The move was seamless from start to finish. Immediate response to initial inquiry, answered all questions, showed up on day of move a little early because of rain and flooding, loaded truck in a little over an hour and I was moved into my new place by 1 pm. Crew was fast, super friendly, strong as popeye. Everything arrived in one piece, no casualties. I LOVE THE MAN WITH A VAN & MORE!!!!

The movers couldn't have been nicer. James went out of his way to find a date and time that could work. He was very prompt responding to emails and calls. His insurance carrier expedited the COI. I would absolutely use them again and would recommend them.

Jimmy and his crew have always been extremely punctual, courteous and competent. Nothing gets broken or lost and everything gets done wth the minimal of fuss. We have used them five times in the past year and can't recommend them more highly. There prices are fair and there aren't any hidden charges.

I got this guy's name from Angie's List and he had great ratings, so I thought, hey, this could be good. God knows we have all heard horror stories about moving. He was responsive, I will give him that, but that is where the accolades end. First, they wouldn't come out to our house to see what we had. We filled out their online thing, and then, in a very short email, he just sent me a price...a VERY HIGH price. I emailed back saying that it couldn't possibly be that much because we have moved before and it was a third the price. I got an email back that seemed like he was yelling saying that I was wrong and it would be a two day move. But how do you know if you won't even come out and see the stuff. Needless to say, we didn't hire then. And we found a great move, from whom it was 1/3 the price they quoted. We would not recommend them. At all.

From my first contact, Jimmy was very responsive and answered the key questions. His guys appeared on time in NYC and moved us out in about 4 hours. We had done almost all the packing of small items - kitchen and clothing. They packed the lamps and larger items -- bed, rugs, tv, tables etc. Jimmy showed up himself and ensured us all would be delivered early morning the following day in DC. His workers were very courteous and efficient. In DC the next day, they arrived on time first thing in the morning and finished the unloading and placement in less than two hours. Overall a great experience during a stressful time of moving homes. Thank you JImmy.

As painless as possible. James and I discussed the details of the move well in advance, yet he was still flexible on the day of the move to handle things differently as required. The furniture was handled with care and moved swiftly; items that required boxing were also dealt with quickly and efficiently. Once the furniture was installed in the new apartment the team took the time to put together and move around whatever I needed. I would also like to point out the particularly impressive job the movers did in transporting the remaining furniture in the storage facility into such a small unit. Although not part of the move itself, the remaining furniture was so meticulously placed into the smaller locker that I have managed to save a significant amount of money on storage as well as have a smooth move. In short, I would heartily recommend this moving service to all.

This is the third time that we have used Man With A Van, and we were very happy with the services provided. Jimmy, the owner, and the entire crew were professional and hard working. They were very careful with our furniture and household belongings and had a positive, can do attitude throughout. We definitely recommend them and would rate them as an A mover!

Fantastic! Top quality professionalism and service, Mr. Consagna arrived within 1 hour of my wife and I requesting an estimate. He was cordial and courteous. He immediately gave us the estimate. He and his men arrived promptly to pack us and then move us the following day. The movers were excellent, attentive to detail, and thorough in their work. They finished the work quickly and with very high quality. I would recommend them extremely highly and will definitely use them again when we move next year.

In looking for a mover, we were drawn to Man With a Van for two reasons: the recommendation of the local Westy concierge service and stellar reviews on Angie?s List. It definitely turned out to be the right choice. With Jimmy and his crews, you?re in the hands of professionals. For starters, they show up promptly at the appointed days and times (no small consideration when you?re facing a hard move-out deadline). Also can?t say enough how great they crew was that moved us was (from New York to Massachusetts, packing up 20 years of living in a 5 bedroom house). They?re insanely hard working and extremely careful in packing even the most inconsequential items. It helps, of course, that they?ve done this a million times and really know what they?re doing. We had a couple of tricky pieces of furniture that had to be taken apart and reassembled; they took care of them with no sweat. Beyond that, they?re just terrific guys--friendly and helpful and a pleasure to be around at a time that can be pretty stressful. It?s worth noting that we had the same four guys handle ourmove from start to finish, no changing cast of characters every day etc. Additionally, we had a timing challenge with our move?.we could not move into our new home until a week after we moved out of our old one. Jimmy had a plan, recommending using ABF trailers for the move so that we could ?park? the trailers at a terminal (an additional cost) until we closed on the house. However, there was a wrinkle that was a bit stress inducing for everyone involved. While we had drained gasoline from the mower and snow blower, there was a ?gasoline? odor detected and one trailer was held in NY at the ABF terminal while it aired out before it could cross state lines. As it turned out, it was the remaining oil in the mower putting off the smell. And while it leaked, because Jimmy?s crew had wrapped the mower in cardboard, the oil didn?t damage any of our other possessions. As for the cost, Jimmy?s bid was competitive, but not the lowest. But picking a mover is one of those times (choosing a doctor to perform major surgery is another) when going with the cheapest option isn?t necessarily a wise decision. The extra couple of bucks you might pay is money more than well spent.

This was our first move in over 23 years. The owner, James Consaga, was very responsive to our questions and phone calls prior to moving. He arrived promptly on the day of the move. He brought along 4 wonderful movers that have been with him for several years. They were all professional, accommodating, pleasant, organized , fast and very careful with our belongings and furniture. well i probably blame myself for not having a conversation about an exact time i needed the movers to arrive, because of that the doorbell rang at 8:15 AM to my surprise! But honestly that is the only negative thing i can say about this moving process. this was the best expierence i have ever had during a move. the guys were great fast respectful and never said no to any surprises thrown their way. and on the other end in West Orange the greatness continued. You hear story after story about crazy and terrible moves all across the city you would be insane not to use Man with a Van

Jimmy's crew did an outstanding job! The job was on short notice and needed to be completed within the same day. While I had doubts whether the crew could accomplish, they were really impressive and delivered: they arrived early; packed and loaded with lightning speed without any damage/problem; moved into new apartment, unpacked, and reassembled all furniture! While they carried out the job, I made additional requests and the crew and Jimmy carried those out instantly without any question! This was our fourth household move over a period of almost fifty years and by far our best experience. We called ?A Man with a Van and More! Inc.? and James Consaga came out, looked over our household and the warehouse storage room we had, and gave us an estimate the next day. We were given precise times and dates for the loading and the delivery (our move was about 200 miles) with telephone follow-ups for any minor changes. Jim arrived with the crew for the loading of the van and the eventual unloading at the end. He was always there, closely supervising everything; any problems were dealt with promptly. His crew was, to put it simply, unbelievable! A seasoned crew of four who had been with him for years swarmed over all our belongings, packing everything, often redoing our attempts, and making it all seem easy. A huge antique table of ours would not fit through the doors; they discovered how to take it apart? Their work was not finished until everything was reassembled at the new location. Little touches like the shelf pins wrapped in plastic and taped to the shelves were highly appreciated. Nothing was overlooked. If moving was an Olympic event, this would be the US team.

We had a great experience with Jimmy and his crew from 'start to finish'. He responded quickly to our inquiry, I completed an online form and also set up a time for Jimmy to stop by our house to confirm the estimate. I agreed to pack our belongings and he gave me helpful tips on how to deal with certain items. I knew after meeting Jimmy that he would do a great job and take care of our belongings. Prior to the move, Jimmy was extremely responsive whenever I had a question or concern. Once the moving day arrived, Jimmy and his crew arrived promptly and began moving items onto the truck. They were all professional, patient, courteous, respectful and careful with our belongings. Although moving is stressful, Jimmy and his crew put us at ease and all of items arrived at our new home safely and without any damage. We would highly recommend this company! So many Angie's List reviews with Straight A ratings. Seems too good to be true ... I emailed this company asking for a site visit for an estimate. A Jimmy replied that I needed to fill out their online inventory form first. Fair enough, I took an hour and filled it out. He responded immediately that if the list was accurate he really didn't need to come by, he estimated that it would cost $10,000 which would include the cost of flying him to Dallas to meet the truck there. But he also said it could go up to $15,000. Those numbers were scary but I was in the research phase of the move and he was the first mover to give me prices so for all I knew everyone else could be in that range. However I thought the flying to Dallas part was a little unusual. I asked him to come by for an estimate and he made an appointment. The doorbell rang a little earlier than the appointed time so I asked them to wait since I was on a previously scheduled call. But it wasn't Jimmy who showed up, instead it was 3 of his movers who'd just come off a job. They barely spoke English and they spent about 2 minutes in the apartment, just eyeballing it. It was not a serious estimate, just a way to respond to an annoying customer's insistence on a site visit. After that visit he emailed me again to inform me that now his estimate was $15,000. It didn't feel like he seriously wanted the job. Ultimately I got quotes from 2 other movers that were well under 50% of his quote, and both movers seemed extremely good, it was hard deciding between them. But it was very easy deciding not to go with this company.

From the moment I filled out the request on Sunday morning everything was amazing. Jimmy answered my request within an hour, showed up on a Sunday afternoon to see the job and give me a price. Came here on Wednesday with his crew and completed the job in no time. Professional, knowledgeable, reliable, nice people. Rarely have had such an easy transaction and have been so pleased. Jimmy did exactly what he said he would do. Very good experience, and would highly recommend.

after speaking with owner who gave me a 'set price' (price for specific items discussed); they showed up at my moms condo. when my sister and i asked if they would move 2-3 items into my moms garage from her office; the owner got in my face and screamed "that's not what was discussed" - i was so taken aback i really couldn't believe it. it would be one thing if i asked him to move additional items up to my place; i understand; but for the 3 men to move 2 items into her garage from her office; i mean really? he supervised the rest of the move. I will say his staff was excellent, very professional but the owner needs to go to charm school; he was awful

Jim was responsive to all questions and even went out of his way to give me referrals for future work to be done on my home. Gave a fair price, arrived on time. Crew worked efficiently and took care to protect my walls, floors, belongings. All very professional. Couldn't be happier and will use again as needed. Highly recommend.

I'm so grateful!! The Vitsoe shelving system is expensive, beautiful and I think they no longer make the silver finish. The crew again (major move was last week) arrived on time, worked steadily, packed the items in a careful and thorough way, finished quickly and went to the UPS ground shipping office in Brooklyn. When they got there, UPS was very difficult to deal with. Long story short, despite having an afternoon job they were anxious to get to, Jimmy Consaga persisted with the staff, helped me get the information I was lacking and sliced thru the bureaucracy. And he didn't abandon my problem. It was awesome.

The team arrived early, were extremely hard working, careful and thorough in wrapping and packing items. It gave me great confidence everything was going to arrive intact. They dealt effectively with challenges at the building I moved into with parking and having to walk more than a block from the van to the building, then a small freight elevator (1930's small building). They spent more time than I think they usually need to and put in a very long second day moving and unpacking. I highly recommend them. Smart, efficient, effective. So much better than any moving experience I have had over many years.

Jim and his team cleared out all the boxes and furniture from my (8'x8') storage room in Shelton CT, hauled everything to Bronxville NY and unloaded everything exactly as I asked. Just finished using Jimmy's company this afternoon. I can be super critical when warranted because I believe the best way to do business is to bend over backwards to please the customer. I must say that Man with a Van & More fits this description to a tee. In all the moves I've ever undertaken, this one was the smoothest and best by far. Starting with the initial estimate, Jimmy came promptly as promised to our apartment and did a complete walk through. His all-in price (guaranteed no add-ons, extras or last-minute surprises) was most fair (and below other estimates I received from other highly rated movers). When I selected him, the terms were 50% upfront and 50% upon completion. Once a move specific date was agreed upon, Jimmy kept me fully informed thru texts as to details. He responded almost immediately to all my texts to him with questions. As agreed, one of the crew (Davey) arrived precisely on schedule and spent most of the day before the actual move at the apartment pre-packing the furniture, dishes, glassware, pictures, etc., etc. He was exceedingly careful with everything he touched, pointed out any existing nicks or scratches where warranted and to my eye couldn't have done a more meticulous, careful job. This morning (move day) Jimmy, his three helpers and the well-equipped truck all arrived again at the apartment exactly at the time promised. Once again, I couldn't have asked for a moving crew to have provided more cordial, careful and efficient service. They went out of their way to accommodate all requests. Upon arriving at the storage facility, the efficiency was once again on display for the unload with Nicholas (one of crew) masterfully arranging all items in our particular unit to maximum advantage. The final price was as agreed upfront to the penny without a hint of looking for more. Net, net, I would use without an instant's hesitation Jimmy and his guys again for any future move, and I heartily recommend his company to all who read this. He was cordial, fair, honest and excessively responsive. His crew was careful, meticulous, friendly and efficient. Couldn't have asked for a better moving experience.
