Someone at the store did not disclose this information at the time of purchase. We contacted the store, and had some of the fees removed. The installation went fine, but there was that miscommunication.

I knew my furnace needed cleaning and they told me they could do the service and since the price was competetive i had them do the cleaning also.. .everything went very smoothly. Would not hestiate to use again.

 + -1 moreAs promised they came out Thursday morning and dismantled and removed our old garage door so we could prepare our garage for the wedding. The wedding went on as planned and we were grateful that we no longer had a broken door in our garage to deal with. First thing Monday morning the repairmen from Sears came out and had our new door installed and in good working condition around noon. They were friendly, curtious and really knew what they were doing. The door now works very well and we were pleased with their workmanship and have nothing to complain about.
Description of Work: On the Wednesday prior to our daughter's Saturday wedding our double wide gargage door was accidentally knocked off its track and broke. Our wedding invitations included guests coming over to our home after the ceremony so this was real bad news. With the broken gargage door on the floor of our garage we had an urgent need for someone to come out and install a new one. We called around and at first were going to go with a garage door repair company that was highly rated with lots of reviews, but when they came out they told us that we'd have to wait four to six weeks. We heard the same thing from almost every other comany, but Sears. Sears said that they might be able to install it in time. What few reviews they had were positive so we called them for measurments and a price quote. When they came out and saw the damage to the door, track and opener, they told us we'd have to have everything replaced. That was bad news but not really surprising. They told us they could remove the old door, but to get us the right size door and all the earliest they could install a new one was the morning of the wedding. Since their final quote was about the same as other companies we decided to go with them.

 + -1 moreOverall we were extremely pleased with the services provided by Noel and his willingness to work with us on price and his punctuality.
Description of Work: Our garage door was raising and lowering on it's own. We called Sears garage door repair as the garage door opener was a Craftsman. We lucked out and got Noel from Sears Home Services. He actually came a little earlier than the time he promised. He quickly evaluated the problem and did not charge us a service charge as we decided to reset garage door to see if it would then work properly so we wouldn't have to pay for a new circuit board if it wasn't needed. Resetting did not solve the problem so he came back the next day with a new circuit board which then fixed the problem. He even put foam on a sharp corner that he almost hit his head on the day before which was something I had wanted done for quite a while--this was above and beyond which is something you don't often seewith a repair person. He is a hard worker and eager to please.

I obtained a quote for the garage door that I wanted, along with two quotes from other contractors. The Sears quote was higher, but they were willing to work with me on price. I was flexible on timing and had the door installed in about 2 weeks. I am very satisfied with the results and the contractor has followed up since to make sure I'm happy!

Description of Work: The installer disassembled the old garage door, removed all the old hardware, and track. They replaced with a new garage door, new hardware, and track. When they completed the job, they hauled away all the hardware, track, and old garage door.
