We used Man with a Van (James Consaga) to move my daugther, a medical student from one student apartment to another nearby. I had an excellent experience - good communication up front and a clear process on their web site for determining the price. The day of the move was the day that the recent northeaster hit with rain and extremely high winds (40 mph +). The crew wrapped everything in pads and plastic and transported it from building to building on dollies in the midst of a serious weather event. No problems or damage. The crew leader was very helpful and actually made some adjustments to an IKEA bed that he disassembled to prevent future problems. These guys knew what they were doing. I did give 4 stars on price as it was a bit more expensive than I anticipated but in the end well worth it.

Three man team showed up and did a great job. Moved a very difficult treadmill and 3 seater couch to basement for me. Would definitely hire them again. They were in and out in approximately 30min - 1 hour.

Excellent. Team was very prompt, professional and particular. They came a day early to wrap and secure everything prior to the move. The move itself went very smoothly. Team was punctual and treated our property with care and respect. Nothing was broken or scratched in the process. In addition, the move was completed on time. Would definitely recommend this company based on the experience we had. They are also just really good people which ads to our overall approval.

Packers were very professional. Showed up on time and went to work immediately. Packed the whole kitchen in about 1/2 a day and moved boxes into my living room where they stayed during the kitchen remodeling project. Professionally wrapped all my items. Nothing was broken or lost. When kitchen project was complete, packers came back to my house to move a heavy maple hutch back into the kitchen as well as move a table and two chairs and all remaining boxes (which I had not unpacked yet) from the living room back into the kitchen. I was very pleased with the work. The firm, A Man With A Van and More, was very easy to work with. Scheduling was simple and not complicated. Very accomodating to my schedule. Would definitely hire again.

Amazing- called Jimmy late afternoon on Friday and his driver/team were on their way by 4 am Saturday. Not only were they punctual and professional, they picked up in Virginia, dropped off first 1/2 of shipment in Connecticut by 6:30 and the remainder of shipment was dropped off in New Hampshire by 10:30 that same day. I've hired them before as has my sister-in-law (several times) and have never been disappointed!

The crew of A Man with a Van & more were prompt, courteous, efficient and moved my furnishings, books and papers expeditiously and safely. Highly recommend Jim and co.

Very well - impressed with the responsiveness of the team. This was pulled together last minute, involved busy people (me!) and getting a COI taken care day of — everything was very smooth. Highly recommend James and his team. Emily as well on the COI. They made it easy.

I had a last minute request to move a trunk from the Hudson Valley to Long Island. I had called every company I knew with no luck so I tried Angies List. I called this company because of their high number of positive reviews. I wish I had read the negative reviews first. While I recognize that my job was last minute, they still took the job on. On the day of my job I emailed JIm Consaga asking if he had an ETA for the final destination and he responded with a curt ‘when we get there’. When I called the answering service a couple of hours later for an ETA I got a call back from Jim who immediately started screaming at me as soon as I picked up the phone. I don’t think asking twice in the course of a couple of hours for an ETA is unreasonable. I had people in Long Island who were doing nothing but waiting on the arrival of my trunk. I was told that the driver was polite, professional and courteous. However based on my response from Jim directly I can’t believe this man is still in business.

The guys were great. Would recommend if you need to move. Very efficient.

Went great. They were easy to work with, on time, and got the job done.

Moving from one home to another. The first home had a staircase which did not accommodate large pieces of furniture. Instead, they had to be hoisted over a balcony or stairs. In the second home, an apartment house, a platform bed was carried up six flights of stairs because it did not fit into the elevator. The men did a great job. I have not yet unpacked so I don’t know if anything was broken. But the furniture arrived unscathed. They did an excellent job unpacking, which required placing some items in basement storage as well as on the 6th floor.

Jimmy and his team are terrific. Very responsive and professional! I am a repeat customer and have referred friends. He is always my first call for any move, big or small!

James and his team are like a well-oiled machine! They were courteous, professional, tidy and very reliable. I required help moving several large and very delicate pieces into a storage facility as well as disposing of a tremendous amount of heavy rubbish. (filing cabinets; old stereo consoles, big tables) They also shredded many bags of documents. They came a few days prior to the move to take a look and give an estimate to which they adhered. Everything went as smoothly as possible. I would highly recommend A Man with a Van & More to anyone who wants to make their move a painless and even pleasant experience.

Can't believe how well it went. We had heard horror stories about long distance movers. I emailed James and described our move. His really efficient representative came to our home and gave us an estimate. After we signed the contract I had to change the moving date and he was really accommodating. He moved us on a very busy holiday weekend. The men arrived on time and were very professional and helpful. They moved everything out faster than expected, They delivered everything the next morning as agreed. Everything was unpacked and placed quickly, with no damage. This was a perfect move and we will be sure to recommend this company to anyone we know with a move.

The guys who actually packed up and moved my furniture were terrific. They were friendly, with positive can-do attitudes, and they easily accommodated changes in our needs. They did not scratch or damage anything. ANYTHING. And they carried most things by hand, not using dollies or hand trucks. In short, these guys behaved as if they actually cared for our (antique) furniture, and it showed. I don't think I've ever moved before without having at least one thing damaged -- but these guys kept everything pristine.
