Description of Work: Arrived to clean main drain in less than 1 hour on emergency service. Basement was flooded about 2-3 inches. Able to use electric snake, saving us the more expensive blast truck.

Description of Work: I needed a shut off valve for my main water meter because I was getting a new sub-meter. The contractor sent by the water co. was unable to close the main valve (it was over 95 years old) and I asked McPhillips to help. The worker was very efficient--he managed to get the old valve to close, put in several new shut-offs and worked responsively and with little fuss. I was very satisfied and the cost seemed reasonable ( I can't really compare costs because few plumbers were willing to take on the job).

 + -1 moreAmazed at the difference between companies. 2 was left with the feeling the 2 more expensive companies did not have plumber who knew how to repair or rebuild, they only knew how to install and of course bringing up the price.

My main concern was to get this taken care of ASAP b/c the water was near the furnace. They sent someone right away to fix the problem. The tech gave me a great deal b/c the work didn't take that long. Fabulous and polite and great with my cats. Very pleasant and efficient with his work.

 + -1 moreI was very pleased with the courtesy and professionalism of the technician. He could have told me I needed a new squirrel cage or motor and I wouldn't have know the difference. The total price included the work on both furnaces and parts. I will use them again to check or repair my furnaces.
Description of Work: Furnace was making a squealing (bearing type) sound. Their technician came and checked the sound and found that the bearings on the squirrel cage were dry. He oiled them and then tested them for a while and checked the furnace for carbon-monoxide. The noise disappeared and he felt that this should solve the problem. I have a double house and he looked at my other furnace and suggested that I should clean it sometime. I had him do it then - he cleaned, replaced the thermal couple and checked the filter, checked for carbon monoxide, tested everything and was on his way.

 + -1 moreI HAD THIS COMPANY INSTALL A NEW FURNACE LAST FALL (OCT 2003) AND THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. I HAD DECIDED TO INSTALL CENTRAL AIR IN THE FALL OF 2004. SO, I PICKED A TOTAL HEAT/AC UNIT TO BE INSTALLED WITHIN 1 YEAR. THE FURNACE WORKED AS PROMISED. SINCE I JUST INSTALLED THE AC, I HAVE NOT YET TRIED IT. I ALSO GOT A NEW THERMOSTAT WHICH IS WORKING WELL. NO COMPLAINTS FROM START TO FINISH ON THE INSTALLATION OF EITHER THE FURNACE OR AC. VERY HAPPY WITH THE SELECTION OF A DUCANE FURNACE/AC UNIT. STEVE, THE AC TECH, WAS EXCELLENT, PROFESSIONAL, PUNCTUAL, AND COURTEOUS. MR ZAZA, THE SALESPERSON, IS A 'RARE GEM', AN EXCEPTIONAL PERSON WHO IS EXTREMELY KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT HEAT/AC BUSINESS AND A TRUE PROFESSIONAL.
