His work is guaranteed; if any problem persists, he will come out again for no additional charge. The spray that he used is non-toxic and has no odor.

I called Hoban Pest Control Service and set up an appointment - I was very lucky and they came the same day!!! I received prompt, professional service. I felt respected as a customer and I appreciated the thoroughness with which my problem was addressed. I have not seen any more ants since the treament yesterday, but undertand that intermittent ants in the first 10 days are not uncommon. They have a 90 day guarantee and will come back if the problem recurs.I would most definitely recommend Hoban Pest Control Service to anyone with a problem with carpenter ants!!!!!!  + -1 moreGreat Job. There has been an immediate reduction in bees buzzing around the house. I have noticed no new "sawdust" from the bees so far. I used to use another provider, but they were not as good and more expensive. I waited a week to check results as suggested by the fellow doing the spraying. He had a hole in his hose so I gave him some tape to fix it, which lasted until he finished the job. He did not use my water as the previous exterminator, as a result, did not get as much on the windows for us to clean.
Description of Work: Spray for wood bees and place insecticide in reachable holes from bees. Most are not reachable on my house as it is three stories high. .

They were able to give me an estimate on the phone. They also do not like to spray inside the home and have a 90 warranty. I would highly recommend this company.

 + -1 moreThey came for an initial treatment to get rid of ants in the kitchen. They have a 90 day guarantee and they are willing to come back as many times within that time frame at no extra charge. They came back 2 more times within that period and so far we haven't had any trouble with the ants coming back since their last visit.

Description of Work: We have had problems with the little brown ants on and off for years. I called Hoban's and they came out the next day, at the time that they said they would. The guy knew what was going on and treated the house inside and out. That was a few days ago and our little visitors are gone. I know the ants will come back next year, and when they do I will call Hoban's again. I called another pest control company last year, and they were awful. They showed up late and sometimes not at all.I had to call them back 4 times before the ants actually went away. And at that they argued with me that there shouldn't still be a problem. I hated to keep calling them but I had already paid the money, which was about the same as I paid this time) and I didn't want to pay more for a job that should have been done. They kept coming out until I stopped calling. I won't use them ever again. I am soooooooooo super happy that I haven't had to call Hoban's to come out again. I have 90 days warranty on the job they did. So if I need to I can call them out again, but since I haven't seen any up till now and I have a good feeling that I won't.

 + -1 moreCouldn't have been happier. Noticed that we were getting ants in our kitchen late Saturday afternoon. Called Hoban thinking I would get a message and be leaving a voice mail. Got a live person and was able to arrange an appointment for the first thing Monday morning. Kept the ants at bay with ant traps and an organic spray (we have cats) until Monday. The technician, Matt, was prompt, and did a thorough job of inspecting and treating the entire interior perimeter, and all other possible entry points. Heckuva nice kid, too. Came back on Wednesday to do the exterior perimeter that he couldn't do on Monday because of the rain. Haven't see an ant since.

 + -1 moreThey are always available to us. We?ve had a lot of problems over the years with ants and things like that. They don?t come out. We had to get it treated and they took care of it for us, which is really good. We had to get somebody new because we lost our regular man who passed away. So we didn?t know where to go and then ever since, they?ve been the ones that we go to. I don?t even know how much I paid because they do it regularly. It?s a service that we just have it done. They do the outside and sometimes they do the inside if we want them to. I don?t even know the cost anymore I pay them every year. Their work is excellent. They work around their own way. Their price is excellent and the work is durable. We have to have somebody that the price is not out of this world. The quality, responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism are excellent and good. I would absolutely use their services again in the future.

 + -1 moreIt turned out the bugs were fruit flies due to left over food in my daughter's room. He didn't do anything. He just said they weren't bed bugs. He didn't give me a solution on how to get rid of them. The guy that came out was not too personable. I wouldn't call him again. I thought his price was high at the time, but that was probably because he was only here for 10 minutes.

 + -1 moreThey did a good job of killing the wasp nest and offered a 90 guarantee. They would come back out and spray again if we saw any more wasps. There were a couple wasps that came out and died afterwards but that was it. Pleased with the work that Hoban did.
Description of Work: Sprayed in an area under the back porch where a wasp's nest had formed. Also sprayed the soffit area of the entire house.

 + -1 moreBees (yellow jackets) invaded my home on 9/2/2010, we began calling around and found this service provider. Upon his arrival he introduced himself (Tim) we explained our dilemma. Tim examined the area and made a few suggestions. He performed the service and provided a 90 day guarantee. What impressed me the most it was near the end of the day when we contacted the service provider and we were not sure we would receive the service the same day. The lady we spoke with went above and beyond and found a technician enroute to end his day. He agreed to assist...in less than 20 minutes Tim arrived. He was the most pleasant service person to enter my home...EVER! He was extremely knowledgable and assured us the problem would be resolved. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone.

 + -1 moreFrom the time I called them with my situation on Thursday until they finished the job they were professional and courteous. I spoke with the scheduler who worked to accomodate my Friday request on Thursday. I could tell she genuinely felt bad for us in our current situation. I asked that their representative contact me about 30 minutes prior to showing up at my house and I would meet them there. They stated no problem and took my cell phone number. Friday morning I recieved a call at 10:30 and by 11am they were on property and starting their work. My husband was home and said that they were punctual, professional, knowledgeable and courteous, After a thorough treatment for pavement ants they presented our bill, which comes with a 3 month guarantee. We used our Angie's list discount and it was already taken care of when they presented the bill. Without a doubt we would recommend Hoban to others. Barrett and Brad were excellent technicians!
Description of Work: Hoban found pavement ant nests and how they were getting in the corner of the patio and in the crawl space along the beam. They baited and treated the interior and exterior for pavement ants.

I was concerned because we have a nest of chimney swifts in our chimney and didn't want to hurt the babies. Barrett was really good about how to take care of the ants without hurting the birds. He brought a trainee and was very knowledgeable and personable.
Description of Work: Removed hornets' nest in ground near foundation. Sprayed for swarming ants, but couldn't find any evidence of a nest.

Barrett cane to the door, introduced himself and shook my hand (this is very important to me when hiring someone.....it's a trust and professionalism thing). I showed him the nest and offered him two ways to access it. When he had it removed, he offered the preventative service, which I accepted. He was finished from start to finish in less than an hour. Great Job!!

Description of Work: I've used this company before. They are wonderful. Each year they come out to spray and handle any type of pest that's currently being bothersome. They have treated my house for different types of ants and flying insects (wasps, hornets, bees). The great thing about Hoban is that if there is a problem with insects within 90 days after they spray they come back and fix the problem with no additional charge. With the changes in weather and rain here in Cleveland, some new type of pest usually appears after initial spraying. They treat at no charge and it's wonderful.

The service person was friendly and informative and as a courtesy he sprayed my out building as well as my deck. I would recommend this company to anyone and I will definitely use thier services again.
Description of Work: I had carpenter bees drilling holes in my wood deck as well as wasps building nests. Hoban sprayed the entire deck top and bottom and the wood furniture to eliminate exsitng bees and to deter further infestation. They also, as a courtesy, sprayed our out building to protect it from possible infestaton as well.
