Excellent! Very honest and did not try and oversell me.

It’s an automatic garage door opener, an older Craftsman. It would open but it wouldn't close. He gave me a price to either upgrade it, fix certain parts, like a main board or to get a new one.

This was a very well done service. I waited three months to make sure everything was still good to go, and it still is. While they were not the cheapest company around of the quotes I received, I thought that they were the most professional and friendly, which I thought was worth the extra money.

My garage door wouldn't open on Sunday night. I researched garage door repair companies and chose to call Potter. I called Potter Overhead Door the first thing Monday morning. The lady I spoke with was very knowledgeable. She asked appropriate questions to determine what my problem was before giving me a quote. She was very friendly and was able to give me an appointment for that morning. The serviceman, Jim, was on time for the appointment. He checked out my door and found that my spring had broke as well as needing a stabilizer bar. I was given a new quote before any work was done. He was very professional and polite. He showed me what needed to be done and answered all of my questions. The work was done quickly. He had everything he needed in his truck. He even made some adjustments to my garage door opener so that it opened and closed better. He lubricated all the hinges and rollers. He made sure his work area was cleaned up before he left. I was very impressed with this company from my first encounter when calling them to my last encounter with Jim leaving. I would definitely use this company again.

They did excellent work and returned a week later to finish up the trim because they did not have what they thought would look best on hand at the time. They were prompt and took care of everything as promised. Our situation was not the norm as we did have additional work due to removing the build out.

How many service providers would ask questions about your problem and give you possible solutions over the phone WITHOUT A SERVICE CALL? Most would have just taken my address, driven here, pushed the GFI (that was my problem, but that's a whole nother story!) and charged me a $90 service call. Thanks Potter! When I DO need service you'll be the one I call (again).

Potter Overhead Doors didn't do the normal thing of "I can't install that" because you didn't buy it for me or that crap. They were very good. It was top notch. I went to their showroom and they waited on me right away and showed me what the possibilities were.

Individual (I think it was John or Bob?) was able to come out and replace the next day, a Saturday. Arrived on time and replaced in approximately 1 1/2 hours. Individual was courteous, friendly, and explained why both springs should be replaced. He also performed extra maintainance on the door, i.e. oiled the rollers on the door. In fact, the door is noticeably quieter when opening and closing.

I give them a A+. My garage remote was stolen. I called mid morning and they were here mid afternoon. They were fast and efficient. I hightly recommend this service.

Called, made appt that was convenient for me. They called 1/2 hr prior to arrival. Replaced both cables for the garage door, in a timely manner, leveled garage door, and explained what maintenance needs to be performed yearly to prevent further issues. Very pleased with this company.

I called three providers before choosing Potter. Kelly, on the phone, was by far the most helpful in determining what my needs were. She asked a lot of questions which led to determining how old my current opener was and that, indeed, it could not be repaired. This was based on a safety regulation that door prior to a certain age cannot be repaired and, indeed, replacement parts are not made for doors that old. The other companies I contacted were going to send someone out to see if the door could be replaced, charge a service call, and then have to have a second appointment to install a new one if needed. Kelly also suggested a way i could keep the door locked until the new one was installed and suggested we get a manual lock ($6) in case of power outage in the future. The Potter installer came out as scheduled, with Kelly calling ahead to let me know it would be at the tail end of the "window" of time promised. The installer was very pleasant, explained the features of the new opener. After he left, we had a question about the light and called Potter. They were very responsive and researched the answer, calling back with further information. I was very impressed by their customer service from beginning to end.

They were very friendly and courteous. They made an estimate appointment and showed up promptly. Correctly diagnosed problem with original doors that had caused them to fail. Installation: Installation Team was friendly and professional, and took care in installing the new doors--they look great and operate easily. I would definitely recommend Potter Overhead Door.

Called about noon and could not get an appointment until the next day early afternoon. Did not want to wait that long, so called to cancel the service. The phone operator who took my information was not very attentive and I had to repeat several times my address and the reason for the cancellation. However, I did receive a call the next morning asking after my cancellation which was professional and polite.

They are quick and professional. The job is done well.

They were amazing. I was actually locked out of my house and I didn’t have the key to my front door. The garage door opener wasn’t working. So they were here within an hour. They went and got us a new garage door opener and it was done. All the other companies I called told me that they could come in only the next day and I needed immediate help. They were very flexible and very efficient. It was a good price. My overall experience with them was excellent.

I had phoned J & J Appliance who do not provide the service I needed, and they recommended Potter. My confidence was not misplaced in either company. The gentleman came out the next morning. Even though the old mechanism was shot, I was still provided with the old part. In fact, before installing a new one, he insisted on double checking my battery to make sure he was not selling me a part I did not need. Superb experience!

This company is extremely professional. They have an installer who is really exceptional. His name is Jack. He gave us a lot of helpful hints. You can have the greatest product in the world, and a poor installer can ruin everything. This is a family owned business, and they really care if you're happy. The results were beautiful.

The number of choices to replace a door is overwhelming, but they helped me think through the various options, what most people choose and why, and offered general suggestions. In fact, I originally was going to choose a white door but the person who came to measure convinced me that almond would look more distinctive and better match the trim I already had. He was completely correct. I was very happy with the experience. My neighbor recommended Potter to me (I didn't know I had a Potter opening system at that time) and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new overhead door or door opening system.

Pretty good, the installer showed up about 1/2hr late but no biggie. The only complaint I have is he used the old wiring from the old opener, but everything else is good.

Excellent. They were on time, very efficient, and professional. The installer was knowledgeable, efficient and a very nice guy. He explained the process and performed the installation very expertly. The door is so much higher quality than my previous door. It operates whisper-quiet, and is very solid. I am very happy with the door, and I recommend this company very highly.
