SMART MOVE

Many hopes that my terrible experience with Smart Move saves those of you reading this review a lot of frustration and loss. I came away from my experience with this company believing that anyone who uses Smart Move has made a very dumb move. The three-man crew arrived on time, at 9 AM. But they didn't finished loading the contents of our one-bedroom apartment in Manhattan until 5 PM. They were still moving in our belongings into a new apartment in Riverdale at 10 PM -- to the extreme displeasure of the super and our new neighbors. We were confronted with chaos. Carefully marked boxes, designating the rooms to move them into, were strewn helter skelter. Some of our belongings were damaged. A few pieces are completely missing. When I called the next day to ask that someone come straighten out the mess, I was told that someone would get back to me. Surprise! They never did.

it went perfectly! They wrapped everything up. I would recommend them to anyone and i'd definitely use them in the future.

I was recommended to Smart Movers by a friend who had used the company several times, as had some of her friends.
For starters, their price was almost 1/2 of the other quotes I received. I provided a detailed list of what was to be moved (# of boxes/bins and large furniture items) and I was quoted a flat rate which was honored. Alternatively you can arrange for someone to come to your home to quote you I think.
The guys showed up 15 minutes early and were ready to work. My old apartment is a duplex (2nd and 3rd floor) and the staircase is very narrow. The guys worked non-stop to move our stuff out but were also very careful with our belongings. To top it off, each of the 4 movers we had - Eddie, Alex, Armando and Eddie #2 were very personable and pleasant. Any questions or concerns I had during the move were met with reassurance from the team.
They held our stuff overnight and came back the next day to unpack us into our new house. A few times I changed my mind on where I wanted something and they moved it for me with no issues. Overall, I was so pleased with the team and their efforts. I thought the price was very fair and I would happily recommend Smart Move.

They were really, really good. They were smooth, they were on time, they were punctual. I need to move out of a store and more back in and they had the fairest price. They guys that came were courteous, respectful. I was eight and a half months pregnant and they were just really awesome. It was more reasonable that the larger movers in the area.

My dad was moving in with me and we needed part of his home's furnishings moved to my home in Long Island, and the remaining large items of furniture stored in the basement of his Yonkers home. Not only did the crew arrive on time (early!) but they were quick, efficient and split into two teams in order to expedite the move. The employees were quick, careful and courteous and very respectful of my elderly dad.
I would highly recommend this Company to anyone looking for movers in the Westchester area. They were terrific! Thanks!

They arrived on time and with more than enough workers to handle the job. They packed and unpacked all our belongings with care.
Granted we didn't move far from where we were but we were out of our old place and into the new place within 4 hours.
I have recommend them to my friends.

On my moving date, the movers from Smart Move showed up on time. The guys were very professional and were careful with my furniture. All of my furniture was carefully wrapped and hauled into the truck. Prior to arriving at my house, the movers called to advise they were ten minutes from my house.
Also, Fran, the lady who scheduled my move was nice and helpful. A few weeks prior to my move, when I sent her a list of the items that needed to be moved, she responded with a price within two hours.

My IPAD was stolen.

It was a wonderful experience. My wife and I were stressed but within 20 minutes we knew we were dealing with pros and we relaxed. Everything was put where we asked and there was no damage. I would recommend Smart Move to my family and friends.

Movers were on time and courteous. Job was done quite fast and we paid the exact estimate. We're almost fully satisfied, except for a few scratches on furniture and some small hardware items (bolts, screws) got lost. Nothing was broken, but we're glad we moved the fragile things and fine furniture ourselves, ahead of time.

Prior to the move a representative came out the give a cost estimate and estimate the number of boxes we would need if they packed us.Estimate was $1500 less than comparable companies in the area. Move took one full day. The guys were friendly and efficient. I had a 300lb TV I was worried they would have trouble with given that the condo is a one floor walk up to the living room. No problem. They wrapped the TV in pads and easily carried it out. They stacked the different rooms into separate areas. Overall this wasn't a problem except they stacked one wall floor to ceiling and the bottom boxes had an inappropriate amount of weight on them. Despite this, there was no breakage or scratches. At the end of the day, they also waved a planned fee for using their portable wardrobe boxes.

Called a number of movers, they had best price and that great commercial. Everything went great;professional, courteous, punctual. Great experience. Highly recommended.

IT WAS CLOSE TO EXCELLENT. WE HAVE USED THEM BEFORE. THEY WERE REALLY GREAT. THEY WERE GOOD. WE HAD MOVED BEFORE, AND IT WAS A LONGER DISTANCE BUT THE SHORTER DISTANCE COST ABOUT THE SAME.
