 + -1 moreI called for a quote ($100.00) and then called back to cancel (my husband was comfortable performing the removal). They gave us helpful advice when I called to cancel! Very professional and prompt, they would have done the removal the same day I called, which was a Saturday!

Description of Work: I had an appointment for originally 2 pm then it was altered to be between 2-2:30 pm at 2:40 I left. They were a no show. I even called them at 2 pm to let them know that I was at home. Do not use this service.

 + -1 moreHad a bad ant problem. I called them and they were out within 24 hours. They were very professional and friendly. I have not seen an ant since the day they sprayed. I was told if there was a problem within 90 days they would be back to spray again free of charge. I would definitely use them again.

 + -1 moreIt went pretty good overall. They offer a 90 day follow up. So if in 90 days you see the pests again they will come and spray again. We did have them come out a second time. It's been about a year now and it has only been recently that I've started seeing spiders again. Overall it has been effective.

 + -1 moreWell you know I was truly a little bit disappointed. They were the highest rated on Angie's List so we hired them. The job was great, there was no problem with that. They have been constantly sending us bills, which is kind of annoying. Had I known that upfront we might have chosen someone else. Next time I think we might do some comparison shopping. We just felt panicked.

 + -1 moreYears ago when we were adding onto our kitchen the builder found an ants nest and said we needed extermination. Hoban was willing to come over by 7:00 am, before my husband and I went to work and talk with us and the builder about what pests they had found. Then Hoban did the spraying needed. Very accommodating.
Description of Work: We saw a few ants in our kitchen, so we called Hoban. They sprayed; outside around foundation, inside kitchen baseboards, under open seams in the vinyl siding, around 3 big Oak trees and around timbers used in garden landscaping.

 + -1 moreThis company has always been great, and I wanted to recommend them to Angie's List. We will continue to use them whenever we have a problem.
Description of Work: We have used this company for years and have always been very impressed. One year we had a bee nest which took the tech several hours to eliminate due to it's location. The tech worked outside quite a while, was very thorough, and would not leave until he had located where the nest actually was. This meant cutting into drywall inside, but again he was very thorough and made sure all of it was gone and this was a big nest! The charge was under $100. We have used them for eliminating carpenter ants, and again they take their time to solve the problem, going over the entire yard and all around the house to make sure they get the nest. They will come out again for no charge if you continue to have a problem, which we had, and again the charge was under $100.

 + -1 moreOverall, well, although they have come back twice, for a total of 3 visits. Their first visit took care of most of the problem. There were still some ants, so they returned and found a rotten board in the houses facade. Once treated it eliminated most of the problem. Six weeks later, we had a bit of a problem when the weather turned; they came again, sprayed around, felt problem was coming from old tree near front of house, no problem in the weeks since they resprayed.
Description of Work: Extermination of infestation of carpenter ants, too a fair amount of spiders.

 + -1 moreI called one day and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day. Prices seemed on par. Tim arrived on time and was friendly. He asked a few questions about where we were seeing ants, what times, etc., took a look at a few places inside where we had seen the ants, and then proceeded to investigate around the house. Ultimately he found the nest in the eaves of the roof and treated it; ants almost immediately started to die and leave the nest. He explained that we would see ants for a week, but in far fewer numbers and mostly dying. He was right. While he was here, he was more than happy to answer plenty of questions and explain what he was doing. Tim's visit was a painless experience and I would definitely use Hoban Pest Control again.
