Description of Work: The first time I used AC Plumbing, I was impressed with their knowledge and professionalism, and I still feel this way. But I was told that the bathroom fawcet needed a part and that the secretary would call to let me know the cost. After 3 months I hadn't heard anything so called them. The person who answered didn't know anything about it. So i sent an email then called again and talked to one of the owners who was very helpful but it took months to find out anything. Finally, the work was completed and very well. So I would use them again but now I know that I have to keep after them for any follow-up.

Description of Work: Unclog drainsSnake drainsExamine garbage disposalDe-winterize home I just closed on a home that is 90 years old. I called A&C at my neighbor's recommendation. It was a Monday and they came right away, as the hot water heater was taped up and marked "winterized" and I had poor pressure in most faucets. The plumber was polite and kinds and snaked the drains and got me up and running. However, he didn't bother to unscrew the faucets and empty the screens of debris. Nor did he bother to let the water run long enough to notice that the brown was finally gone. He also didn't bother to tell me that one faucet was leaky. He told me he checked everything and that all my my water appliances were fine. I learned he never bothered to turn the water on to the washer. He also told me that I would need a new garbage disposal. He warned that I should not get a cheap badger model and that he would have the office call me to arrange an install. He said the noise it was making indicated it would go any day. Well, the office never called and it's a good thing, because I found a pebble in the garbage disposal, took it out and it performs fine. 45 days later, I received a bill for $310, after I had called another plumber who came and showed me how to unscrew the faucets to tap the dirt and debris out of the screen. I won't be calling A&C again.

+ -1 moreThey are now working on my bathroom and they are going to rebuild a railing on porch and they also worked on the boiler. We had them wrap the boiler and do the annual inspection on the boiler. They have good employees that are well trained and they are very courteous. They clean up after themselves and they put down drop towels and even take off their shoes so they are not tracking in all the time.
Description of Work: We used A C Plumbing Heating & Mechanical. We recently used them to do the plumbing in the bathroom after it was remodeled.

+ -1 moreWent well. I was pleasd it was not a larger problem that would mean tearing hole in wall. They worked hard to figure out the problem which was not self-evident.
Description of Work: Water was dripping from 2nd floor to 1st floor and into basement when flushing toilet. We thought it was a larger problem. They diagnosed a clog in pipe between 1st and 2nd floors. They snaked all the way to basement. Then came back next day and snaked sanitary sewer which had roots.

We did not have him fix it because he was not an approved vendor under our home warranty but he identified the problem and was very informative.

+ -1 moreThey worked very quickly and efficiently, and kept us informed of the process - answering our many questions along the way. Very professional, friendly and experienced. The finished the job in one day - worked without a break, except a short lunch.
Description of Work: We had an emergency situation - the drain from the upstairs sprung a leak, and I had to shut off water to it, which has our only bath/shower. They sent someone out the next morning to take a look (on a Saturday), and a man came out to do the repairs first thing Monday. They had to replace the entire cast-iron drain, which meant opening a wall. It was a major job, but they were able to do it from a single opening in the wall upstairs. They cut the drain in sections and dropped it down to the basement. They showed me how corroded it was - with a four-foot split where the leak was. They replaced it with a pcv drain, along with another section that was corroded but not yet leaking.

THEY STICK WITH A PROBLEM UNTIL THEY SOLVE IT. ON SOME OCCASIONS THEY HAVE HAD TO LEAVE TO OBTAIN NEEDED PARTS, BUT THEY RETURNED THE SAME DAY TO COMPLETE THE WORK.
Description of Work: I HAVE EMPLOYED THIS COMPANY SEVERAL TIMES DURING THE LAST 6 YEARS TO OPEN CLOGGED DRAINS AND REPLACE LEAKING FAUCETS FOR WHICH PARTS NO LONGER ARE AVAILABLE.
