were the noise was coming from. It was very entertaining!!!

After one phone call and on the same day, Nick, the owner, came and gave us an estimate for covering our exhaust system ducts on the outside of our building. Birds were getting into the ducts and making nests. Nick created covers for the ducts and installed them within the week. When he was here giving the estimate, we asked about our gutters and wondered why we had a leaking problem. Nick pointed out that it wasn't the gutters at all and that the overhang on the building was causing the problem; not leaking but dripping. He suggested several ways to alleviate the problem. One of his suggestions was putting in a French drainage system around the sides of the building. Nick gave us an estimate for it, we agreed on a price, and work was started the following week. We were impressed with the detail and the neatness. There were two workers who dug 4 inches down and 18 inches across on three sides of the building and laid landscaping fabric, landscape edging and stones. They had to move some plant material and were careful to replant. They hauled the dirt off to areas we marked and seeded and put down straw. Nick suggested putting in landscaping stones to create a small flower bed in the front of the building and filling with the leftover topsoil that he had delivered, highlighting the climbing hydrangea. It looks great! Nick even came back out a couple days later and replaced an outdoor faucet knob that he noticed was broken. We were very happy with the service.

They were very professional for the estimate. They brought samples of windows so we could see what we were getting. They took us through the different types of siding. The gentleman who did the sale came out while the workers were here to make sure the job was going well. Also came back after it was finished to make sure we were completely happy. We asked for a few quick fixes - which they took care of. We would definitely recommend them.

The services was good, had a short delay due to loosing contract but that was no big deal.

It went very well. We were partially residing the house to eliminate some unattractive plastic brick that the previous owners had installed on the wall of the front porch. Newlook was able to match the probably 35-year-old siding so well that you have to be standing next to it and know what you are looking for to tell that the siding is not original. We also appreciated their professionalism. I came home to find that Ron the installer had finished the job and was picking up the few remaining aluminum shavings from the porch with tweezers!

They gave me two quotes and both were substantially less than the larger company who installed the siding in the first place. They came out when they said they would and provided the quote by mail, then sent an invoice when the work was completed. This was a small job so not a lot of personal interaction but I would definitely use them again.

I had an excellent experience from the salesman all the way through to the end of the job with some minor follow ups. I was not happy with the quality of the original regular price samples so the salesman quickly came back with higher quality molded siding to look like shake shingles. The price was higher but I like the feel and look much better. The installation went as planned except for minor weather delays. I would suggest this company to anyone and I got an Angie's List discount besides....

The owner was very helpful and the person that did the work was outstanding.

Great experience overall. A bit pricey but they were the only company that could meet our color needs. Took great care in approaching the job. Workers were a little sloppy during the job but cleaned up pretty well when they were done. Of particular note, my wife was throwing a surprise birthday party for me while the job was in progress. NewLook was using our deck to store material. My wife asked them if they could move the material so we could use the deck for the party. They actually came out and took everything with them and brought it back after the party was over. Clearly went above and beyond here!

A two-man crew removed and disposed of the 20-year old windows, before installing replacements. The interior molding was, at first, reused, but several of the pieces were damaged during removal and re-installation. After we complained of the their appearance, the crew worked part of a third day to replace the damaged molding. We were happy with the work that was done and enjoyed having this crew on the job.

A little more time was needed to complete the work than was first anticipated. Some damage to the shrubbery in front of the house occurred during removal of the old roofing materials, but it was minor. At one corner of the house, a leak developed during a heavy rainstorm after the work was first completed. The leak was promptly repaired with the addition of some extra flashing. A very small area over a bay window had to be redone, when the underlying structure, installed by the original builder, was found to be inadequate to support a good roof line. Newlook removed the first roofing they had installed and replaced the sheeting, adding additional support members, before roofing the area again. Several lengths of the drip edge had to be redone when it was pierced in several places by nails that missed the wood along the fascia. Three other parts of the drip edge were reinstalled when we complained about sloppy miter joints. Newlook corrected all the issues we pointed out to them.

They were very professional and cleaned up well after the work was performed. They took all the debris away and left the house looking good. I'm very pleased with their work.

I had another contractor working on the house and they worked well in coordinating schedules. The house is a good sized ranch, so the amount of soffit and fascia needed resulted in the high cost. The salesman was very responsive and helpful. The finished job is very good, however their clean up was not the best, leaving scraps of vinyl siding and nails in the landscape around the house and in the driveway.There were a few other issues that were resolved to my satisfaction. The first issue involved the workers coming up short with needed materials and leaving a large opening in the ceiling of a porch over the weekend that exposed it to unwelcome visitors (mice, bats, raccoons). I complained and they returned the following day with the needed materials and finished the work. The second issue involved a sub-contractor they hired to screen in a porch. Bud followed up with the sub-contractor and resolved the issue. I will file another report on that company (Patio Room Factory).

The change has been most satisfying. Before starting the job, we specified details in the contract, which Newlook gladly accommodated, and then they promised to send us their best crew. Steve and Lance fulfilled that promise. They worked during some of the summer's hottest days, yet always took care of fine details, particularly around some spots (electrical box or furnace exhaust pipes) that would not allow simple cuts. Always a pleasure to talk to, they appeared to enjoy their work, and the results are certainly something they can be proud of. Neighbors, who at first wondered why the job took over two weeks, were impressed when they learned just two guys did the whole thing--and they liked the new look of the house, too.

Let me just say that I was looking at Newlook because of their high rating. I have had nothing but pleasant experiences using Angie's List multiple times (windows,skylights,fencing and custom blinds). I called 3 times over a 2 week span for someone to stop out before I finally got to talk to Walt. When I did talk to him finally on the 3rd call he told me well I might be out in a week or so, I'm busy. Are you kidding me! I had to pin him down for a day. He left a card with my wife but no estimate. It has been 2 weeks and no info,calls or estimate. I shouldn't have to chase down the company to do a job. I called a couple of contractors on Angie's List that weren't rated as high and they were out and sent me estimates within 3 - 5 business days and have since called for follow-up.

Estimate process was very good and work to be completed was described with good detail. After getting estimates from five different companies I felt most comfortable with Newlook Sidings due to professionalism and price. Setting up a time was a little difficult between restrictions that I had and constraints of the contractor. Work was done over the course of four days and not in consecutive order, which was a little surprising given how little work needed to be done. They neglected to replace one piece of trim which they removed and required an extra visit. Although the work was not completed as quickly as hoped, the quality of the work done was very high and any complaints were handled with professionalism and diligence. Overall I would recommend Newlook Sidings for this type of work.

NICK CAME OUT SEVERAL TIMES AND WORKED WITH US TO PICK OUT JUST THE RIGHT TYPE OF SIDING AND COLOR WE WERE LOOKING FOR. CREW THAT PERFORMED THE WORK WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY AND ALWAYS CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. AFTER WORK WAS COMPLETED WE HAD A COUPLE THINGS WE WANTED CHANGED AND NICK AND THE CREW CAME OUT UNTIL WE WERE HAPPY. HOUSE LOOKS REALLY GOOD AND WE WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NEW LOOK SIDING TO ANYONE. WE GIVE THEM AN A+

Walt Wynn, from NEWLOOK, provided a free written estimate for repair. We moved forward with the estimate from NEWLOOK and got on their schedule, which was 2-3 weeks in the future. I asked that NEWLOOK call me the day before the work would be performed, so I could have the materials ready. A representative from NEWLOOK called the evening before and was at our home at 8 the next morning. He did a great job attaching the siding back to our house and was able to work with the pieces of siding we provided. The bill we got was exactly what we were quoted. I would recommend NEWLOOK.

Newlook did a very good job. Good estimate process and they worked with our insurance company to go over details. Only comments could be on day of work. We received only a 1/2 hour notice before they started work in the morning. Since we didn't have any time to think about (or ask anyone about) preparation for the work, it would have been nice for them to tell us that removing items from walls and shelves would be helpful. When we returned home from work that day, there were ceramics and crystal vases on the floor, fallen from a shelf on the wall where they pounded. (Fortunately, the items fell onto carpet so were unbroken.) It also would have been nice to have at least one English-speaking worker on site to discuss project detail. Even with these comments, we would hire them again. They did a good job, were very polite, and provided good clean-up.

The estimate was prompt and complete. Once our job was scheduled, workers showed up on time and even though the job took several days, the work was high quality. The workmen picked up every day and when they were finished, there was really no trace. We were very pleased with the quality of the work and their professionalism. Initially, the garage door trim was overlooked; since it was included in the estimate, we called and they were very prompt in getting it completed.

The first day (Thurs.), not so well. One crewman brought his son for take your child to work day. Since I did not sign a contract to have a minor work on my house, I called my salesman and the situation was resolved. Work did not begin in earnest until Monday. From then on the 3-man crew showed up everyday at 8am and worked until 430pm. The siding was finished on Fri. Gutter crew was delayed 2 weeks, but they were quite efficient and finished in a day. One guy even had a diverter I could use with my rainbarrel and came back to install it. There was yet another crew who put in the leaf relief mesh.
