Servpro of Northwest Dayton has been in business since 1997. We are a full service company who can not only provide remediation services, but repair work as well. We can handle any job start to finish. This gives you the ability to work with only one company, which in turn, allows your job to be completed quickly. We do use subcontractors for some repair work, however they are all required to carry the same insurance limits (2 Million)we do and they are also background checked. All work is completed in a timely manner and a complete electronic file will be provided to you, including paperwork, and before and after pictures. All of our employees are background checked prior to employment. They go through 6 months of OJT training, 8 hours of in-house training and 3rd party industry training. First, they were sent by our insurance company, and their bill will be handled by our insurance company as well. so the cost of service is based on what their clew told me as an estimate (between $500 and $1000, probably closer to the lower end). I called our insurance company for help when our sewer got clogged, and sewage water started over flowing in our utility room. As our insurance company's adjuster told me, Servpro called me about an hour later. I explained what happened, and that we are still waiting for our plumber to fix the clog, so I need to call them back once the problem get fixed. When I called them back, their crew was out on another site, and they said they will call me in 30 min. Ended up waiting for their call for an hour and a half. (understand that they were at other site and taking them longer than expected, but I wish if the operator called us back and let us know it'll be a little longer... waiting without knowing is a bit painful. The crew arrived right around the time they told us over the phone. I explained when and what happened, and they told us the general idea of what they are going to do and how the process goes. They took pictures, end notes about the damaged area, and then their crew start ripping off the floating laminate flooring. They worked very hard and efficiently. In no time, they removed flooring from the affected area. Also they documented and removed damaged goods as well. Then they sprayed some chemical to treat the area, and take picture of after the job. They were very kindly explained us how this remediation process works, and also gave us general idea of how insurance claim process will work. they also left us some chemical they sprayed so that we can use to clean up the rest of the area we may have tracked the dirty water around. Overall, this whole process went much smoother and quickly than we thought. Also them explaining what they do and why, helped us a lot in the situation like this, we were pretty panicked when we had nasty water all over...
Description of Work: Cleaned up the damage from sewer back up happened on christmas night...

He told me don't panic you have 72 hours until mold starts growing and they'd take care of everything. We could have called another company whom the plumber recommended and another one our neighbors suggested but we were all confident that servpro was coming we were second on the list. The receptionist called the next morning and was like well you need to get a adjuster out and get a claim number for your insurance provider because this can get costly and we don't know you can afford it???? And then we'll get you on our list. We live in a new subdivision with homes from $300,000-$600,00. So I explained the gentleman the night before had said we were 2nd on the list she said oh that's the boss i'll call him. She called me back and said yes you're second on the list and I gave her my insurance claim number I had gotten from my insurance adjuster who said no problem we were absolutely covered. I also told her we needed help we would and could afford to pay anything to get it fixed(we ended up with 4 inches of water on our finished basement floor) To make a long story short?..we talked to them 10 times that following day they kept saying they were coming. They got delayed at the previous job. They had to run back to the office for more equipment. OOPS she was mistaken they were still at the previous job. The excuses and lies went on and on. By the time we called some other companies for help it was too late we are 26th, and 48th on the list! Servpro never has shown up!!!! Now we're 46 hours into it and have had no help!!! I'm sooo mad that we trusted them and they never came. I just don't understand why they weren't honest up front?? Why didn't they say hey for whatever reason we'll be there when we can. It'll be a day or 2 or 10?..but to lie and say they're on there way and not show up at all????? They totally screwed us!
Description of Work: We called SERVPRO 10 minutes into the rain storm when we realized our sump pump wasn't keeping up with the rain and had just started backing up into the basement. It was after hours so I called the emergency number. The gentlemen who called me back whom I later found out was the "boss" said we would be second on the list in the morning they had one person in front of us and would be to our hose by 10 or 11am. They never came!!!!!!!

My insurance company approved me to use ServPro to dry out my home. I had no problems with them cleaning up and drying out the home. The problems began when ServPro expected that they were going to be the contractor to rebuild my home. I explained that I only hired them to dry out and clean up my home and I would hire my own contractor. I asked for Brian to return my furniture and he said he wouldn't return it until I paid the outstanding bill. I contacted my insurance company and they said they never received an invoice for the remaining cost. I asked them in May to deliver my furniture and I didn't receive it until just 2 weeks ago.
Description of Work: I used ServPro to dry out my home after a fire.
