I could not have been more pleased with James and his crew! To say their work was exceptional is an understatement! They were punctual, extremely professional, quick, organized and most of all very, very nice. I received a dining room set from a co-worker who was replacing their own so it was mine if wanted it but needed to hire a mover. Although not brand new was in perfect condition and James and his crew treated it like it precious cargo! Each piece was meticulously wrapped in moving blankets and / or plastic. It was loaded onto the truck very gingerly and packed beautifully. They placed all the pieces in my basement since I'm having some work done in my home and they repacked with cardboard and tarps to keep it clean and protected until I'm ready to use it. James and his crew took my fear of hiring movers totally away - this company, owner and their crew are THE BEST!! HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

As always, Jimmy & his crew performed excellently. They are pleasant, professional people who are willing to do a little extra. All items were packed and labelled in boxes, and the furniture was securely wrapped. The day of delivery was pouring rain, but the men brought everything in, unwrapped, and wiped off anything that got wet. They put together the things that needed to be assembled, and overall, did a wonderful job.

Prior to the move, Jimmy answered all my emails regarding any questions I had. The day of the move, Jimmy arrived with about 4 men and a truck like his name suggest and began work immediately. The guys were quite courteous and moved my stuff within an hour. They arrived to my house and put everything in place. I had a wobbly table and the foreman was kind enough to screw it tighter for me which I greatly appreciated.

Jimmy and his crew were excellent to work with. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. The crew who did the packing always came with a positive attitude. Although a move is stressful, they remained calm and their can -do attitude helped keep us calm. They were very careful in wrapping our pictures and furniture. We had to put our belongings in storage and Jimmy was helpful in directing us to the best storage facilities. We will see them again when our belongings are moved out of storage and I look forward to working with them. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and relatives for a move.

In a word, the services performed were outstanding. We had a big cross country move on our hands, and I did a lot of research ahead of time. I got in-home quotes from ten national and local moving companies, we went with Man With A Van and More for these very important reasons: 1) Price. The estimate provided was on par with all the others, but was flatrated. The price we were told was the price we paid. No surprises--huge, considering the horror stories we heard about the hidden costs of bigger vanliners. 2) Service. Jimmy, the owner of the company, came to our home and personally conducted the estimate. His professionalism and good attitude puts us at ease and we walked away from that meeting feeling that we could trust him with our belongings. Plus, the folks who loaded the truck in NY would be the same folks who unloaded our stuff in Minneapolis, so they'd know our belongings well--particular the fragile pieces. 3) Timing. Jimmy was the only mover who could deliver our stuff within three-five business days. Everyone else could only provide a broad window of time--as much as 23 days. We're a young family, and the idea of transitioning our son to a new life in a new place without the stuff that makes him feel at home was simply disheartening. We needed it fast, and only Jimmy promised to deliver. Moving forward with Jimmy's company turned out to be best decision we could have possibly made. They came over a day before the load-in to wrap furniture and game-plan for the next day. On moving day, they loaded the truck quickly, professionally and without incident, being mindful of our neighbors and helping to pack-up the last of our belongings. Then they hit the road. Over the course of the next three days, we received regular checkins from Jimmy, with real-time estimates about delivery time. The truck arrived within three business days as promised, and Jimmy's men unloaded the truck in record time. Our belongs were unscathed, and well taken care of. In other words: Moving is h***, but Jimmy and his team made it beyond manageable. I can't recommend their services strongly. enough.

Our move was extremely stressful and we had to add on furniture at the last minute. Jimmy was very accommodating and postponed our move a day in order to obtain a larger truck. Men were punctutial, courteous, professional and very careful with the loading and unloading. They moved us in the rain but were very upbeat and accommodated a few additional items we forgot to list. Jimmy and crew made our stressful?.less-stressed and very smooth. Would highly recommend them and use them in the future.

Perfect, perfect, perfect. I HATE moving and I have to say this was the smoothest move that I have ever had. Jimmy was perfect from the beginning. He got right back to me with an estimate and got right on my job. He and his men worked in my house (without me being there) and were so professional that I am stunned. No cursing, no smelling like cigarettes, no breaking things, no trash talking to one another. Just good guys working hard and wanting to do a good job. I am a tough customer and seriously I wouldn't use any other moving company. Oh and before I forget Jimmy didn't hand me a bill for more than the "estimate" like so many other movers do. Jimmy with the help of his 2 employees moved all my furnitures. They showed up at 8am as scheduled, packed meticulously everything in my kitchen + all my furnitures. They protected everything perfectly, jimmy and his 2 employees were extremely professional and nice. When they arrived in the new place they did not hit or touch any wall (with 50+ boxes). Everything was in perfect order, they were very fast but took the needed time to pack and protect everything. Best experience by far I had in 6 years and 6 movings. I strongly recommenc Jimmy's tram.

I needed a quick move, which included moving a baby grand piano. I called Tuesday afternoon and my call was returned within 15 minutes. A move was set up for the following day. All I can say is that I highly recommend this company. After 20+ years as an Army Wife and moving very often-- these guys were the absolute BEST. Prompt, professional and extremely careful. I can't say enough: An excellent moving company all around.

The movers were consummate professionals. I was contacted by telephone on the date scheduled and given a time frame for arrival. This was honored. The men took great care with our things, especially the electric keyboard. It was carefully placed in its box and covered with blankets. Upon arrival in DC the sofa did not fit in the elevator, and the men carried it to the seventh floor. It had to be carefully manipulated into the doorway of the apartment which at first seemed too small, but the men were successful getting it in. They were polite and flawlessly competent. I would not hesitate to use this company again, and I would be happy to be a personal reference at any time.

It was a great experience. The price didn't change upon arrival and they brought enough guys to get the move done quickly and professionally (I even tipped James for the great service).

Service was great. Very responsive with communication to set up the job. The crew was careful with packing our nice furniture so nothing would be damaged. They showed up on time, did everything they said they would, took great care of our belongings, and they stuck to the price that was quoted. I would definitely use them again.

They showed up 20 min to 30 min late. They did an excellent job of wrapping my furniture and handling the fragile boxes. They were friendly and courteous. I am very happy with the service I received and will use them again when I am ready to get my stuff out of storage.

So, in summary, after getting blown off by someone else yesterday, Jimmy and crew helped us out in great fashion, with all calls and service performed SAME DAY, and on super bowl sunday! Plus the cost was better than all others! Highest recomendation!

Everything went very well from the time Jimmy and his crew arrived to when we were finished. The movers were punctual, took care to protect each piece of furniture and segregate which items were going to which location. It was a great experience and I would use them again.

James accommodated my tight schedule by coming at 8 PM with his men. These guys were FANTASTIC. I used to work for a moving company many years ago, so I know good movers when I see them. They wrapped and blanketed the pieces that required it. Moved a huge armoire and triple dresser with ease. They were able to navigate the door, steps, hall and chandelier easily. My flooring job took longer than expected. I was unable to keep our appointment for the reverse move. That was no problem for James. He further accommodated me by coming back on a Saturday to reverse the job. He could have held me off until Monday, but he knew I wanted my bedroom back. His guys even held up the furniture while I put adhesive, felt pads on the bottom of the legs, so it wouldn't scratch my new wood flooring. I cannot speak highly enough about this company. I would highly recommend them to anyone that needs anything moved -anywhere. I would not only use them again....I wouldn't use anyone else! Hire this company and you won't be disappointed. They are PHENOMENAL!

After the initial scheduling hick up due to severe weather, the process went on smoothly. Movers shown up on time. They knew what they were doing and were very polite and professional. The best part about this company is communication: they call back, confirm, respond to emails, phone calls and messages. Overall a very good experience.

Second experience using A Man With A Van. The team is prompt and very professional. Moving is stressful, they really helped to alleviate much of that stress. No damages to my stuff. They had to take apart a few pieces and reassemble them, all done without a complaint, comment or hitch. Would definitely recommend them. God forbid I have to move again, they are my first call.
