The service was excellent. The service man was on time. He explained what he was going to do and cleaned up after himself. The garage door works better now than it did before he came.

I kind of forgot about this until I had a spring go out yesterday and was back here searching for garage door repair. This was a couple of years ago, so some details are sure to be off, but the gist of it is accurate. First off, to be honest, I was not clear on what a garage door "tune-up" was, so for that I failed caveat emptor. I have an angry garage door, which opens and closes quite loudly, so I thought the tune-up might entail some greasing of things/soothing lullabies to quiet my door and maybe not wake up the kids after I get home from beer league hockey. The tech came and was a nice guy. He was in the garage for, I don't know, not long (10 minutes?) knocking around, replacing the rollers. After that, he called me out to the garage and showed me that the door didn't level. Meaning, if you put the door midway between closed and open, it wouldn't stay in that position (which apparently it is supposed to) it would slam shut. To remedy this, he suggested I spend $1600 and get a whole new garage opener system. I don't have 16 honey in my sock drawer to drop on a new opener and whatnot. So I said something like, "That's a lot. Do you think I really need to replace the whole thing?" To which he replied, "Well, I don't know. I never saw the door in operation." Apparently, he never hit the button to give her a go. I will grant that I know nothing about garage door opener repair, so maybe this is standard, but my gut reaction was that it was a wee bit shady. I mean, if you were "tuning-up" a car, wouldn't you start it? After I declined the new opener, he was off to his next appointment.

My garage door went off track on Sunday night and got stuck, so I was unable to get my car out to go into work on Monday. I called Precision and they were able to schedule someone to come to my house within hours (thank you!) I bought the Big Deal for a tune up and roller replacement, but ended up paying more to do everything but replace the actual door, but I was OK with that because all was updated and my door opens and closes smoothly now. Bill was very friendly and explained everything about what needed fixed/replaced, and how to take care of it going forward so it doesn't happen again. He worked quickly and had all the parts with him, so he was only there for about an hour. I would definitely recommend Precision to anyone!

I called first thing this morning as I was about to go to work and my garage door opener again would not work (would only open a few inches) and I was done with it after years of dealing with it. I called Precision based on Angie's List reviews and am thrilled I did. The dispatcher immediately sent out Bill and I am so thankful. I wanted a new garage door opener and Bill showed me my options, I picked one out and he had it installed in no time despite the freezing temperature. Bill was extremely knowledgeable, professional and extremely friendly. The opener is so quiet and is programmed to close after 5 minutes (unless I don't want it to) so I don't have to worry ever again about leaving it open overnight. If your looking for professional, skilled and timely service, I highly recommend Precision!

Tech called and said he would be about 40 minutes late as he was at warehouse. No problem. He was very professional and assisted us in determining if we should repair current door opener or get a new one. Since our opener was 11 years old we decided to get a new one. The tech was able to install the mew opener right away. We did not have to make another appointment which was excellent. He explained the difference between door openers and was very knowledgeable. It was a very good experience! I will use this company for many years to come !

We are very pleased with the service we received. We ordered a Big Deal and were able to schedule an appointment just 4 days later. The technician arrived as scheduled and worked quickly and efficiently to fix our garage door opener. It was making a terrible noise and he knew immediately what the problem was - a gear was stripped. He gave us a quote on the spot to replace the gear, which we approved. He was able to replace the gear immediately, and he also replaced rollers and lubricated the track as part of the Angie's List Big Deal we purchased. Our garage door opener is 17 years old and now it works like it's brand new.

Our current garage door opener was 20+ years old and chose to fail today Monday March 3, 2014 as I was leaving for work. It closed down to about 2 feet from the ground and would not move up or down. I could not get the pull chain release to work so I could close it the rest of the way. I selected Precision based on their A rating on Angie's List and their proximity to my home. I was pleasantly surprised to get a same day service call appointment between 2 and 5. I got a call back that based on the technician having a call in Brecksville at noon my call was moved up to 1:00. Even better, Bill called me at 12:10 and asked if he could arrive earlier, which was fine because I work in Brecksville. Bill was at the house when I arrived and proceeded to diagnose the problem. The large gear that moves the chain to lift the door was stripped. Bad news the opener was so old that it did not have the safety sensor that is required by code and he was prohibited from repairing the gear. We had to get a new opener. Bill showed me the models available with the full installation price including tax. I selected the base model LiftMaster .5 hp belt drive and Bill got to work installing it. He was finished just before 2:00 PM so I missed minimal time from work. He was very professional and courteous. Bill even set up the HomeLink transmitter in my car before he left. Overall this was a very good experience. However, I was disappointed to find a $20 off coupon for a new opener on Precision's web site after I completed the review for their records.

Everything went very well, and door and opener are much quieter than before as promised. Upgraded the garage door opener with a new model including battery back-up which is very smooth and quiet. The battery back up has come in handy a couple of times since than during power outtages. No problems except installer was supposed to give me back two of the remotes from the old opener as they would work on the opener at my other house but failed to get them back to me and then did not return my phone calls.

Service was excellent. The provider was prompt & courteous.

The technician Paul was very courteous, and friendly. He pointed out all the problems with my door and the consequences of not fixing them. He cleaned up afterwards and said if I have any problems to call him and gave me his card. I would recommend them to my friends.

I was refunded on this deal because the garage door is old and the program they had didn't apply to my door. The new rollers wouldn't fit. Very nice people but just couldn't apply this program to my specific garage door.

The door would not go up or down. After servicing the door it has worked properly.

It was fine and we had no problems. They came when they were supposed to and did what they were supposed to. The technician was very professional. The scheduling was very easy. They got the job done in about 1-2 hours. He was very thorough and got the job done quickly.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. It was excellent. It worked well. The garage door has worked incredibly well ever since that. It was a fortuitous bargain and I needed the work done at the time. The garage door was making nasty noises. I would absolutely use them again.

The tech called and asked if he could come early, which was no problem. He got the garage door open for me and showed me what happened. I ended up getting a package deal for a new opener with a keyless entry pad, and new parts for the hardware. The door is now quiet and works great. The Keyless entry pad is a safety net for me, since the only access to the garage is the garage door.

Springs failed, found Precision Overhead Garage Door on Angie's List and the same day I called within two hours technician was at the house for the repair. Paul was courteous and professional; impressed with customer service as they confirmed appointment via email with the techinican's name and photograph. I do have an issue with the price of the springs $185/each I believe is excessive, ~363% up charge. I will not use them in the futue.

They did alright. He did an excellent job, it’s just that he didn’t clean up very well after himself. There were some black fingerprints on the door and old screws that were left there. The work was time consuming. He basically rebuilt my garage door. I’ve got an old, heavy garage door and it runs well and silently now. Their pricing was reasonable.

The polite young inexperienced salesman gave me a verbal price and said he'd e mail me a firm quote with all the details and specs. He had the latest ipad into which he impressively punched all the numbers. After a couple days of receiving nothing I called their office and spoke to the salesman who said he had e mailed me the quote. After a few more days of getting nothing I called again (the last time for me!) and said if I don't get my quote by "Friday" your company can forget about me all together. I never got a quote, or a call back, or anything. Unbelievable for a company who desires to do business!

The technician arrived on time and was very professional. Took the time to answer all of my questions and explain what was being serviced. I had purchased the Angie's List deal because my garage door was extremely loud and jerking. Turns out one of the springs was broken and my garage door was essentially being lifted by one side. Precision Door Service was able to replace the entire system the same day. Garage door works great and opens and closes smoothly without issue.
