 + -1 moreTim Michael arrived promptly and was able to provide an assessment of the damage to the HDMI port and also checked for additional damage. He provided a written estimate for repair as well as practical and honest advice about the damage incurred as a result of lightning strike. His charge for a house call was 60.00 which I considered quite reasonable especially since he was here on the weekend. His estimate for parts and labor for repair was 450.00. I found him to be professional, knowledgeable, very easy to understand and a very nice man. I would hire him again.
Description of Work: I have a 50 inch LG HD Smart TV that had HDMI port damage from a lightning strike. Tim Michael came to our house on a Saturday afternoon to assess the damage and provide an estimate for repair.

 + -1 moreTelephone conversation went poorly. I had to ask if I had called correctly. After explaining the problem he seemed to have little knowledge about it and wanted $75 just to look at TV and refused to provide any kind of estimated cost to repair.
Description of Work: Samsung LSD 1080p HD TV cold startup problems (capacitor replacement). Noted from many on "internet" as a common situation.

 + -1 moreTim was amazing! Not only did he take his time, he was meticulous in making sure the problem was JUST the power supply. He ordered the part (but also ordered the main and t-com boards as a just in case, on his dime) and got it back to our television within a week! He came to our house on a Saturday!!! Hopefully we won't need him again, but if one of our televions decides not to work, we'll be calling him!!!
Description of Work: Diagnosed a power supply issue with our flatscreen television.
