Everything went fine. Was a small job.

Around our back patio, we were having water problems: rain water coming behind gutter and down the outside of the siding, collecting on the patio near the foundation because the patio was cracked and not inclined to the yard, and causing rotted woodwork in the sill plate and bandboard. Before we started on the numerous repair projects, Nick came out to advise, and he helped by removing the lower panels of siding on either side of our sliding door, thereby getting the siding out of the way for replacing the woodwork, the patio, and the sliding door (a more elective project under the circumstances). Nick also provided us with material for a moisture barrier to go over the new woodwork. Once the other jobs were complete, Lance, one of the installers of our siding when we first had it put up by Newlook, came out to cut and fit the panels and new j-channel, finishing in one afternoon. As before, no mess left behind, and a nice looking job.

From initial phone contact to quote to work done, this was a positive experience. The person who took my call for a quote understood what I wanted and was very pleasant. Mr. Weidner, who did the quote, seems to know everything about construction but doesn't act like a know-it-all. He was so helpful in explaining what needed (AND WHAT DIDN'T NEED) to be done. I am construction ignorant and he patiently went over the quote three different times, making sure I understood as I learned a new vocabulary. Lance, who did the metal work, is very skilled and the work looks great. The gutters are properly sloped and the leaf guards are working well.

As stated above, I could not have been happier with the work done. All of the workmen were very diligent - they rarely took breaks and finished the job in short time for what was required.

This was the second time we've used Newlook Sidings for repairs to our siding. The vinyl siding tends to come loose during strong wind storms and the first time we used them was at the recommendation of the home warranty service. This time we called them back to secure more pieces that had come loose near the areas they worked last time. (They weren't the same pieces though.) The first time, it was sort of difficult to get a hold of the representative to get the crews scheduled to do work and so on. But the work was done well and the price seemed okay. So I chalked it up to maybe it was just that rep. Unfortunately, I had even more difficulty when I called about a year later for this latest repair job. When you call to schedule an estimate or services, the receptionist doesn't actually schedule anything. You get forwarded to the sales rep or get told that he will call you back. When I called to schedule the estimate, I was told someone would come right out. The rep didn't actually come out until a couple days later. He seemed friendly enough and took all the measurements and photos and again the price seemed right. He gave me a price and I said okay, and he said they'll get it set up. I figured that meant I'd get a call within the next day or so with a confirmation of when the work could be done. I didn't hear anything for a week. So I called to schedule and was told a crew would be out there at the end of the week. That time frame came and went. I called again. They said they would be out the next morning and that the rep would run the supplies over to one of his crew who was working/lived in the area. The next day came and I waited for hours. In the late afternoon I called again wondering where the crew was. Apparently they had forgotten to get the supplies to the crew but they would do that now. The crew finally showed up after 5pm. They did the repairs and left without telling us they were done so we could go see the work. But the work seemed fine. So, in all it wasn't the worst experience as the price was right and the work was solid. But it was such a hassle trying to get them organized to come out and do the job. I definitely didn't feel like they cared much (although I will say that the receptionist was nice and understanding--so I don't place any blame on her). I just don't like having my time wasted for no reason---if they're overbooked or there's some other problem, just call me and let me know. I'll be looking for a more responsive and organized company next time.

The overall experience was GREAT!! Nick Weidner interviewed us to determine what our needs and concerns were. He provided us with honest feedback and the best way to proceed with our project. Ed & Spence performed quality workmanship and gave us excellent customer service. We will definitely use this company in the future, as well as recommed them to our friends and neighbors. Thank you for a job well done.

Great experience from beginning to end. The owner is very laid back and said "Don't worry! No problem!" (the other companies were freaking me out) and gave us two bids to cover just repairs or also replacing the rest of the siding for the side of the house. Both bids were under those of the other companies we called, and he was able to fit us in faster, too. The company employees are extremely professional and very friendly, they carefully but quickly got the job done, and went the extra distance to make sure the work was completed in the best manner possible. The work was behind several thorn bushes, but they just laughed it off and said "no big deal!" Very tidy, cleaned up every scrap, didn't get paint on the ground or bushes. The work they did matches beautifully and no one can tell the difference. I completely recommend New Look and will be calling them when we need more siding work done!

It felt like our project was being treated as somebody's side job from the start. Work was ususally started at the end of the day on the person's way home from work or on the weekend. The month was rainy so it was hard to find time when it wasn't raining for the work to be done. By April 28th, the work was completed except for the caulking and since it had started to rain, it couldn't be done at that time. He said he would come back and finish. On April 29th, an invoice for the full amount was sent. I called on May 4th to let them know the work was not complete and what still needed to be done. I offered to pay 50% and the balance when the work was complete but was told to not pay the invoice until the work was completed. On June 6th I received a past due invoice and yet the caulking still had not been completed. This time, I sent an email to Newlook. I was told that the person who performed the work died unexpectedly and they would send somebody out by the end of the week. I paid 50% of the invoice since some of the work had been done and requested they contact me when the work was completed and I'd then send the final payment. Close to the 4th of July weekend, I received a call on a Thursday from Newlook stating they would be out that day or on Friday. I have not received any notice that the work has actually been completed. However, I received a demand notice from Newlook stating that if payment is not made by 7-30-2011, it would be sent to collections. The demand invoicde did not even reflect the payment that had been made. This is the worst experience I've ever had using a company on Angie's list. I have no confidence in the work that was performed and will probably hire an inspector to review the quality of their work.

This was a large project for me, with a lot of moving parts. Randy, Vince and Danielsin from NewLook did a fantastic job working with a homeowner with a lot of requirements (detailing) that were probably not part of their normal fiber cement siding installations. Vince did a good job of listening to what I wanted done, taking elevation drawings into account for guidance, and stayed in touch with me (as did the actual on site team led by Danielsin) if any questions came up. The further into the job we got, the more I relaxed about the details - these guys are interested in making it look right, and their idea of what would look good usually aligned very closely to my me and my wife's ideas. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results, and especially with the craftsmanship of Danielsin and his team. All their lines are straight, seams are well hidden, butt joints are tight. Fiber cement takes carpentry skills and these guys didn't miss any cuts, and the ones they did, they replaced. Their work, along with detail design work by my father transformed the house, and recaptured some of the character that was hidden under the a layer of aluminum. I doubt that the cost of this work will be recaptured in the resale price of my home anytime soon, but that wasn't the point. To us, it was worth it. One tangible benefit is the tightness of the house - I suspect the Tyvek wrap is responsible for that. The material itself is holding up fine in the two winters it has gone through. At least two other homeowners in our neighborhood have or are considering similar projects using our house, and NewLook's work, as inspiration. We had some misunderstandings during the process (I made changes, they ordered some incorrect detail products, we completely missed one another on what to do with the window sills), but I would have been surprised if there hadn't been. NewLook was professional about resolving them. I can't speak to the work that NewLook's other teams produce, but this particular fiber cement team was excellent.

The president of the company came to my residence and did a complete walk through and listened to everything I wanted to have done. I was interested in having all of the exterior wood on my house covered in aluminum to make it maintenance free, installation of double hung windows, replacement of post on porch, and installation of new patio doors. Also new shutters, and decorative treatments to windows. He was extremely nice and patient and explained all of my options. He prepared a detailed estimate of costs and time to complete the project. Two teams came to my house, first the siding team that did all repairs to my siding and installed the aluminum coverings for the wood. They were polite, careful, worked very hard, and left the house in perfect order. Next the window and door team came and installed windows and door. Again, they were extremely polite, careful, thorough and did a beautiful job. The house looked brand new and was left very clean and neat. The president of the company followed up with a full inspection of all work completed. It was wonderful.

Mr. Weidner arrived for our appointment on time and well-prepared! He went into great detail explaining the different options for my house. He patiently explained the different choices of materials and processes. He brought many different material and color samples and was very organized in presenting them; he didn't need to make a big mess spreading them out everywhere! I appreciated the fact that he did not do any hard sell (car salesman) techniques! He was clearly very knowledgeable about his business and was very professional. While I don't know yet if I'll be able to do the project, I would certainly trust Mr. Weidner's company to transform my house!

Representative from the company came out and looked at the problem and provided an estimate. He identified what the problem was an a solution with the estimated cost. He indicated he would return in a few days with another piece of siding that would replace the piece that was falling off the house. A crew returned in a few days and replaced the siding.

They listen well and work hard to please the customer. When they make a mistake they own up to it and correct it.

Vince the salesman was excellent. Knowledgable and patient. Works with the customer for what they want. The owner is involved & oversees the work. Work crew did excellent work. No subs used! I have waited to see how this siding job would hold up before doing this report and it still looks perfect. Crane premium products were used. I would recommend this company for your siding needs. I love how my house turned out!

The work performed went really well. The people were really easy to work with. I had some delays post installation contacting people and getting callbacks which I believe was attributed to people taking time off during the holidays period.. Overall I am very satisfied with the work and will do business again with them..

Scheduling got delayed couple of times, but once they got started they did great work. Lance and Steve paid extra attention to not only the siding but the gutters cleaned out thoroughly before being put back up. Fantastic job.

It went well and after the work was completed it looked exactly like wood replacements that I wanted even though now I never have to paint it again. Before the shutters and wood panel were in bad shape but I did not want aluminum. Gary was the salesperson and he went out of his way to get what I wanted. Ed was the person who came out to do the installation and I was very pleased with his work.

Newlook Siding had done work for us a year ago when they replaced all of the cedar siding on our house. They did an outstanding job at that time. We had recently had some roof problems and, knowing that they also did roof repair, we hired them. Their super ?fit and finish? guys came out and did repair jobs on the flashing and valleys, installed additional soffit vents, and replaced a leaky ridge vent with higher performance material. Newlook Siding workers are highly skilled and do excellent work. I recommend them to homeowners wanting a professional job done.

They were timely in coming out and making their presentation. They were very pleasant, but I decided to go with another company that my friends had used and were happy with. Newlook Sidings was very good, but their estimate was high.

They have proved to be an excellent resource for us. Sometimes it takes a little long that the specified time. It is because they work at many other places and it is not an issue with me.

They were very thorough and honest. They came when they were expected. Their price seemed to be comparable to other companies we looked into. We have not decided yet who we will use.

The sales rep, Bud Shannon, was not pushy but in fact very educational on the siding we were interested in. We thought we wanted vinyl siding with insulation backing but through his education we decided to have instulation attached to the existing exterior, minus the aluminum siding, before installing the new dutchlap vinyl siding. The didn't remove the existing wood soffit but put vented aluminum soffits over the existing soffits and installed new gutters. The work started when stated but due to weather conditions it went beyond the original timeframe given. The two employees performing the job were meticulous in their workmanship. We couldn't be more pleased and would definitely reccommend this company.

I called on Wed and rep was to look at the job for estimate that evening, he was going to call back afterwards with how it looked and quote. I did not hear back and made 2 additional calls to get quote. We then talked and I was scheduled for next day. I went to check on the property at end of the day it was to be completed and nothing was done and no phone call informing me of the delay. I called the office and they did not have information of the job being scheduled. They did call me the following work day Monday and said they would take care of it that day. They did and the work was fine. Only complaint about the work was that I would suggest they wiped the area down after completing since it was very smudged up.

The workers are great. They were on time and cleaned up well after themselves.

Pretty well. Somehow we got a crack in one piece of our siding with about quarter sized holes at either end of the crack. Our siding has been discontinued by the manufacturer. We called a couple of companies for quotes and their opinions regarding our options. They were the second company that we contacted and, when we first spoke with them, they thought that they might have a piece of our color siding that they had saved from a prior job. It turned out that the piece they had was a different color so we went with swapping two existing pieces on our house. I had asked them to come out as soon as possible so that rain wouldn't get behind the siding and it took them a few more days than I originally understood that it would take. The repair looks pretty good on the cracked piece and, overall, we are satisfied with how things turned out.
