 + -1 moreI have taken my vehicle to Yorktown many times. They are professional, friendly and honest. They don't perform work if it is not needed and they charge a fair price. However, once a repair is completed, they could do a better job of making certain all is right. A road test upon completion of service would be great. On my most recent service, I had to return twice for wheel vibration and brake rubbing. They corrected the problems with no charge, but it was inconvienent to make two return trips.
Description of Work: rear brakes, pads & rotors; replace brake fluid; rotate / balance tires; wheel alignment; oil change;

Description of Work: I took the my 2004 Hyundai Sonata which has 110,000 miles on it twice in a month - no fault of Yorktown. The first time there was a noise in the rear. It was coming from a lose bushing and bad bearings. Everything was fixed and was great. A week later the check engine light went on. One engine coil was bad and it needed new spark plugs. The car works great now. I was upset because I had taken it to Ganley Imports on Brookpark in October (6 months ago) for a complete check up and final maintanence. They were supposed to check spark plugs, coils, etc and obvsiouly - even though they said they did, they didn't do it. I am MUCH happier with Yorktown Automotive and will go there again. They get you in and out of the service area quickly. If you need a replacement car, they have supplied one in the past. This time I needed a ride to come pick up my car and they came to my door and picked me up. Can't ask for better service!

 + -1 moreBrought the car in and after they analyzed the problem, explained to me what was wrong. Since my SUV has been a good vehicle, I decided to go ahead with the repairs. As Yorktown was working on ordering parts and doing the repairs, they kept me informed throughout the process. They came in within the estimate, even with some un-forseen problems. I was shown all the parts that were replaced and was able to see where the torsion bar had broke. While this was a large dollar repair, I feel comfortable with the work that was done. I believe that all the work that was done, was done very well. Based on what I had seen of the parts that were replaced, I believe that all the work that was done was necessary. I have brought my cars to Yorktown for many years. Even when I thought there was a problem, many times it was a very simple, inexpensive fix.
Description of Work: Had to have the right front suspension worked on. My SUV right front tire was barely clearing the fender opening. Had to have a number of parts replaced. Worked with both Byron & Randy who kept me informed throughout the process. Was able to use a loaner car during the whole time, as the repair service took almost a week.

 + -1 moreWHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR THEY TOLD ME THE NOISE WAS JUST AN ANNOYANCE AND NOT A PROBLEM WHICH WAS FINE. HOWEVER THE CAR WAS NOT WINTERIZED AND THE RADIO WHICH THEY SAID THEY DO NOT WORK ON WAS NO LONGER WORKING AT ALL. CAR IGNITION WAS IN THE ON POSITION RESULTING IN A DEAD BATTERY. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THEIR ATTENTION THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE DAMAGES. THEY TRIED TO CHARGE YOU WITHOUT DOING ANY WORK. WHEN I BROUGHT THIS TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CLERK AT THE DESK HE STATED THIS WAS A SOLUTION ONLY THE MANAGER COULD GRANT. THE MANAGER WAS THERE AND WHEN ASKED WOULD NOT TALK WITH ME.
Description of Work: AUTO REPAIR TO FIX NOISE IN THE STEERING. LOOK AT THE RADIO AND WINTERIZE THE CAR.
