Able to set up appointment promptly for the afternoon of call. Discussed replacement of 15 year old air conditioner and best way to proceed. Technician was very helpful and answered all questions. When Gorganc was contacted to set up appointment for the Technician who will eval system for best replacement unit, the office personnel stated we shouldn't need the annual service agreement because we will have a new unit. She refunded our payment. Who does that? Very happy with what seems to be a very professional company.

We have used Gorjanc to service our steam heating system in the past. This spring we noticed a leak coming from our furnace and some corrosion on some of the outlet pipes. Because we are preparing to sell our home, we wanted to get an assessment of the problem. Gorjanc was very quick to get a technician out. The tech examined the boiler and quoted us $1400 to “attempt” to repair it, but gave us the ominous warning that “whether it can be repaired is 50/50....and you’d lose the $1400 if it doesn’t.” He happily put us in touch with the sales department to schedule an appointment for a replacment boiler. I reached out to a small owner-operated firm run by a former-Gorjanc technician for a second opinion and I am glad I did. After inspecting the leak, he said he could repair and certify the boiler. He gave me an estimate of $300-700 depending on how long it would take. In the end, he spent just 2 hrs and charged me $250 to repair the leak, clean out the sight glass, test and certify the boiler. There are only three conclusions that can be drawn: 1) Gorjanc has so much overhead, that they need to charge 5-6x the cost of repairs 2) Their technician wasnt competent enough to accurately diagnose a problem and assess its repairability OR 3) They use service calls as a way of driving sales of new boilers. Probably, it’s all three. PS This isn’t the first time we’ve had an insanely high estimate from GCS. They once quoted us $700 to replace a cracked radiator valve. We ended up having the work done for $200.

We were very pleased with the installation, follow up and general communication before and during the installation. The team ran into a couple of problems associated with programming the thermostat but they hung in there and got the job done.

Nate, the Gorjanc technician, diagnosed the problem on our 26 year old air conditioner and replaced the transformer and wiring to correct the problem. Ten days later, another problem cropped up and Gorjanc sent Joanathon to diagnose the new issue at no charge. Rather than putting more money into an old unit, we are looking to replace the unit. Gorjanc subsequently provided a quote for the replacement which we are currently considering. I have no reservations on recommending Gorjanc for your HVAC service needs as they do a nice job with professionalism.

The service was great. The cost was a little more than I expected but I had to have it done. They were punctual, did good work and were here and gone in a reasonable amount of time.

It went very well. In fact, they even threw in a custom made cover for the air conditioning unit at no extra cost. Everything was top quality including the presentation by the owner, Greg Gorjanc, and they were exceptionally good in every single category.

Gorjanc has been amazing to work with over the past 3 years. We hired them originally to snake a drain, and had them come back to service our furnace and a/c unit. We have since hired them on for a yearly service agreement for them to come out and tune our a/c unit and furnace once a year. The technicians are always very thorough with their work.

The rep was nice and friendly. He was appropriately dressed in work uniform. And he let me know what he was inspected and how he was inspected it.

On 3/8/2018 I purchased and had installed an American Standard HVAC system (cost $7200). I noticed the heat was not warm and purchased a thermometer to verify. It was within range so I assumed it was just me and the unit was working fine. Also my 1st electric bill with the new system was high $199 (my average highest bill with my old 12+ year unit was $150 during peak times). I turned on the cooling system for the 1st time on 5/3 (79 degrees, 50% humidity) before going to sleep. I woke up to 86 degrees (see photo). Gorjanc sent a tech same day although I had to take time off. The tech was methodical and able to troubleshoot the issue. My new system was reversing the heating & cooling functions. In addition the heat strip was running which might explain the higher electric bill. My system is currently off (I refuse to run it on emergency). The parts are on order. Needless to say I’m very disappointed in this system and with the install of it. This was costly (time off work, higher electric bill and expensive for a subpar product) and uncomfortable temperature wise.

Arrived at 9 AM and finished at 1 PM. They came out a day earlier and installed a grounding system at two spots as an approved no cost upgrade. Paid by check at end of job. They did several other things that others had not done in the past. Job was done in a professional manner for several hundred less than other quote. I will use this firm for my future work.

I initially used them in May of 2009 and believed I had a positive experience when they installed a toilet which died in December 2012 due to the type of toilet I chose to purchase being a pressure assisted toilet. However, the afterhours repairman has come to my home several times due to repairs that were not done correctly by the regular repairman. In April 2012 my water tank needed to be replaced and they did not reinstall my pipe correctly. As soon as he left water started to spray out as soon as I turned on my water. The afterhours repairman came back out that night and was at my home well after midnight taking longer to repair the issue than it took to install the entire water heater. It took five hours to get the pilot light lit again because the burner got flooded. The life of my burner was shortened due to that issue. In December 2012 when the initial repairman was back out replacing the toilet there was drip at the water main. When I pointed out that the water main needed fixed he tried to fix it. I went out to the garage and when I came back it was no longer dripping. He told me that he had just tightened it to stop the drip. He didn’t tell me that he had broken the water main by using the wrong type of screw and stripping it. He lied to me telling me only the water company could come out to replace the water main because they have to shut off the water from the outside. In reality that was a lie to cover up him having used the wrong screw and stripping my water main. In the unfortunate case I would have had an emergency I would not have been able to shut off my main water valve inside the home. I only found out about this when the water company came out in Feb 2018 to change the battery inside my home for my water meter. By not reinstalling a pipe correctly and breaking a water main valve is just sloppiness. My anger was compounded by not being told that he had broken the water main valve. My being unknowingly left in a dangerous position for five years and that I wouldn’t have been able to turn off the main water valve in the case of an emergency is unacceptable. I will never have this company back into my home.

Needed another after hours service. Tech restored heat and did not charge for visit. Same courteous and professional service received.

Needed an after hours call. Tech was thorough and meticulous with his work, courteous and professional. He replaced the fuse and restored my heat. Recommended replacing unit due to age.

Installers were prompt and courteous. Inside they covered my floor and cleaned up well. I’m satisfied with the service however not so sure on the system I purchased. I should have researched a replacement system better. My old system kept my home warmer.

They are wonderful! They fixed the issue and didn't try to rip us off. The tech who came out had a trainee with him and I think it's wonderful they really train their employees!

I called for them to fix our furnace which had stopped working and it turned out that we needed a new furnace and the second one was on it's way out as well. Their technician was the first in a long line of heating/cooling people to ever legitimately explain to me why we needed new ones. Over 5 years ago I had Arco tell me I needed new ones but never gave me a legit reason why. I got a new fan motor (from another company) and they've lasted me until now. We ended up replacing both furnace units and they've been very responsive any time there has been question or concerns. All technician's that I've dealt with so far (4) and the women answering the calls & scheduling services have been incredibly professional and great to work with!!

Listen up Angies members, This company is the BEST , I have dealt with 3 local HVAC companies and they were in my opinion "suspect" I went with Gorjnac and they actually have " integrity " they did not try to sell me a new furnance , they did not try to sell me on a " plan " no they came in , fixed the problem and left. T.J. was smart, and intelligent, he was so professional. Fixed my problem for $60 buck service call. Who ever owns this company, you Sir are a honerable owner

The technician was on-time and very professional. He was honest enough to admit that he was trained in repair and not installation. When it turned out that the system was shutting down because it was too large for the duct work (which was not upgraded with the furnace) the technician got on the phone with his installer and took a full set of measurements and pictures for his evaluation. I was told they would get back to me with a full report of the problem and proposed solution once they had researched the specifications of my furnace and the capacity of the existing duct work. After waiting 5 days I sent a message asking for the report. No response so I called the next morning and was told the service manager manager would call me later that day. By the next afternoon I had still had no call and no report so I sent another message demanding a refund. I finally got an email with the explanation that they had made a typo in my email address and telling me that the only solution of the over-sized furnace was to replace it with a smaller one. They apologized for the poor communication and refunded the cost of the inspection even though I told them that was necessary since they eventually got me the report.
