Al is great. Knowledgeable and professional, and helps you save money! (he pointed out that I had a gas line for the dryer, so didn't need to install a separate electrical outlet, even though it would be more $ for him!) Will be using him moving forward!

Al is everything you want in an electrician. He has over 45 years of experience and it shows. I had an issue that a previous electrician left me with and Al corrected everything that I knew needed to be done and also discovered things that I didn't realize needed to be done. He explained everything in layman's terms and encouraged me to do my own research. I did and he was right. The best thing about Al aside from his boisterous personality is that he gave me a price and he stuck to it. There are no add-ons as I experienced with other tradesmen. We found out that a GFI outlet was defective and although it was not part of the job, he replaced it at no charge. Al and his crew are very quick, friendly and clean up before they go. His prices are commensurate with his experience and quality of work.

Al came very quickly to address a problem we are having with flickering lights, analyzed it, and most importantly, got Con Ed on the case immediately since it appears that the problem is being caused by the connection to the Con Ed pole which may have been partially damaged during the March storm. We have great confidence in Al and will certainly use him for additional work that we need done. We would certainly echo other reviews that speak of his friendly demeanor and trustworthiness.

When he first started the job he said I needed special outlets for by the water, he said I needed 2 and only gave me one. He said he would come back and give me another one, and he never came back. I had to hire someone else to come install the 2nd one.

I had a laundry list of small electrical repairs/replacements, and Al was very direct and honest about which items needed attention, and which really didn't. He was quick-- three days from first contact, to job done!

I originally worked with McIntosh electrical and was told I had a short in the wiring in a light fixture and I would have to run a new wire from the ceiling into the switch in the wall. I would've had to tear up the ceiling and wall. I called them several times to come back and do the work and they never came back. I finally called Al and he came within the hour. There was no short. He found the problem and fixed it on the spot. No tearing up of the ceiling or walls. Great job! Looking forward to working with Al in the future.

Had a problem with electrical outlet a year or so ago. Charged hundred bucks just to visit. Then said he couldn’t fix the problem. Total visit time was about three minutes.
