I switched to Unique Lawn Care from the service I had for years. The sales person claimed he would make my lawn look so much better than it was looking at the time he called on us. So I elected to give them a try. I have been seriously disappointed in their delivery on promise. They use a machine spreader to do the job more quickly. They must have dropped too much fertilizer in an area of my backyard as it killed the grass in a 50 foot area. I called the company and they came out. The said they would fix it in the fall and I am still waiting. I also noticed that areas of my landscaping have dead areas on them and I wonder if that is from the fertilizer machine they use as well, I can't prove it but I have never had this before. My lawn does not look better. In fact it is fall now and I have dandilions in my yard. I also was going to be gone for a period of time and called the company twice to give them the address of where to send the bills and not to leave them on our porch. They did not follow instructions and my neighbors had to mail the bills to us. I just have not been satisfied with the level of care for my lawn nor their service as a company. I will not use them again next year. 12/2013 - I was called by the general manager of Unique Lawn Care and he sincerely apologized for the way we were treated. They came out and treated our weeds and offered an acceptable solution for resolution to our concerns. We are going to give them another year and see how 2014 goes. I sincerely appreciated the call and the professional way things were handled.

I have been very impressed with Unique Lawn Care. I previously had TruGreen lawn service for lawn fertilization and tree and shrub fertilization. TruGreen damaged my property and shrubs. Unique Lawn Care has been wonderful. They came advertising their product door-to-door. My neighbor across the street uses them so I thought I'd give them a try. Customer service is HUGELY important for me and they are providing this. With a one year contract, I also had the core aeration thrown in for free which my lawn was desperate for. They did the aeration & over-seeded. I noticed a patch that they missed due to pet fencing issues, but when I called, they were back ASAP and aerated in this area. They were just aerating at a safe distance from the pet fence and needed to come in a little closer. As I said, they returned quickly, efficiently and completed the job to my 100% satisfaction. I always receive a phone call prior to treatments so I know when they are coming out. Excellent service, so far, with no problems! Hurray!!

This company would not provide a contract before I was to agree to their service that spelled out what they would do, when & what the cost would be. They would only provide info verbally and then send something in writing after I agreed to hire them. Beware of companies or contractors who will not provide a contract before doing work.

Unique provided adequate service treating our lawn in 2012. During the 2013 season they provided an additional "grub treatment" which was not discussed ahead of time. When advised that we were not going to pay for a service that they were not contracted to provide and we did not need their visits became sporadic and unreliable. Their services have been discontinued. Unique did call and ask about these issues after this post. They apologized and tried to resolve this issue with additional treatments for free. However, I declined any additional services.

I really like them, they always call first, and come on time. They leave instructions for us to follow up and I think they are very reasonably priced as well. What I like most about them; they are not pushy!

So far I've been very pleased with this company. Professional, conscientiousand you can tell customer service is important to them. You may find cheaper prices with the bigger companies, but in my opinion, the quality and attention you receive is well worth supporting this local business.

This is the second season we have used Unique Lawn Care. The serviceman called one or two days before to say he would be out on Sunday. He arrived as promised. This time he came to the door to politely ask us if we wouldn't mind bringing our dog in from the backyard as he needed to do the backyard. We did so, and he went right to work. He left a bill on the front doorknob when he was done.

They succeeded in aerating the yard, which the previous service did not do completely for the past several years. There are tree roots and the ground tends to be hard, but the equipment used by Unique Lawn Care was able to handle this issue.

I don't like the loud machinery they used to apply the fertilizer on the lawn. It's a big ride-on that is much louder than you would expect. I was not happy that a December application was made. UPDATE: They agreed to apply the fertilizer manually for next season at a pre-determined number of applications that I could agree to. Thank you for making it right.

After using a well known competitor service for years, I noticed crab grass taking over part of my yard. When I pointed this out to the competitor, they told me it was not crabgrass, but something other invasive grass. I was told this variety didn't like shade, and I should put the trampoline in that area to kill it.... Unique Lawn Care came to my door one day, and I signed up for thier lawn care treatment services. Two months later, they had treated the crabgrass and now it's dying out, and the good grass is growing back. I was impressed, because I don't think I even mentioned that specific problem to the. They also made sure to apply something to stop thistle from growing along my fence line, which was something else I was disappointed with in the other company.

My yard is in the best shape in the last 5 years even with the lack of rain. They are also quick to respond of my questions.

They are very friendly. They call before they come. It is just a matter of getting the work done and I hadn’t had the work done for three years. I am hoping that after this year it will be better.

Everything has been great. They are priced competitively. They do seem to pay a little more attention to their accounts than most.

They have come out three times so far. They have been responsive when I called. I don’t have any complaints. They do call ahead of time to let us know they are coming. If we are not here they leave a note in the door.

So far their services have turned out really well.

After hearing my complaint, Chris, the regional manager contacted me and we worked out a new plan for 2012. I was assured that the person I had spoken with would not be servicing my lawn. My fingers are crossed that everything will turn out as discussed. I'll make an additional post at the end of the season letting everyone know how it went.

I am happy with their work and I will continue to use them.

UPDATE!!!! April 15, 2012 The owner called on 4-13 to "make things right" by offering this seasons treatments free. Since I have made other arrangements for lawn care I declinede above
