Joe's Lock & Key

Joe spent time first trying to fix the lock before deciding it was too old to be repaired. He did not charge me for that time. He was very conscious of budget issues and took his time to get the job done right. He even liked our cats!

Joe returned my initial call promptly and we set up a time for the job. He arrived early, after confirming with me that an earlier time would be agreeable. He changed the locks on the house, and completed a couple of other repairs. He was efficient and polite. I recommend him without any hesitation.

Much to my surprise on calling, Joe indicated that he was able to come out within a couple of hours of my call. When he arrived, Joe greeted us with a big smile and patted my over-affectionate dog as well. He first showed me how to get the door open if this ever happened again (with my own key, go figure!) and then explained the repair process. He offered me two alternatives, one more time-consuming and costly than the other, though both prices were extremely reasonable. I took the lower cost option, and he was done in a few minutes. Upon completion of the job, he made suggestions on future improvements to the door, again demonstrated the process for getting it open in an emergency and left with a smile and a handshake. I will definitely use him again if needed and will recommend him to others.

Definitely a keeper!! I didn't think they made people like him anymore. He arrived with a smile and a friendly handshake. After a brief conversation I explained that the deadbolt on the front door was not engaging in a smooth manner. It was sticking and hard to move from the inside and also the outside. The back door arrangement was very loose and wouldn't always lock on the first try. The whole knob was as loose as a goose! He found out there were some broken parts inside and I asked him to replace the entire knob with a new one. Well, this professional went right to work and fixed both doors just like new. I had put up with these inconveniences for quite a while just putting it off because it seemed to me that it was too much to deal with at any given time. Now I know why I waited so long to pay attention to it. I was waiting for Joe's Lock and Key to come along. Before he left he made sure that I could lock and unlock both the front and back doors and that everything was in good working order. He also did some rekeying work. Joe's work is impeccible. He takes time to explain things and how they work and makes sure you understand. I would most definitely use the services of Joe's Lock & Key in the future.

Showed up early after calling to check if I was ready for him. New the type of lock and exactly what the issues where after taking a quick look. Did the maintenance, installed a new lock tumbler and cut 4 keys, as requested.

Joe was fantastic. We're brand new to the area, and a lock was broken that we weren't aware of. We locked it from the inside, left through another door, and then couldn't get back in. I found joe on Angie's List. After reviewing his reviews I contacted him to schedule. He was very responsive and followed up quickly. On the day of our appointment he called ahead to let us know he was on the way (ahead of schedule). He was prepared for our repairs and quickly set to work. He tolerated our kids and dogs well. In the end, the installation and work was very professional. Joe will be our first choice for all future locksmith work.

I had used Joe's Lock & Key (Joe's) once before, and was very satisfied with the price, quality, and promptness of the service. With this task, I contacted Joe's and the owner-operator (Joe). Joe asked what the service was and once I told him he did a quick run-down of the costs involved. They were satisfactory and we scheduled a time. Joe arrived on time and we asked a couple of questions about security ideas. He was frank and straightforward indicating that there is a tension between security and convenience. Once decided, he proceeded to change the locks and keys (three sets) as discussed. It took about an hour to complete the task. Because we were a repeat customer, Joe provided us with a returning customer discount. The work was well done and we would use this provider again. We will recommend Joe's Lock & Key to our friends and family should they need such a service.

I called Joe and left a message. He called back within 20 minutes. He had availability for the next day, which worked with my schedule as well, so we set a time. He called back later in the day to say that he might have to push the appointment back a little, but would be sure to call me when he was on his way to my house. He did indeed call me on the day of the appointment to let me know when he'd be coming, which was only 15 minutes past our original time. He was very friendly, prompt, communicative and professional. I explained everything that we wanted done. He went straight to work and, when done, came with me to each door so that I could try everything out to make sure it worked. This was probably the easiest service call I've ever made. I would highly recommend Joe and plan to call him if I ever need his services again.

I contacted Joe and within 24 hours the service was completed at a very reasonable price. I received the Anglie's List discount also. Joe is very professional and easy to be around. I would not hesitate to recommend him and would use him again myself.

I was glad that I found Joe's Lock and Key on Angie's List. I sent an email with the my contact information. I received a call within twenty minutes. I explained my issue with the locks. We set up a mutual time and date. I was told the cost of the job ($199). Joe called about an hour before he was to come to my house to confirm the time. I had to leave before he could get to my house but I informed him that my son will be at the house. My son stated Joe completed with work within one hour. Joe gave my son the keys (four) and left a detailed receipt (great).

Joe was very courteous on the phone, scheduled an appointment that same week, and arrived on time. He spent a little over an hour taking apart an old locking assembly and diagnosing that a spring had broken. This wasn?t a part that could be easily found, so Joe created one from spare material in his truck. This was a fantastic experience top to bottom - very refreshing to find someone so patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. Highly recommend, and will certainly use again if the need arises.

He returned my initial call promptly and provided the information I needed to make a decision about the type of service I required. We set up an appointment and he called ahead of the appointment to let me know he was running over on the job he was doing and he would be about 1/2 hr late. He arrived at his revised time, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, answered all my questions and took approximately one hour to perform the replacements and to make me six keys. When I requested that one door knob be replaced, he offered me a slightly used one that matched my other knobs and was 25% less expensive than a new one. He also lubed all the locks and requested that I test the keys to make sure the locks and keys worked. I would not hesitate to have Joe do any lock work on my house in the future. He was great!

Instead of just changing the locks, which were quite old, he tried and succeed in re-keying them. It took roughly an hour and went very smoothly.
