Called and left a message to get an estimate on lawn aeration. Did not even receive a call back in more than 2 weeks. I went with another company.

Free estimate was provided. Workmen arrived when expected. Job went very well. Work was completed efficiently and professionally by two men in 3.5 hours.

Matt Miller (probably the only guy you'll ever talk to) is friendly and responsive but obviously very busy with jobs -- which is a great sign of any service business like this. There's a reason his company is so well-reviewed here on Angie's List: yes, it really is THAT good. In spite of ridiculously inclement weather, Matt's crew was at my property once a week like clockwork for three weeks and did an outstanding job taming my unruly lawn. If you can't or won't do your own lawn mowing and edging, I strongly recommend you give National Lawn and Landscape an opportunity to impress you with their fair-priced yet effective yard services.

Even though the weather has been really wet and they're busy Matt came right away. I talked to him at 4:00 and he was here at 5:25. He did a great job and I would definitely use him again (and plan to).

They are very tidy and quick. They come when they need to. We have weekly service from them, unless we have to request something special. They are never late; they are always punctual.

My husband threw his back out right after I had neck surgery, so we were in a tight spot and needed to have the lawn mowed. I called Matt and he and his team showed up - within 20 minutes both lawns were mowed, the edging done and the clippings gone. They even took the time to move our son's playset out of the way when we forgot. I am extremely grateful to National Lawn and Landscape for their professional and friendly attitude and for their excellent work. It was a pleasure to know that when they were finished the lawn looked as I would have left it - neat as a pin. In fact, it was so great that we used them all summer, even after we were back up and healthy. Note: this provider is also on Angie's List under "American Lawn and Landscape", but the business cards reflect "National Lawn and Landscape".

They came by and did everything, I mean everything, while I was at work. When I got home, was I wowed! The trees look great, the bushes are neat, the trees that were slated for removal are gone. The yard hasn't looked so good in ages (my husband is good when it comes to doing general yard work - although this year we've hired the yard out to Matt, too - but he hates doing any pruning or cutting). I think they even cleaned out some weeds that had sprung up in the wildflowers growing around my mailbox. I just wish I had thought to take before photos. We have had a good experience thus far with Matt at American Lawn & Landscaping. We're planning to hire Matt to do some other things as well -- will report about that when the time comes.

They respond quickly. They come out on a regular timely basis. They get the job done quicker than anyone else has. They come as a team of 3 or 4 guys. The previous person quit in the middle of the season. They mow the lawn which is about 3 acres. They get it done in an hour. They use a blower and trim it too. They do a good job. I spend $150 each time they come out. They will continue to do the work for me.

American Landscaping came out to solve the problem and as expected, it did grew back. He came back again to dispose of the new growth as promised. I also contacted him to do the snow removal as well, when necessary. Once the time came, he planted the seed to grow new grass and covered it with straw. About two weeks later, the new grass looked amazing! Even when the cold weather moved back through, the grass survived. My regular lawn mowing company even commented on the new lawn. A week later, Roto Rooter was out to our home to remove roots from out exterior drains. Matt agreed to bring our yard back into shape once their work was finished. He did such a great job in the backyard, I certainly couldn't turn him down for additional work. He put the job off for some time, but has since made up for it. I would work with him again for any lawn and yard work projects and highly recommend him to others.

They seemed okay and the estimate was fine. We went with another company because we got a recommendation from our tree guy.

They arrived on the scheduled day and got the job done in about 3 hours. The job was done properly and clean up was good also.

I needed a new lawn company, and I saw a company mowing our neighbor's lawn. I talked to Matt, and he was very forthcoming about what it would cost. The next week he started mowing, and he comes about once a week. He was nice enough to not mow during the drought this summer.

He comes to my home to mow my lawn. He came today to do some landscaping and I asked him if he would help me hang an elbow gutter that was loose. He agreed to help me and it took us 5 minutes. He is very helpful and courteous. He went above and beyond the call.

The next day, we found someone who was already working at our house who could do the mowing for certain, so we jumped on it. When I called Matt to inform him of our other arrangements he was very pleasant and told us to call back if that fell through. I would certainly consider calling them again if we find ourselves in need of someone to mow our lawn.

He did extra by cleaning off the court that pleased us.

HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL, CLEANS UP VERY WELL, AND ALWAYS HAULS DEBRIS AWAY. HE ALWAYS DOES A GOOD JOB.

There price, I thought, was reasonable. It was almost half of another estimate I had gotten. They did everything I had asked. It was rainy and cold that day, and they still did the work and didn't seem to mind. They will do their best to do what you want done. They were very pleasant. The owner, Matt Miller, was very down to earth, and I thought he was just a nice young man. He would try to do his best I think. You do need to tell them exactly what you want done, but I feel they would do their best. He did comment that he was training one of the young men. They did their best.

I WONDER WHY THEY DIDN'T CALL BACK.

VERY UPSET THAT THEY NEVER RETURNED AS I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING THEIR ESTIMATE. THEY COULD AT LEAST CALLED TO SAY THEY HAD NO TIME TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE.

THEY DID NOT RETURN MY CALL. I ADVISED IN THE MESSAGE I LEFT THAT I WAS AN ANGIE'S LIST MEMBER AND WAS CALLING ABOUT THE MEMBER COUPONS. THEY DID NOT RETURN MY CALL EVEN WITH THIS INFORMATION.

MATT WILL TRIM OUR APPLE TREE AS SOON AS HE CAN, AND HAS AGREED TO HELP WITH A WEED PROBLEM AROUND OUR HOUSE. THANK YOU FOR HELPING US FIND MATT.

WE HAVE USED THEM FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS. WE ARE IN THE PROCESS OF SELLING OUR HOME AND THE DAY BEFORE OUR OPEN HOUSE THEY COMPLETELY TIDIED UP OUR YARD FOR US. THEY ALWAYS DO A VERY NICE JOB.

I CALLED HIM AND HE CAME OUT THE NEXT DAY TO GIVE ME THE ESTIMATE. HE ASKED ME WHEN I WANTED IT DONE, AND I GAVE HIM A THREE DAY DEADLINE AND HE DID IT! I THOUGHT IT WAS GREAT THAT HE SHOWED UP ON TIME AND DID WHAT HE SAID HE WOULD DO, WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD DO IT.
